as a web designer, I learned that jobs don't come everyday, in fact web designers count about 2 or 3 clients per month as good sales.

No matter how many web designers are out there, there are clients always searching for us.

the number one thing you hear is "please be honest with me...".
they have no idea who you are, therefore they ask sometimes unnecessary questions, just to get to know the type of person you are.

now I said it in one of my last posts, having lots of previous jobs isn't enough to get you new clients, your current relationship with the new client does the job.
the truth is nobody trusts anybody no matter the proofs you present them.

To get new clients everyday;
- you must present yourself everyday online as the one interest clients are looking for.

- your goal should never be to beat your fellow web designer, but to bring the best of your creative skills to your clients. that way your job does the talking.

-be diplomatic, always try to negotiate. the worst thing you would want to do is just take 'no' from the client. learn to negotiate, it always works.

- "I don't care what people say about me", but the truth is, it is important, when people begin talking or having impressions that you have a funny way of working, 'even the little you have would be taken from you'.

Some people say there's nothing new under the sun, everything you see now has been before. people find it difficult to go into business simply because it seems like everybody is sardined into all the business ideas you can think of.

before you check for a good web designer try to observe his character and really point out his aim when discussing on a project.

if his aim is just to collect your money, try to be careful or look elsewhere.
you need a web designer who is interested in your personal business, not just trying to speed things up to get your money.

P.S: don't be moved by the number of jobs he/she has done, if he/she is really good, he won't post a hundred of them.

How you recognize them is,
1. they always ask for the idea behind your business.
2. they review your ideas and must give your places where you must improve.
3. they do more than you ask for.
4. they are not so hesitant to quickly get their money.
5. even after the job done and money paid, if the client makes an error in the website, they volunteer to modify.

Don't just believe a web designer that shows you his portfolio of many works, if I were you I would look into one of those websites and find out if that web is doing any good to that business.

I'm guessing you're a woman too, so you'll relate when I'm talking about acting on emotions.
if you remember in that movie, she didn't just act out in a day, she had waited for more than 10 years for her husband to make it, only to give up when it was all good.

if you ask my opinion, I say I blame the husband, for him to quickly throw the ball to another woman shows he didn't appreciate the sacrifices she made for all those years. she deserved a little time to take it in first before he made that heart breaking decision.
