When I read this story earlier, I just read, waka, pass. But it has been on my mind to write this down for the benefit of others to learn and even for Papa Ajasco himself if he gets to see it. Also to kind of go down the history lane a bit for the gen Zs who don't know how big deal our movie industry has always been and the pioneers. I responded there but decided to throw it here because I'm sure it will likely go unnoticed there
something is wrong somewhere, one or a combination of the following maybe:
1. You are not smart sir, and you don't know how to market yourself properly you are just blaming the available person to blame 2. You don't have children or any relative who is smart 3. You can't spare small cash to hire a good lawyer or get yourself registered in a reputable marketing agency 4. And so on...
Why the above? What is stopping you to patent your own name very close and similar to that in a way people will hardly notice the difference even though it is legally different? something like Baba Ajasco, Papa Ajasc, Pa Ajasco, etc.. you get the drift. In your costume, remove something from there or add something to it. e.g instead of the long tie, use short but big tie, instead of normal shirt use a T-shirt, etc... you get the drift.
Trust and betrayal goes both ways, the same way you are being betrayed as an artist is the same way artists too betray and exploit their employers. Those familiar with Yoruba movies (those old enough to know the pioneers grin) will remember Adisa and Baba Sala, and the most obvious and major one that became a court matter; Aworo and Fadeyi- when Fadeyi left as a result of disagreement with his employer (Aworo) before the production of the Blockbuster series "Arelu" using court he barred his employer from using the name Fadeyi anymore as it was his family name which he adopted for stage play and no one has right to use it for such play. Somehow, somehow, he won but Aworo brought out a jocker and created "Fadeyi Oloro" (the actor happened to be a very young man that had fallen in love with the character on stage for a long time and has been watching him a long time). The rest is history, with his performance in the very first episode of "Arelu" the name Fadeyi was sent into the dust bin and nobody knows about the existence of that name again, Fadeyi oloro became the most loved and most hated villain of all time in Nigeria history till date.
With all the above being said, I know a bit about WAP and I can tell you for free that there is no single character in the Papa Ajasco and company that is a brand that can stand alone. Be it Boy Alinco, Miss Peipeiye, Pa James etc. Together they are a powerful brand but individually, they can't get any deal. What you should have done, if wise, was to use the fame then to diversify either in the same movie industry but a different character or something totally out of the industry. Have you wondered how Pa James who was the supporting star in the group was able to break out, carved out another name (Ajirebi) for himself and featured in numerous roles outside Pa James.
A word of advice though, it is never too late you can still do something at least that will last you the rest of your days and you will be comfortable. If you don't have ideas, there are people out there that do (like yours sincerely shocked). not looking for pity or something.
Who remembers Fatai rolling dollar "won kere si number wa"
Ironfaceman: This is what seasoned Christians call voice of the grave. One obstacle and you fall flat not wanting to get up.
We are living in a spiritual world, the Fools does not know this, only the prudent and the evil ones knows this.
Some think being a Christian is just about singing praise and worship or going to church in a beautiful dress. To be a Christian you most be ready to put on the whole armor of God.
Disappointment will always come in life but its your fortitude that will determine your direction.
When you fail to plan then you plan to fail. About 80% of any successful endeavor goes into planing while the smaller percentage goes into the action itself.
Basicend: US must change their approach b4 fighting another serious war. Conventional war pattern has changed.
They must quickly focus on producing mass cheap war weapons. Like cheap drones and interceptors, more advanced laser detectors, more ICBM and hypersonic missiles.
The Chinese, Iranian, Russians etc have built many cheaper and effective weapons.
If this war stretches to 3 more weeks or more, they will be waisting more than $3 trillion to sustain it.
Their 3 aircraft carriers in the sea can be destroyed in this war if care is not taken. They are just lucky that swarm drones and very fast Chinese anti ship missiles have not yet been launched at them.
Once strategic aim has been achieved, Trump needs to pull out of the war otherwise things will become more uncontrollable.
hmmm, @swarm drones The latest in AI, The LLM enhanced drone swarm has gone beyond research and testing. The power of GenAI, you shoot one down the others regroup and adapt to the situation to complete the mission. Scary part, GPS not even needed (forget about jamming), it makes use of Vision based Navigation (V-SLAM)

Benin City? I'm sure the parents of that poor boy knows what to do. That boy needs to be sent to a boarding school outside the state if they don't have any relative outside he can stay with. If you don't gerrint then forgerrint
“Normally, we would not dignify Bwala’s baseless accusations with a reply, given his well-documented history of dishonesty. However, we feel it is necessary to address this matter for the benefit of the public, who may be misled,” the statement read.
This is brutal men!
“Obi has made it clear that he excludes individuals like Bwala from his political activities and any form of transactional politics that sustain people like him in political circles. He would rather allocate resources to provide desks for children in Bwala’s village than pay him to concoct falsehoods for public consumption,”
AMINDA: He who has to say he's king is no king. The snake oil that was sold to Nigerians as democracy fighters have been unravelled. You have long proven to be worse than Abacha. State of emergency in Rivers, coercing all governors to decamp to APC, destroying all opposition parties, unilaterally detaining influential opposition figures like Elrufai without charge, changing and amending electoral laws through captured National Assembly to sabotage other political parties, etc. This is Paul Biya and President Talon in the making.
EndBuhariNow: Why this particular tribe like this.. id you dire speak up about something bad they will shut U up even as they are also in exclusive pain of bad government.. wait till their brother finish and go, you will see they can wail more than any other people.. hypocrites
Here we go again, the tribal angle. Did you notice the man that threatened her is from your tribe?
fuckingAyaya: I thought their navy were gonna face US. Navy man to man on water, never knew they would resort to Guerilla warfare by planting mines inside the water. Cowards!!
Okay, so now you are going to teach your enemies how to fight you? Why can't your people too carry sword and go put booth on ground in Iran, or are they cowards too?

They were not angels, and so yes, there were issues here and there. However, those issues were not serious. I am shocked by this," his father said.
"The family said they were heartbroken by the news, adding that they did not think Mburu, whom they described as a calm person, could do such a thing.
Last photos of KDF soldier and his wife Details shared indicate that on Friday, March 6, a day before their d8aths, the couple had a romantic photoshoot, during which they displayed their love for each other.

amoreobansu: A list of 41 beneficiaries was submitted from our ward. For Ward 004 Abdulkadir Mai Tabarma, the items received are:
2 bags of rice 2 bowls of beans 3 packs of spaghetti
Because the items are limited compared to the number of beneficiaries, we have agreed to share them in the following way so that everyone can at least get something and avoid complaints.
For the rice, some people will receive one bowl, some will receive half a bowl, and some may receive the equivalent of six Peak milk–size measures.
For the beans, we plan to distribute one Peak milk–size measure per person, although it may not reach everyone.
The spaghetti is only three packs, so if we divide it carefully, some people may get two or three strands/pieces, by the grace of God.
This is the total assistance sent for the two polling units, and this is how we intend to distribute it fairly. We do not know whether it came directly from the Senator or through his representatives, but we pray that Almighty God blesses it.
Our main concern as leaders is how to distribute three packs of spaghetti among 41 people, but we will try our best to do it peacefully and fairly.
This message is for the people of Ward 004 – Abdulkadir Mai Tabarma. May God help us to share it in peace and may He see us through.
givedemwotowoto: Some people will now use this as excuse of why Nigerians should pay higher price for Petrol because of the war in Iran.
An ignorant man is a finished man. “My people perish because of ignorance”.
Canada: Half of Canada’s crude oil is exported abroad for refining. It is sold internationally at the prevailing market price, so they will buy the refined crude higher, so people paying higher at the pump is understandable.
Nigeria: 100% of Nigeria’s crude meant for local consumption can be refined within the country. Nigeria produces about 1.6 million barrels of crude daily. Out of that, Nigeria owns about 900,000 barrels which cost them little to nothing because it’s the oil companies who pay for crude extraction, and 40% of the oil is theirs as compensation which they can do with whatever they want.
Out of that 900,000 barrels belonging to Nigeria, Nigerians consume only about 300,000 barrels daily. This means Nigeria can sell 300,000 barrels of crude to them at the budget benchmark price of $50, while still selling the remaining 600,000+ barrels at the international market at the prevailing international price.
But because some Nigerians have chosen to not ask questions, just accept whatever they’re given, politicians will continue to play games with everyone.
Even the so-called opposition politicians come de vex me, because they have failed to utilize opportunities like this to call a press conference, explain this Math simply to Nigerians to show them how their government is ripping them off. They have failed to put this government on their toes.
