As the 2027 general election approaches, one of the most commonly used phrases among Nigerians, especially voters...is “Vote wisely.”

Yet, the phrase is often misconstrued as an attack on a particular candidate. In fact, many Tinubu/APC supporters seem to interpret it as a direct jab at Tinubu, reacting hysterically and launching venomous verbal attacks at anyone who says it.

Ironically, if “Vote wisely” sounds offensive to someone, perhaps they should ask themselves why

The funniest political fantasy flying around today is the idea that Kwankwaso would agree to deputise Pitobi. The gap is simply too wide. Kwankwaso is a 2-term governor, former legislator, former minister, and a PhD holder with decades of political structure and experience behind him.

So how exactly do people expect a man with such credentials to line up behind someone who finished third despite all the online noise and turned a 4- academic year course into a six-session struggle? Apart from the court judgment that handed him the governorship, what exactly is the intimidating political achievement here? Social media hype is not governance.

Peter Obi does not fully understand the political dynamics in the North. The core northern states will not vote for a joint ticket with Kwankwaso, as they view Kwankwaso as a spoiler. Just observe carefully, how many states does Kwankwaso actually command followers in, aside from Kano and parts of Jigawa? How many politicians have defected from other parties to the NDC from the North since he left the ADC? The NDC has no grassroots presence in the North.

Atiku will also face challenges, as he may not achieve the required spread in the South. So, in my opinion, the odds favor Tinubu. Although he is not widely popular, his party has the necessary geographical spread.

Why are you linking a candidates ability to play dirty politics with governance? That’s our problem. We worship corrupt politicians and then blame the decent ones who have ideas to move Nigeria forward. That is how some of you were saying, “na statistics we go chop”. The Tinubu that knows how to play politics, has he improved your life. If you are honest, you and I know you don’t have money to cover 4 months of your expenses. Just like many Nigerians. We should not even mention healthcare. Please let’s focus more on development.

You people keep saying Obi won without realizing how difficult it is for someone who didn't win the Yoruba or Hausa vote to win a Presidential election. Someone with no agent in tens of thousands of polling units? The number of votes in Hausa land and Yoruba land is over 55 percent of the total and I don't think anyone with poor showings in both constituencies have much hope of winning any Presidential election. Obi did not win. He came third

If Nigeria was three regions at amalgamation, why then do you say it's Southern turn instead of coming out bold to say it's the turn of the Southeast.

We have no problems with a Southeasterner becoming president but power is not demanded for. You either play the politics like the two other regions are doing to get it or you step aside.
