Even in the family where you are supposed to be loved unconditionally you still have roles to perform which could cost you the family's love and support if you are not performing them. Trump want the production lines back in the states which will boost the US economy once more. He almost succeeded with the tariffs he placed on Chinese goods.
China is not happy to lose its most potent market so also are the elite democrats who own most of the Chinese companies.
