Ofunaofu: As the 2027 general election approaches, one of the most commonly used phrases among Nigerians, especially voters...is “Vote wisely.”
Yet, the phrase is often misconstrued as an attack on a particular candidate. In fact, many Tinubu/APC supporters seem to interpret it as a direct jab at Tinubu, reacting hysterically and launching venomous verbal attacks at anyone who says it.
Ironically, if “Vote wisely” sounds offensive to someone, perhaps they should ask themselves why

IGBOPROMISE1: Bros, you have to ask why these emilokan acolytes have only Peter Obi in their sights despite other opposition figures like Atiku, Amaechi and Kwakwanso also being contenders! Any move you see by Tinubu supporters to promote any of the aforementioned trio, or even GEJ for that matter, over Peter Obi…..this shouldn’t come as a surprise! They don’t want Peter Obi getting the ticket for NDC, and this is why Kwakwanso is their new love interest! They know EXACTLY why they fear and despise Peter Obi in equal measure….and besides their natural disdain for Ndigbo, the true outcome of the 2023 presidential election is another reason not to like the man! The reason Tinubu and co fear and hate Obi is that he won the last election with at least 9 million votes. IREV shutdown, voter supression in Lagos, Rivers, SW and the north gave them the opportunity to rig him out. The are terrified that if he gets on the ballot in a party capable of defending his votes, they'd stand no chance. |

Richtaiwo: The funniest political fantasy flying around today is the idea that Kwankwaso would agree to deputise Pitobi. The gap is simply too wide. Kwankwaso is a 2-term governor, former legislator, former minister, and a PhD holder with decades of political structure and experience behind him.
So how exactly do people expect a man with such credentials to line up behind someone who finished third despite all the online noise and turned a 4- academic year course into a six-session struggle? Apart from the court judgment that handed him the governorship, what exactly is the intimidating political achievement here? Social media hype is not governance. The gap is too much ba? 6 million votes and 1 million votes

Avedonn: Peter Obi does not fully understand the political dynamics in the North. The core northern states will not vote for a joint ticket with Kwankwaso, as they view Kwankwaso as a spoiler. Just observe carefully, how many states does Kwankwaso actually command followers in, aside from Kano and parts of Jigawa? How many politicians have defected from other parties to the NDC from the North since he left the ADC? The NDC has no grassroots presence in the North.
Atiku will also face challenges, as he may not achieve the required spread in the South. So, in my opinion, the odds favor Tinubu. Although he is not widely popular, his party has the necessary geographical spread. Balabablubulaaba

If Nigeria is a working country don't you think primary election ought to have been banned... You are so much used to illegalities that it has become normal to you....
Do you think someone who distributed wads of dollars to serve, has good intentions? Don't you think the money is going to be recovered 100 folds without mercy ?
You guys are just shouting primary primary as if you have participated in it....
2023 a PDP deligate from Kaduna and rivers State were displaying the bundles of cash they were bride with to select a candidate and you called that a fair game....
Pls be logical in reasoning for the sake of our beloved country Why are you linking a candidates ability to play dirty politics with governance? That’s our problem. We worship corrupt politicians and then blame the decent ones who have ideas to move Nigeria forward. That is how some of you were saying, “na statistics we go chop”. The Tinubu that knows how to play politics, has he improved your life. If you are honest, you and I know you don’t have money to cover 4 months of your expenses. Just like many Nigerians. We should not even mention healthcare. Please let’s focus more on development. They're in love with thieves because they themselves are thieves. |

Politics › My Advice To Mr Peter Obi by Igbophobia(op): 1:33pm On May 05 |
Oga, this time no one is interested in going to court. In fact, noone cares about the judiciary and no eye would be on them. So as you campaign, make sure that the votes Nigerians cast for you this time is well-protected. I would have thought that you and the so-called opposition would have focused and be fixated on thorough electoral reform that includes total electronic transmission since 2023. As things stands at the moment, your only path to victory is ensuring that the rigging of 2023 doesn't reoccur - no shutting down of IREV to manipulate figures and no suppression of your votes in places like the north, Lagos and Rivers.
Whatever you're doing sir, I want you to know that Nigerians are ready to vote for you, so incorporate into any campaigns the modality with which those votes are protected and modalities to ensure that we don't finally get COOKed up figures from INEC. Unless you do this, most Nigerians would not be interested in future elections.
I think this is the time to start canvassing for an internationally supervised election and not just leave everything with INEC. I also think that you should be sure that NDC has sufficient agents and a backup plan to ensure the integrity of the vote-counting process. In 2023, we learnt that you had no agents in 10,000+ polling units. I'm sure those were the ground zero of the 2023 rigging. This time, dot all Is and cross all Ts and we Nigerians will be happy with you.
Datti said you guys had more than 10 million votes in 2023. The truth is that Nigerians may never know the true result of the 2023 election. But we are hoping that 2027 would be radically different. Prove to us that it can be done. |

AMINDA: Outplayed excuses. How would Atiku buy the direct primaries when you can vote for Obi yourself? Will you send your account to him so he can buy your vote with dollars? In any case, what if Kwankwaso insists on primaries in the new party? Obi will port again, not so? He said it that if there is a non incentivized primary that he would support the winner. Nevertheless, he has maintained that power MUST remain in the south for the next 4 years. Something Atiku isn't willing to adhere with. |

Atiku Abubakar Will Never Become The President Of Nigeria Some of you Tinubu supporters' statements are laughable. Thais is still you people who claimed Obi couldn't score 10,000 votes in 2023. Politics › Re: Even Atiku Knows Who Won In 2023 by Igbophobia(op): 2:05pm On May 03 |
AMINDA: Here we go again with the self-righteous politics. "If he loses, Nigeria loses indeed." He is beginning to earn a reputation as someone who cannot keep his own word. No matter how you try to sell his candidacy as sainthood, he has now left two political parties at the brink after pledging loyalty, all just to run from primaries. That alone shows desperation but go on. That's a misconception. Obi has always stated that his anti-corruption, anti-established-pattern stance, knowing how corrupt Nigeria's electoral system is. The corruption in which folks like Tinubu and Atiku thrive on. So you want him to sit tight in LP while the government engender crisis within or sit tight with ADC which Atiku would likely buy over with dollar? Nah... I rather think Obi is learning the hard way that dismantling the network of corruption that has held the country at stangleholds for decades would take a more daring approach. The question is: would he go all the way knowing that those benefiting from the status quo won't back him? Would the masses go all the way with him? I am sure of the latter but the former? Not sure. In any case, I think the people would rather go with him than any other politician alive today. Will the establishment stop him the way they stopped Aminu Kano, the only other politician I know that the masses truly rooted for? Perhaps. |
Politics › Re: Even Atiku Knows Who Won In 2023 by Igbophobia(op): 1:44pm On May 03 |
AMINDA: I hope he now has contingency plans in place to have polling agents in all polling units in his new party? Well... the guy says he isn't desperate to be president. If he loses, Nigeria loses, not just him. That's obvious to all discerning mind. At least we know that neither Tinubu nor Atiku has what it takes to lift the country out of doldrum. Nevertheless, I think Obi is rather casual about this presidency thing. I thought he and the Obidient movement would have started working on 1) Electoral reform by exerting the right pressure from 2023. 2) Working on grassroot mobilization to ensure that party agents would be on ground no matter the party he contests on their ticket/ I sincerly hope they somehow have that on ground because many Nigerians wouldn't want to vote him and have their votes swapped for Tinubu or Atiku like they did in 2023. |

lawani: You people keep saying Obi won without realizing how difficult it is for someone who didn't win the Yoruba or Hausa vote to win a Presidential election. Someone with no agent in tens of thousands of polling units? The number of votes in Hausa land and Yoruba land is over 55 percent of the total and I don't think anyone with poor showings in both constituencies have much hope of winning any Presidential election. Obi did not win. He came third Look at the bolded. We all know that AMINDA people and others like Wike and Oshiomole took advantage of LP's lack of agents to rig for Tinubu. It is obvious that Obi won the election. It's PDPs loss that they couldn't take advantage of his popularity to unsit APC. |

Politics › Re: Now I Know Tinubu's Policies Aren't The Problem - Farooq Kperogi by Igbophobia: 1:21pm On May 03 |
AMINDA: If Nigeria was three regions at amalgamation, why then do you say it's Southern turn instead of coming out bold to say it's the turn of the Southeast. If Nigeria was three regions [at independence] why does it have 36 states now not equally distributed to the three regions? We have no problems with a Southeasterner becoming president but power is not demanded for. You either play the politics like the two other regions are doing to get it or you step aside. Those two regions are not playing politics the one region can play because the two regions' interest is at tangents to the one region's interest. |
