Politics / Re: The South-west Will Leave Other Regions Far Behind If Nigeria Separates by IITTA50: 7:09am On Apr 06
The oil discovery is what taking each region down. Before the discovery of oil it has been cocoa and groundnuts and it's time to know that all regions will go back to their roots and business will move as well.. The SW will be the most beneficiary of the whole thing, the south and north are not so allied like the SE and SW. The north will rather do business with the SW than the SE. The SE will rather do business with the SW than the North and this will develop the SW rapidly. There are so many resources than can be gotten in the south west but was not discovering because we're all enjoying the oil money... All regions will do well and that's the solution to Nigeria's problem

You nailed it sir. But let the president also announce the increments of salaries as well so that we'll know what we're going to gain at the end of the month.. do you think it was only the marketers exploting Nigerians? With fuel subsidy removed the politicians also become richer. Corruption at its peak. I can tell you that even if fuel is subsidized the masses will still suffer for it.. The only thing the government is doing for us is the subsidy stuff. Advanced countries pays it as well

The pay back plan is pay your taxes. Border closure is good policy. It will protect Nigerian goods. Personally if I were President, my economic policies would be more draconian. Nigerians don't want to use brains at all yet the world is changing.
There is energy transition. Crude oil will soon be destroyed as the most important global commodity.
There are supply chains issues and post COVID stuff causing global inflation yet all Nigerians can think about is cheap petrol, imported salad and bone straight hair. It is a disgrace
i still can't imagine I'm in the same country with you
Politics / Re: External Reserves Slip By $905.5 Million In June – CBN by IITTA50: 9:18pm On Jul 15, 2021

1. Increasing subsidy payments as it is becoming more expensive to keep fuel at a cheap price with rising oil prices meaning increase in the cost of refining fuel. Then subsidy makes it unprofitable to refine at home because domestic refinreis cannot set their prices and thus cannot make a profit on refining petrol here.

2. Oil has not been as high as we want it . We should have had oil at $133 for a balanced budget not the $80 it is ( breakeven price)

3. Because oil has not been as high as we want it to be we have to borrow to keep our heads above water. Paying back our debts is difficult.

Recall that the oil price has been volatile since 2014. Atimes it has been as low as $24 and as high as $80. Meanwhile our breakeven oil price rose from $122 in 2012 to $139 in 2017.and now $133. When oil is not as high as you need it you take loans to cover the difference
And then you have to pay back the loans.

4. Tax level low. Our tax to gdp ratio is 6.1%. Only 30% of the taxable population pays taxes. As such we are far more dependent on oil for everything (A big reason why NNPC boss Kyari is so insistent on subsidy removal is because it is taking a big bite from government revenues...meaning that government cannot spend money on other things until it has fed the subsidy monster)

5. Corruption and stealing at all levels of government. Inflated claims. Looting..Round tripping. You know the drill.

6. Failure to diversify the economy. Nigeria in particular loses billions to illegal mining. Agriculture is not at the level we need it to be to be a big exporter. And government talks a lot but does nothing. Rice pyramids does not mean that Nigeria has displaced Brazil and Thailand as a major rice producer.

7. Buhari. ( before anyone calls me his supporter which I ain't)

8. Insecurity, boko etc which drives off investors
you sabi this analysis and you no dey central bank, omo na wahala for this country oo. Even if you like be a buharist kilokanmi

Why are Africans overating Israel??

Before Christ, Romans conquered Israel, even during his time, Israel was occupied by the Romans.

At little after Jesus the Jews made the Romans angry and they massacred the jews, drove them away from Israel. for about 2000 years from then, the jews were second class citizens every where they go.

The christians persecuted them for what they did to Chris, the Arabs were flogging their yansh any time they deemed fit. Hitler did his own. Till the Europeans decided to have mercy on them and create a state for them.

The so called 6 day war only succeeded because the Arabs just gained independence and didn't had any air force nor good military. The Europeans trained and gave Isreal weapons, especially their air force.

The only time Israel met a strong force Hizbollah backed by Iran they lost.

Israel look strong around its Arab neighbors, beyond that, its a different game entirely.
You see, the Persians or Iranians (as they are called today) aint arabs, they walk the talk, if u know what I mean...for far too long now, they've been daring Israel to stop barking and attack them as it has been saying it would for God knows how long now.

But nothing has happened, you know why? because Israel dont have the balls to fight a formidable opponent without bigdaddy USA military support. And the support is not forthcoming either, because a war with the Persians is too risky even for the US.

US can not sacrifice the lives of its citizens to go die for your "mighty" Israel over Iran. So the US snubbed Israel and chose to dialogue with the Iranians over their Nuclear program.

The only hands preventing isreal's defeat are those of America, Britain and the western world. If US remove their support, Israel is dead!!

Anybody that really thinks that God loves some other people more than he likes him or that some other people are more of Gods children than him is a sophisticated Akuya!!
you're indeed more than a fool. An armful of isreali army can defeat thousands of your useless soldiers

Politics / Re: Bandits Expose SIM-NIN Linkage Failure, Police Can’t Track Gunmen by IITTA50: 8:14am On Jul 13, 2021
Beancounter93:
Who told you the number the bandits used to call you...was their real number?

Remember the recent kidnap case in Abuja where the kidnappers demanded payment in bitcoin? They traced the number...to a random hawker in one of the markets. When questioned, the guy said one random woman bought his sim. Of course...he could not describe the woman..and he had never met her before in his life...nor did he see her again.

For all we know, them bandits have lots of such numbers...stolen, registered by proxies, or bought...and use their real numbers for non-criminal activities.

Modified

A better alternative would be to track the bandits via triangulation off the nearest mobile antenna.

Also, let's be honest. Our police gets 2 billion dollars to police 200 million people. NYPD of the USA gets 10 billion dollars to police 25 million people. Nigeria needs to change the way we run our economy to earn enough to fund our law enforcement adequately.
did the hawker reported the sim card in a police station? What gave the assurance that the hawker is an ordinary person? Sim-nin can't do anything, that's the whole truth

Well, not surprised. Jack will satisfy his customers!

The problem with twitter Nigeria is...it is dominated by Igbos..and majority of them are sympathisers of evil. Anything to put the country in a bad light is okay by them. In fact, they are the problem of the country.

You know when a lie is often repeated, it becomes believable. So many lies being spread and re-spread on social media by these people just to put the country in flames. Majority of them are jobless and spend their life on social media.

Let me remind these supporters of evil with multiple accounts on nairaland and Twitter that you all have a billion miles of regret to travel

Fvck y'all
just imagine your level of reasoning, you are so foolish bro. Just try to prove you are human not always be proving the worthless almajiri's blood that is running in your veins
Politics / Re: Lai Mohammed Slams Twitter For Deleting Buhari's Tweet by IITTA50: 5:13pm On Jun 02, 2021
LegendHero:
FG have the right to defend themselves just like the citizens themselves reserve the right to report FG.

If I am the president, I won’t also sit back and do nothing when people start killing my policemen, burn federal institutions, and kill soldiers. No president, even in the USA will sit by and watch but since we are in Nigeria, anything goes for clout.

However, Buhari Tweet too is not that needed using that kind of language especially when the atmosphere is still tense for Biafra remembrance day.

So Twitter is Justified for deleting Buhari Tweet but that shouldn’t stop Buhari from defending his security forces and restoring normalcy. He should just extend the same to the bandits and herdsmen wreaking havoc.

OBJ ordered shoot at sight on OPC then even when they were his fellow Yorubas. So Buhari should do same on Fulani herdsmen, bandits, and Unknown gunmen too.
i don't know if you could still remember this president you're talking about back then in 2011 when jonathan is battling boko haram in the north, BUHARI said and i quote "An attack on Boko Haram is an attack on the North". Maybe now, an attack on IPOB is an attack on the south east
