Christianity EtcRe: Is Sin A Spirit, Who Created It? by igbowannabe(m): 8:56am On Dec 20, 2018
Yes, Sin is a spirit! I could elaborate a great deal, but I'll try to simplify things. Read Zechariah, chapter 5. The spirit of Sin is portrayed here in feminine form. In Genesis, Sin is portrayed in masculine form.

Gender aside, both texts paint the picture of a person. A sentient being with it's own thoughts, emotions and power of will.

I do not believe these particular Scriptures are just metaphors. In other verses, Sin is given personal attributes such as that of a ruler whom we are not to submit to... Sin is a principality.

God, Almighty is a warring God who glories in conquest. He creates conditions suitable for flexing his muscles. And this is one reason why he conspired for Sin to exist. God gets glory from its defeat, and the battle itself, was intentional on God's part. Not every church goer would agree with this.

A second purpose for Sin's existence is that God is a lover... and lovers want to be chosen. God arranged for humans to pick their preferences. And he stands beside Sin in front of us like a suitor, saying, "Do you want him? Or do you want me?" He's curious, for lack of a better word.

Even in the Book of Proverbs, Wisdom is personified as a woman, opposite of the Wayward woman (Sin), competing for man's attention. They both cry to man from the high places, trying to out do each other and win hearts. Even bribing us with their gifts.

Next, you asked if Satan was destined to sin, and my answer is that I certainly think so. The Bible says God raised up Pharaoh for the purpose he served, even though it was for evil.

And I believe Pharaoh foreshadowed many things involving Satan, just as the lives of Moses and the Old Testament prophets foreshadowed Jesus.

When God desires to express himself, he provides the opportunity to do so. You can't be a hero when no one is in harm's way. And you can't show yourself strong when there are no obstacles. So God brought evil forth, even if it was done indirectly.

God both forms the light and creates darkness, the Bible says. He's behind both good and evil. All we can hope for is that he will be merciful and save us through Jesus from all "evil" he creates, conspires or sends, including the spirit, Sin.
Christianity EtcRe: Satan And Tumblr.com by igbowannabe(op):
Certainly, I'll explain. Tumblr is a social networking website built over 20 years ago. And it's a place where users are allowed to post pictures, videos, text and audio content in the form of their very own blog.

By the way, a blog is kind of like a diary, only it's published on the web. Whatever you post on it gets displayed in reverse chronological order. On Tumblr, users may like or leave comments on other users' blogs. They may also add another bloggers' post to their own blog, which is an action called "reblogging."

Tumblr used to allow its users to express themselves freely while remaining anonymous. This opened the door for people to post plenty of offensive material that was often racist, sexual and violent in nature.

Among the groups and subcultures you'll find on Tumblr are modern-day Nazi's, erotic artists and perhaps most notably, Satanists and witches.

Due to controversy about child porn (believed to have circulated the site), Tumblr is now banning adult material from its users. The ban begins this month of December 2018. However, policing the website can only do so much.

Even at its best, Tumblr was a distraction from God and every day life for me. Now that I have deleted my user account with them, I can direct my energy towards more productive things. I'm not saying everyone lived and thrived on Tumblr as I had. I'm just speaking for myself.
Christianity EtcSatan And Tumblr.com by igbowannabe(op): 5:08pm On Dec 09, 2018
Does anyone else here blog on Tumblr? I have for several years. Many Christians believe it's a tool that Satan is using to send people to Hell.

Besides worldly distractions and pornography, the site is also full of blasphemy. Not to mention material that I believe is custom made in Hell to disturb each of our minds, respectively.

This morning, as I was half asleep and half awake, I saw many demonic things. One thing, being a blasphemous image of God on his throne. I don't really want to describe it in detail because I'm not trying to promote Satan's ideas.

Then as I logged into Tumblr, I saw something that was unacceptable to the point I finally decided to delete my account.

Between the sight I saw while dreaming, and the post I saw on Tumblr, minutes later, I realized both images undoubtedly came from the same devil.

Being a fairly long term blogger, I found ways to avoid a lot of things I didn't want to see, but I think I should have just ended my membership altogether.

May God forgive me for not having done it, sooner. I'm not suggesting anyone else do the same with their social media memberships, I just know this is what I have to do.

God bless you all and please guard your hearts like Proverbs 4:23 says.
Nairaland GeneralRe: Nigerian Women Vs Ethiopian Women by igbowannabe(m): 10:22pm On Jul 10, 2017
Ethiopian women are not better than Nigerian women. But then again, Nigerian women aren't better than Ethiopian women. It's all in your heads. Preference is due to how you were conditioned to think (perhaps since you were very young). When Whites began to visit particular countries in ancient Africa and Asia, the natives thought they were ugly and no one thought they were attractive. They didn't like their hair, skin color, features or anything else about their physical appearance. But oh how the tables have turned. Your preference of Ethiopians or should I say not-so-Black features, is an artificial construct based on an illusion. Please don't feed more into it. I recommend this enlightening article for anyone who wants to read more on the subject: http://www.colorq.org/articles/article.aspx?d=1999&x=blackwhite

As for the one on this thread who mentioned Semiramis and tried to associate the biblical Virgin Mary with her, you're not giving us legitimate historical facts. The earliest mentions of an alleged Semiramis are fused with mythology, and the notion that she influenced Christian thought was mostly promoted by a Protestant minister (Rev. Alexander Hislop) who was acting out in hostility towards Catholics. Besides basing his research largely on fiction, he goes on to assert that Semiramis was blonde and blue-eyed. Mind you, we're talking about the ancient Middle-East. Yes, Nimrod had a wife, but what you claim about a Semiramis has never been confirmed as real history, no matter how popular it is to those with itching ears. But as for believers, even when real history happens, we know that life, places and events on Earth are often shadows of the unseen world; Gehenna may have been a burning garbage disposal, outside Israel, but it represented a literal place in the spirit realm where rejected souls are disposed of. And likewise, baby Moses escaped a child-murdering pharaoh to foreshadow Jesus' escape from Herod, and so on. So let's not get off-topic with ridiculous fables that float around the internet (like Semi-famous). Or perhaps you can start some kind if religious conspiracy thread, elsewhere.
Christianity EtcRe: Seeing Demons, Angels, Fallen Angels, Spirits.. - Hsp's by igbowannabe(m): 5:09am On Oct 24, 2016
I mostly see spirits as they are symbolized in my dreams. For instance, I struggle with lust so when I reconcile with God after a period of living in sin, I routinely dream of animals leaving my house (and sometimes fleeing it).

Once, I dreamt I was carrying a live owl, as I approached the steps to my house. As I reached the door, the owl began having a fit; flapping its wings, clawing at the wind chimes and ornaments on the door, to keep me from taking it inside, etc. Then finally the thought entered my mind that this was animal cruelty. I decided to set the animal down on the porch and let it choose whether it wanted to come inside or not. That's when I saw the owl roll backwards, off the porch, down the steps, down the walkway and down the hill, away from my house.

Sometimes the animals are frogs, serpents, gators, bats or other creatures (mostly nocturnal it seems). I believe they represent minor demons I'd picked up.
