i feel your pain sister. this year is the first year that i have spent christmas away from home, and not only do i feel lonely, but i hate this cold weather in new york. normally my roomate is here and i have someone to socialize with, but he left last week to spend his holidays with his family. however, i have friends who invited me to a christmas party and i am planning on going in about an hour. i would have went earlier, but someone told me it was rude to go to a christmas party without bringing something, so i had to rush and find someone who can make me a tray of jollof rice to bring. the very sweet lady who is making it is only charging me a small amount, and it will be ready soon.

please cheer up and if you cannot find someone to spend the day with, try to find a good movie and make the best out of it. merry christmas.

lucky you. i would do almost anything to hang out tonight. lol. i intend going to the cinemas tomorrow to watch a movie. but the thought of going to a cinema all alone sounds very weird

i have few female friends but they are all with their boyfriends or spending time with their family. i will start accepting invitations now.

How I wish I can help out situation 

thank you. i will try to mix with more with church members. Just that i am the 'mind-your-business'' kind of person. I do not dig the idea of over-familiarity especially in places of worship. I believe in going to church, i pray to my God, say grace and come back at home. That was my style back in naija. Anyway, i will try and change.

clubbing and house parties . . . i will do more of that next year. I am always fond of refusing invitations or cancelling at the last minute, so peeps dont bother inviting me again. All that will change. I was not missing much back then since i was either with my ex or on the phone with him for long hours. So now that its over, it seems am now in a world of my own Anyway, i will change.

You , we have yorubas in the republic of Benin and Nigeria. While the Yorubas in Nigeria live poor and what they do is become struggler and go an struggle use clothes from Benin republic. Have you ever seen a Yorubaman from benin republic come to Nigeria to struggle used clothes.  NEVER. Satellie pictures shows thier are doing better.

The only people doing well in Nigeria are northerners. Their houses are new and good road network. Oil reserve tank all over the north.

i am from one of the ijebu towns. the last time i went to visit my relatives, i was disappointed. the roads are terrible.
