Investment / Re: Looking To Invest In Smart Minds! by igniteconsults: 7:45am On Jul 12, 2019
Some friends of mine are interested in investing in some smart minds from Africa. They are investing about $250,000 in businesses across the continent and they are aiming to becoming the African Sharks... The team comprises of proven successful folks in diaspora who will be able to mentor you through the process and help with connections and exposure. Please make sure you have an international passport as you’ll be meeting up with some of the team members in the London United Kingdom or Washington DC, USA. They will work on your visa and you will cover the flight expenses.

Here are some criteria’s needed to be considered for selection process:

1. Create a pitch of about 5minutes on why you believe they should invest in your idea/ or business

2. Send your pitch through to office@igniteconsults.com and add “5Africa” in the subject line

3. A NDA will be sent through to you to cover some legal aspect on both ends to make sure it your idea and not a stolen idea

4. Winners will be chosen within 90days if rigorous selection process

5. Your pitch are non-proprietary as it might be shared with some other professionals to evaluate its viability and acceptability

6. Winners will be displayed on few news/ social media platforms as a way to better market& test the process and as a way to show our transparency.

NB: please no INBOX messages as that will get you disqualified. Some business ideas will not be considered, I.e., crypto trading, stocks, multi-level marketing and few other ones.

Feel free to share with friends and family. This initiative came up as a way to help African youth to come up with the next billion dollars ideas... Please this is open to only folks living in Africa and are African by decent.

Please note that, I’m not managing the funds and do not have access to it or part of the people that approves it, Good luck!

Celebrities / Re: E-Money Shows Off His 2019 G-wagon Amongst Other Luxurious Cars (Photos) by igniteconsults: 2:55pm On Nov 23, 2018
I used to talk like this when I was much younger years back. How dare you compare MERCEDES with Audi or bmw Grow up, drive one and come back in the future to analyse the difference. Mercedes Benz, old or new are in their own class.... if you wanna do the comparison, compare the S-class with Royles Royles, G- Wagon is meant to be an off-road luxury kind of car....
ChiefAzubuike:
I still don't know why people drive G wagons in Nigeria. Nigerians generally don't know a lot about cars and when they see you with a g wagon, they might not even know its a luxury vehicle because the car looks so ugly, shìt-like and something that came out directly from the 1960's. I'd rather sell it off and get something more charming. The overhype of Benz is just pathetic. You can't even compare Benz to Audi and BMW. Dem no be mates at all.

Travel / Re: Why Does Nigeria Immigration Hire Contractors To Handle Visa Applications? by igniteconsults: 1:17pm On Jul 30, 2017
SirJeffry:
I recently secured a Nigerian visa and I was led to apply through one INNOVATE 1 SERVICES who ended up taking $20 as a processing fee after paying $160 visa fees. At the end of the day, I still paid another $30 processing fee to Nigeria embassy Washington. I'm not much worried about the fees but why establish and fund Nigeria immigration services when they can't take care of their business such as this? I've never heard or seen this practice done in other countries. I don't even want to talk about the shabby Nigeria visa with no passport photograph included, no visa interview, unlike other countries who grill intending travelers at interviews.

Any immigration officer here to clarify these?

I don't think it's a Nigerian immigration problem only. Most Shengen countries and United Kingdom visa application in the U.K. Go through that same process. Try go to China embassy on Massachusetts Avenue in DC and you'll be there for 4-5hrs before been called.

I think getting the visa through the agencies will help augment the inefficiency on the side of the consular. In between check the passport application process, and you'll see they're always late and crappy!

Pls be careful. Not everyone in the State are normal. Think about yourself andthe unborn baby and moreover you don't have a concrete plan. Let me advise you, lodge in an hotel or guest house (Motel 1 etc) close to your delivery date. Call Ambulance and make sure you land in emergency...... But sincerely this is at your own risk and not liable for this statement but my candid advise is to be careful or stay back home. Its cold in December and Chicago is a crazy place. I pray God help you. I live in MD and one other solution if to look for a RCCG Church. Go meet the pastor and explain yourself to them hopefully they'll help. Good luck

In as much many young people wish to grow the economy of the great nation of Nigeria and the continent of Africa, i noticed their are few other countries that are wooing investors, start-up and entrepreneurs with great ideas to their country. One of such nation is Denmark. To every emerging economy their are challenges and obstacles that one must encounter but having properly priorities some of my judgement, i see this great nation is a great place to pitch your tent and try something out. Please put in mind that i'm not an adviser or a consultant and i'm only sharing this to share knowledge and challenge ourselves in achieving PURPOSE.

ENTREPRENEUR VISAS: A COMPARISON OF THE 12 COUNTRIES WHERE ENTREPRENEURS ARE WELCOMED
JULY 24, 2014 JOSEPHINEGOUBE 6 COMMENTS
This 4 more countries have joined the global trend of startup visas this year 2015: France, Denmark, Netherlands and South Korea; and more are to come (Israel and US).

To grow knowledge on these visas, Migreat here compares the start-up visas of 12 countries worldwide and share some insights about the current trends of European Immigration policies for entrepreneurial migrants.

2015 is a good time to be an entrepreneur!

Ireland just reformed their immigration system to lower the minimum funding requirement to apply to the visa, and have passed a law to make it easy to recruit foreign talents for startups (the trusted partner initiative) in hope to better attract global global talent to its tech industry.

Italy and Spain have introduced fast-track visas for innovative startups and entrepreneurs.

Similarly, Denmark and Netherlands have just launched their start-up visas in January 2015. France announced the equivalent of a startup visa with the FrenchTech Ticket – a six-months incubation program in english and in paris for foreign entrepreneurs.

Comparing 12 existing start-up visas

Because the topic of immigration is a complex one, we put all of the information in one giant infographic below.

Startup Visa worldwide by Migreat

If you read the graph above and compare, you will notice interesting things:

The “cheapest” Entrepreneur visa is in Chile where you are not asked to bring investment to the country, quite the opposite: they provide you with funding! This said, it does not mean it is easy to get because you will have to get accepted in the very selective Startup Chile Accelerator.
Only Canada offers a permanent resident visa. All other countries provide only a temporary visa to Entrepreneurs. It positions Canada Entrepreneur visa as the most welcoming. For European countries such as Spain or Italy, the visa is a temporary one but easily renewable.
Funding requirement varies across countries and still some similarities can be exposed:
In most case, applicants accepted in an accelerator recognised by the country state will not need to show funds to apply to the visa.

Exception made of the UK which offers to “lower” the minimum amount of initial investment applicants have to show if they are accepted by one of the UK recognised accelerator.

Overall a general 50K Euros is asked in Europe as proof of funds and it echoes the 50K pounds asked in the UK.

Italy created a complete welcome package along its Italian startup visa: not only it creates a fast track but it provides guidance for foreigners and local contacts to support the growth of the business. Innovative business can benefit from major tax breaks opportunities; and startups are invited to join a supportive local system of incubators. Italy is definitely trying to compete with the UK eco-system and its network of leading accelerators.

Crime / Re: Two Nigerians Killed In South Africa by igniteconsults: 7:25pm On Oct 19, 2016
With respect to the country Mzansi, its brought out the best in me as a Nigerian. But in as much we have bigot in all nations, I've experienced one of the deepest hatred by another black African in South Africa. Just the fact that they hear that you a Nigerian, they label you as either a fraudster or drug dealer. Its might not be everyone that does that but majority of people from the township does that, i.e Alexandria, Marabastad, Mabopani, Shoshanguve, Tembisa etc. I had to call those locations so you know i know the country well. I manage to relocate to the USA now and I know the difference between living as a foreigner in South Africa and a foreigner in America. Racism is everywhere but the one is South Africa is more. I still love South Africa and feel i owe the country alot only if South Africans can be more open minded to foreigners

BUTCHCASSIDY:

Mr Man I think you have better things to do than argue with Nigerians. about which country is better. RSA is RSA,Nigeria is Nigeria. Nigerians will never agree with you no matter what
In spite of the fact that we have more Nigerians migrating over there than southafricans migrating here.
Just you keep quiet and let them exhaust themselves
Crime / Re: Two Nigerians Killed In South Africa by igniteconsults: 6:05pm On Oct 18, 2016
I used to live in South Africa for 8 years and i could relate with Nigerians living in that country. Only 1% of Nigerians living in that country have a job (And i'm ready to dispute that with anyone that says otherwise). Few lecturers, Doctors, Engineers and just came across a friend of mine who started working for a municipality as a lawyer. The only way you could get a legal status is by getting married to a South African. I know many might wanna dispute this by saying what about Student and Work Permits (Self-employed). 75% of this student and work permits holders are either not going to the school they claim they are attending or registered companies they are not making any income from.

Throughout my stay in South Africa, most Nigerians in South Africa are either into internet scam (Yahoo), Drug dealing (AND LET ME SAY THIS, WHY DO SOMETHING YOU CAN'T BE PROUD OF TELLING YOUR CHILDREN/ OR PARENT YOU DOING) and other jobs and i must give this to my Nija people there. I knew many folks who were able to turn the situations of the country into something meaningful by creating their own businesses (hair-dressing Salon, buying and selling gold and jewelries or buying and selling accident cars).

My reason for going into this is because, South Africa is not a country for everyone. There economy is not that buoyant as they claim to the outside world as their unemployment rate is alarming. Illiteracy is much and they have this mind-set of SLAVERY as a country. They believe all Nigerians are fraudsters or Cocaine dealers. MY ADVISE TO MY NIJA BROTHERS AND SISTERS IS PLS IF YOU NOT DOING ANYTHING IN SOUTH AFRICA, COME BACK HOME...... I've been beaten before in a public transport just because i cant speak the language.... I pray may the Almighty God console the families of the dead and may their soul rest in peace

Not here to throw tantrums at anyone, but i'll advise you to always read stuff vevry well before commenting. Thanks for your contributions and i pray one day your name turn from @Badyear to @goodyear. Have a great day and God bless

Great idea. Unfortunately it won't. The back-end process only do some validation of whatever has been submitted in the UI. Its very interesting and this solely came out of years of my personal experience. So excited about this and hoping for my people (African) to embrace this concept as this will really help millions of people with great mind and insight.

I know what it meant to be a black professional or start-up. And i develop this mobile app out of the struggles and pain i went through. Catch a glimpse of what i'm talking about by following us on instagram @zuluc_app

The target audience are basically professionals and business start-ups. Its an app that will interact with these cadre. Let me give an hint out, on that platform, if you have any great idea, you will be able to do crowd-funding for your idea's', ability to IM, do voice/and video calls on that platform, this is just an hint on what the app can do.

Its been registered with the Security and Exchange Commission here in the USA and we've been given the licence to run it as a crowd-funding (i.e. have in mind that the crowd-funding is just one of the functions). When it comes to monetizing the app, i'm not so crazy about that as i'll love to delay my gratification and allow people to benefit more from it. We are in the final stage now and should be rolling it out in Jan/ Feb 2017.

I'm an Analyst, a husband and a Christian. I know there are bunch of people out there that can help push this vision into a reality. I'm not asking for too much from you guys but just to help share the word and push the message across. Thanks and your comments/ suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
