Health › Have You Experienced Some Very Unusual Electric Shock? by Igbophobia(op):
When I was a child, I visited my village during a holiday and had my first experience with an unusual source electric shock—from a rather unexpected source. Where I come from, when people swear oaths before deities, they celebrate if they survive a full year afterward. Their continued life is seen as proof of innocence.

One day, a kinsman and neighbor who had taken such an oath was celebrating his survival. I was lying on a metal-frame bed inside our family house, watching the festivities through the window. As part of the celebration, the man began firing cannons packed with gunpowder. Suddenly, one of the cannons exploded, and I felt a sharp electric shock run through my body. It had traveled through the metal frame of the bed I was holding. I immediately let go. How that was even possible, I still don’t understand.

The second time I experienced a strange and unusual electric shock was on a rainy night. I was working on my laptop, which was charging through a generator outside on the balcony. There was no public power supply at the time. As lightning flashed and thunder roared, a sudden shock surged through the laptop and into me, followed by an explosion and some smoke. I jumped up, ran out, and quickly switched off the generator. Thankfully, the laptop wasn’t damaged—but the shock was very real.

My third encounter with an unusual electric shock also involved that same generator—the small one popularly called "I-pass-my-neighbour." I had turned it off completely, but when I touched a metal part of it, I received a massive electric shock. From a generator that was switched off, o! I couldn’t believe it.

The last unusual electric shock I experienced came from a charging phone. It was raining heavily, and I had the phone plugged in while using earphones. Despite having basic knowledge of electrical hazards, I was totally absent-minded about the risk at that moment. During the storm, I felt a sudden, powerful blow to my head—it was as if a giant fist had struck me. Immediately after, there was a loud clap of thunder. I quickly yanked the earphones out of my ears even before I heard the sound of thunder. Stunned, I had to reassure myself no one else was in the room since the blow was real. Apparently, the blow, not really shock coincided with the lightning that came just before the thunder. That experience made me truly aware of the risks associated with rains and storms and electrical devices. These days, I never touch my phone or go near the generator during rain.

Have you ever had an unusual electric shock from an unexpected source?

Foreign Affairs › Teacher, IDF Soldier Charged With Spying For Iran by Igbophobia(op): 1:45am On Jul 19, 2025
This is just like being hired by the devil while you're employed by God.

Prosecutors charged two Israeli citizens, a Bedouin teacher and an IDF soldier, with spying for Iran, the police and Shin Bet said in joint statements on Thursday in the latest of a string of cases of Tehran tempting Israelis into performing tasks for payment.

According to law enforcement, 33-year-old Tahani Abu Samhan, from the Bedouin village of Abu Queider in the Negev, had been in contact with an Iranian agent for a year, including amid Israel’s recent war against the Islamic Republic.

She allegedly filmed fighter jets taking off from the southern Nevatim airbase during the war at the behest of her handler, then passed the videos along to the agent.

State prosecutors said Abu Samhan was fully aware the person she was in contact with was an Iranian operative, noting that she had used a separate phone to communicate with the agent.

Similar to others accused of spying for Iran, Abu Samhan’s handler paid her, according to i24 News. She was reportedly compensated in cash, unlike the majority of recruits who receive payment in cryptocurrency. It is unclear how the money was transferred to her.

Police said she was charged in the Beersheba District Court with the offenses of maintaining contact with a foreign agent and passing intelligence to the enemy. Prosecutors requested that the court order her to be detained until the end of legal proceedings against her.

In a separate statement, the Shin Bet and police announced that an IDF soldier was also charged with spying on behalf of Iran in return for financial compensation.

After being detained recently and following an investigation led by the Shin Bet, the police’s Lahav 433 major crimes unit and the Military Police, military prosecutors filed an indictment against the soldier on Thursday.

The joint statement said the soldier “knowingly maintained contact with Iranian elements and carried out tasks for them, including transferring footage of interceptions and filming rocket impact sites in Israel.”

The Shin Bet noted that the information the soldier provided to Iran was not classified and did not come to the soldier as part of his role in the IDF. The agency added that the incident was “especially grave” because the Israeli soldier “maintained contact with the enemy.”
Military prosecutors charged the soldier with contacting a foreign agent and transmitting information to the enemy.

A military court ordered that the soldier remain held until July 22, though his remand is expected to be extended further amid the trial. Over the past two years, Iran has ramped up its efforts to recruit Israelis as spies in exchange for money.
In most cases, Israelis are recruited by Iranian handlers online and begin by carrying out small, innocuous tasks that gradually grow into more serious offenses, like intelligence gathering and even assassination plots.

According to the Israel Police, at least 47 suspects involved in 27 separate cases have been arrested since October 7, 2023. Charges have been filed against 40 of them, according to a security official.

The only conviction so far has been of an Israeli businessman who was likely targeted rather than recruited randomly, as many of the others appear to have been.

Politics › Re: Why Did Africa's Most Intelligent Tribes Suffer Genocides? by Igbophobia(op): 10:16pm On Jul 18, 2025
In mid-1993, Hutu radicals launched their own radio channel, Radio Télévision Libre des Mille Collines (RTLM). The channel would be used to incite hatred towards Tutsi by using propaganda and racist ideology, such as the Hutu Ten Commandments. On April 6, 1994, when the President’s plane was shot down, killing both the Rwandan and Burundian presidents, the radical Hutu radio channel announced the deaths, urging Hutus to “go to work” and attack the Tutsi population. The genocide had begun.
Have you heard of the term 'German Machine?' It was a pre WWI term which prepogrammed the German army to attack Russia in the event of a war in Europe. The Kaiser simply set in motion a mechanism to attack a country he has been programmed to hate. This term could be applied to what happened to the Tutsis in Rwanda, Not just because it was a German colony, but it was a doctrine adopted by European powers all over the world. What happened to the Tutsis nd by extension, the Igbos was an unstoppable mechanics planted by Germany, Belgium and Britain respectively. If a tribe is considered smart, it must not hold power.

PDP is a party of fools. We realized that the moment they failed to expel Wike. What would Obi want in a party where Wike would be used by Tinubu to undermine him?

If PDP has sensible people, they wouldn't have allowed Atiku share dollars for candidacy. But we all know how arrogant the party was. It should just be buried.

He also wants to change the dynamics of Nigerian politics from being a money-driven politics to an issue-based politics where contestants are assessed mostly based on their leadership plan and antecedents and not based on how much money they can dish out to political jobbers and wolves to win both party primaries and main election.

With independence, the Hutus consolidated power and facilitated widespread discrimination against Tutsi, excluding Tutsis from prominent careers and implementing education quotas. A Hutu Power ideology emerged, grounded in the Hamitic Hypothesis, in which Tutsi were recognized as foreigners to Rwanda, rather than an indigenous ethnic group. This racist ideology, initially propagated by Germany and later Belgium during colonization, argued Tutsis were inferior to the Hutu majority. This theory would be used to incite the genocide in 1994. In the months and weeks before the genocide began, Hutu radicals began compiling lists of potential Tutsi targets and moderate Hutus. In addition, the Hutu dominated government began stockpiling weapons, including machetes. These machetes and other rudimentary weapons would be the tools that carried out the genocide.
How different is this from what Igbo see in Nigeria, discriminVtion whose origin is the British colonialists?

rinzaugustine:
The reason why he has that cult like political stardom in Nigeria is that since the 1993 Abiola campaign when bashorun are ona kakanfo laid bare his solutions of transformation of the country which Nigerians aligned with him; no politician had come close to outlining how their vision and policy can fix the problems of the country till Obi came in 2023 and swept an entire country off its feet with his vision and practical implementation of same to restore Nigeria to prosperity. We looked at his plan , believed in it to transform Nigeria because we do not have any other country than the one they are destroying today, so we became obidient to that vision and goal to restore Nigeria to prosperity and safe country
80% of educated Nigerians believe in Obi. This is why he swept most of the urban cities with enlightened people. However, the system is skewed against him because politicians do not care about the interest of the masses but who would reward them individually. Just like Buhari joined APC in their lies, Obi would have to lie to them to gain their support. We saw what Wike is doing? That's vintage politician character. Unfortunately or fortunately, Obi isn't made of the crude stuff.
Foreign Affairs › "My Father’s Location Changed Every Few Hours Yet He Was Assassinated By Israel" by Igbophobia(op): 11:44pm On Jul 16, 2025
It's obvious no enemy successfully hides from Israel.

Israel killed top Iranian general despite all precautions, daughter says

Israel managed to find and kill a top Revolutionary Guards commander despite his forswearing of communication methods that aided Israeli assassinations before, his daughter revealed, amid allegations that Israel used WhatsApp to track down its targets.

“My father’s location changed every few hours. He carried no smart devices or phones. Security protocols were followed, yet during his time commanding the war headquarters, he was repeatedly targeted for assassination by Israel,” Mahdieh Shadmani, daughter of Ali Shadmani, wrote on Instagram on Friday.

Ali Shadmani, who had been appointed commander of Iran's Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, was killed just four days after assuming the post. His predecessor, Gholam Ali Rashid, had been killed in an Israeli strike.

Mahdieh Shadmani added that her father was not in uniform at the time of his assassination and was tracked and killed while wearing “plain, dusty clothes without military insignia.”

She made the remarks in reaction to allegations that Israel used WhatsApp messaging app to track down Iranian military commanders.

During the twelve-day war, Iranian state media urged citizens to delete WhatsApp from their smartphones, alleging that the app gathered information it passed to Israel.

WhatsApp denied the accusation and warned that such claims could be used as a pretext to restrict access to the service for users in need of information inside Iran.

Israel killed a number of top commanders from Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps during the war.

Among the confirmed deaths were Armed Forces Chief of Staff Mohammad Bagheri, Revolutionary Guards chief Hossein Salami, IRGC Aerospace Force Commander Amir Ali Hajizadeh and IRGC Deputy for Operations Mehdi Rabbani.

Beginning in 1994 and lasting only 100 days, the Rwandan Genocide is one of the most notorious modern genocides. During this 100 day period between April and July 1994, nearly one million ethnic Tutsi and moderate Hutu were killed as the international community and UN peacekeepers stood by.

To understand how such a tragic event could happen, the Rwandan Genocide must first be seen as the product of Belgian colonialism. It was during colonial rule that Rwanda’s ethnic groups: Hutu, Tutsi, and Twa became racialized. It was the rigidification of these identities and their relationship with political power that would lay the foundation for genocidal violence. When Rwanda gained independence in 1962, the ethnic majority, Hutus, were left in power. Hutu rule resulted in widespread discrimination against Tutsi, laying the groundwork for the 1994 genocide.

Looking at the bolded, you would ask yourself why the UN peacekeepers looked on during the murders of Tutsis. Would they hve done that if it was in Europe or America or if those being killed were white people?

Why did the Belgians intentionally give power to the Hutus instead of the more intelligent Tutsis who by the way were the traditionally recognized precolonial rulers of Rwanda?

Why won't Africans demand that Africa be recreated and recalibrated based on traditional tribal lines and alliances?

You guys do not know what's going on. Just like the Yoruba government, the day JAMB lost the last vestiges of integrity was when a Yoruba Muslim was appointed a registrar. This same JAMB has been run by northerners for decades without ethnic bias but just look whhow a Yoruba man with their avid hatred for Igbo tries very hard to victimize Igbo children year in year out.

When he wept due to glitch, did you for once imagine he was weeping for his incompetence? No...he wept because his plan to fail Igbo children was busted. And his dream of having one Ademola or Adekunle as top scorer scuttled. Until you guys understand that this is not a country and call for its dissolutions, native Africans in this British contraption will continue moving on circles.

These same people only remember south when it's election time but their odium is far more than what a northern Muslim can conceive.

Have you ever wondered why the Canadian troops in Kigali under the UN mandate did nothing while those Tutsis were being murdered? Black skins? Have you also wondered why Igbo civilians that knew nothing about politics were murdered? Is there a correlation between being African and smart and being hated by Africans and Caucasians?

Maybe crowdfunding for Peter Obi is the next reasonable thing though I don't even see the man using the money to bribe delegates so it's still useless.
