Reports reaching us says, ‘Orente’ crooner, Adekunle Gold, is set to leave his label, YBNL.

Adekunle, whose 2 years contract with record label ends in June, is reportedly leaving to stand instead of renewing the contract.

Recall, Lil Kesh, an ex-signee under the label, left some weeks back after dropping his album Y.A.G.I to start his own label also called Y.A.G.I, which according to him will be managed by YBNL.

According to Thenet, who confirmed the news, Adekunle Gold will be leaving as soon as his contract ends in June and might also be floating his won label.

After his album drops in June, Kunle may leave YBNL to focus on his own label.

A witness in the ongoing trial of a senior lawyer, Joseph Nwobike, provided the details of the corrupt deal between a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) and Justice Mohammed Yunusa.

According to the witness, Oyekunle Aderemi, a compliance officer with Zenith Bank, a debit of N750,000 from Nwobike’s account were transferred in favour of Justice Yunusa on March 19 last year. The money transfer should have influenced the judge to pervert the course of justice.

The official bank documents confirming the transaction were shown in court and admitted as evidence. The documents also revealed debit transactions of N1.5 million made on the same day in four other accounts. Another prosecution witness, Oliver Owaremi, a compliance officer with Access Bank, provided the information on the debit transaction of N300, 000 from the Hawa Ajiya Nigeria Limited company to Mr. Yunusa account on November 28 and 30 last year. Federal High Court Judge, Justice Hyeledzira Ajiya, is belived to be the owner and sole signatory of the company’s account. Justice Adebiyi adjourned the matter to May 12, 26 and 30 for continuation of trial.

Melaye Recall that Mr Nwobike is standing trial on a five-count charge bordering on an attempt to pervert the course of justice and offering gratification to a public official. Another senior lawyer, Rickey Tarfa, who is also accused of making false statements, offering gratification to a public official, refusing to declare his assets was denied application to annul 27 charges brought against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
