Chei! I didn't think it would be this long

So here it is. This is inspired by the work of one of my favourite writers here

SWEET DEATH

If life was music
Then death would be silence
But what would sleeping be?
Hurting was not meant to be
But also was this hurting in my heart right now
This pain behind my eyes
And this heaviness in my brain

Life could be music
But death cannot be silence
Because if death was,
How can I explain this ringing in my head
How can I explain the pounding heartbeat
Because the absence of you is death
In you my life is hidden

If death is not silent
That would make sleeping the presence of sound
But if sleeping is the presence of sound
Why do you sleep so quitely
Oblivious to my pain
Impervious to my charm
And my crying, the music of my life

But if life was music
Then sleep has to be silence
Because I can't hear you
And you are deaf to my pain
I can only feel you sliping away
Away into some dark place

If life were music
And death were silence
Then sleeping has to be both
Because in sleep, there is life and death
There is silence and noise
Pain and happiness
Life and death

So wake from your sleep my angel
Don't slip away into the shadow
Bring back the light of my life
Play the music of life
And let death be the peace of the night
Let us sleep together
And have the beauty of life and death
