Find the uplifting message below.... "Happy birthday to me…. It’s been an emotional year for me and also an amazing one too…They say that you never know the exact minute your life has changed; that circumstances and situations happen and one day you wake up and you just feel differently. I’m so thankful to God for that which was taken away has been replaced, my ‘good’ plan replaced with God’s ‘best’ plan for me! And in all things I know there’s indeed the almighty one who is always there for me despite how hard things may get and loves me unconditionally so I say to him, thank you Lord, much gratitude! NOTE to self today…Dear self, enjoy each day that you are given, sometimes a pause or restart is necessary, it might be hard but don’t ever feel guilty about changing for the better, keep in mind your light may not warm everyone’s soul and it may leave some blinded by your truth.Happiness isn’t getting all you want,it’s enjoying all you have, start every day with a new hope, leave bad memories behind, speak positivity into your life, speak your joy into existence. Have faith for a better tomorrow and keep your light bright. Remain unstoppable. Cheers to another year.Seriously when I look back from where I started I can only conclude that MY LIFE has been a definition of God’s grace #appreciation #gratitude #thanksgiving #birthdaybehavior #happybirthdaytome". According to a statement released yesterday 27th Dec on the official website of the Nigerian Army, the military accused Sahara Reporters of being the media arm for terrorism & Boko Haram in Nigeria. Read the statement below... "The attention of the Nigerian Army has been drawn to a publication on the website of Sahara Reporters with the caption “Nigerian Army Presents Unverified “Lt Col” To Refute Petition Against Military Hierarchy”. It is noteworthy but sad and unfortunate that Sahara Reporters has committed itself to support for terrorism and fighting Nigeria, its people, its military and particularly the Nigerian Army.” "Before Sahara Reporters published their purported document described as petition from Lt Col Wende, a serving Commanding Officer, the Nigerian Army conducted a thorough investigation on the document involving other security and intelligence agencies. The process confirmed that the serving officer was not the author of the petition. Yesterday, the officer dissociated himself from the so- called petition in a press conference he personally attended. While reputable media organizations were on hand to engage the officer, Sahara Reporters being a faceless medium, preferred to remain faceless and was not represented. Sahara Reporters sadly, but predictably, and in fulfilment of its support for terrorism published in its website a fabrication in which it referred to the officer as “unverified”. How absurd!" "Sahara Reporters has strived hard to present itself as a propaganda medium for terrorism and Boko Haram in particular. It is with this in mind, that the Nigerian Army conducted a press conference in Maiduguri in which the officer who appeared for the press conference is Lt Col Wende, a serving officer of the Nigerian Army. Since the officer has clearly dissociated himself from the document, it makes sense that the so-called petition is the handiwork of Sahara Reporters. With time, terrorism in Nigeria and Sahara Reporters will be defeated by the collective will of the good people of Nigeria." A former Minister of Foreign Affairs, Prof. Bolaji Akinyemi, on Sunday asked President Goodluck Jonathan and the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.) to sign a Memorandum of Undertaking that will commit them to control their supporters against violence after the 2015 general elections. Akinyemi, in an open letter to President Jonathan and Buhari, warned that the 2015 elections would be worse than that of 2011 because “the illegal massive importation of weapons into the country has reached an alarming rate.” He said, “The first step is for the two presidential aspirants to sign a MoU that will commit both to a civil and peaceful campaign, devoid of threats and a commitment to preach peaceful elections to their supporters. “The certainty of violence after the 2015 elections is higher that it was in 2011. If President Jonathan wins, the North would erupt into violence as it did in 2011. If Buhari wins, the Niger Delta will erupt into violence. I don’t believe we need rocket science to make this prediction.” The former minister said the prediction from the “United States of America’s semi-official sources that the world is expecting a cataclysmic meltdown of Nigeria nation come 2015” should be taken seriously. According to him, supporters of whoever loses should be entitled to peaceful protests but not violent protests. He also called on the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar; the Emir of Kano, Alhaji Lamido Sanusi; the Ooni of Ife, Oba Okunade Sijuwade and a former Head of State, General Yakubu Gowon (retd.) to facilitate a pre-election meeting between Jonathan and Buhari and to assist in managing the post-election conflicts. He recalled that prior to the 2011 elections; his advice on the management of post-election violence was not heeded. “Now, we are back at the same crossroads, except that this time is more precarious and dangerous than the last time. There are states and movements out there, African and non-African which do not mean well for Nigeria and who wish Nigeria dissolve into a theater of bloodshed, gore and instability. They will succeed if we continue the politics of making enemies of ourselves and friends of our enemies,” he said. http://www.punchng.com/politics/2015-akinyemi-warns-jonathan-buhari-against-violence/

Why is everybody wrong blaming President GEJ. Read this article written by Mr. Etcetera... I think I am the most criticised President in the whole world, but I want to tell this audience that before I leave, I will be the most praised President,” said President Goodluck Jonathan at the opening of the 52nd Annual General Meeting of the Nigerian Bar Association at the International Conference Centre in Abuja. Hey guys, I guess you know that pointing fingers is not my style, hahaha, just as I know that it will be difficult to find a single Nigerian who hasn’t pointed fingers at President Goodluck Jonathan since he became President. But really, can so many fingers be pointed at a single individual all at the same time? Some people have gone to the extent of saying that since Jonathan took office, everything has gone to hell in a handbasket. Others have held him responsible for everything that has gone wrong in the country, from the tear in their pants to the economy. Trust me:Nigerians are beginning to agree that when it comes to assigning blame, look to Jonathan first. There are some hardliners who don’t care if Jonathan wasn’t President during the civil war. He must have been thinking about it, and that’s good enough reason for them. They even say that if he hadn’t been sticking his nose into government, the civil war wouldn’t have happened. Funny, Nigerians have found the perfect target for dealing with their bad days. Late to work? Blame Jonathan! Did the soup in the fridge melt when you weren’t looking? It’s Goodluck Jonathan. Can’t find your smelling socks? Jonathan! Your baby pees on the chair, again? Jonathan. The possibilities are endless! Hey, are we not just being unfair to Goodluck Jonathan? We blame him for all and everything. Even for things that are not his fault. Let me ask you something sir or madam, if Jonathan is to blame for everything wrong in Nigeria today, what becomes of the previous presidents under whose regimes most of these problems started? On Tuesday evening on my way back from NTA, I stopped at the Bar Beach to buy suya. I was a little bit early because I met the aboki lighting his charcoal. As I waited, I saw two weird looking rastas looking like archangels Michael and Gabriel in their white Cele garments walk down to just about five yards from the water, raised their holy robes in unison like atilogwu dancers trying to master a new dance routine and bent down and began to defecate. Couples of minutes later, I heard them walking back complaining of how dirty and smelly the beach had become from what it used to be. As they passed by me, the taller one said “omo naija, presido no dey try at all. See as this place don yamayama finish, dem no dey see as those oyinbo beach be for inside film wey we dey watch?” At that point, I couldn’t hold back my anger. I just had to say something: “Shebi na una just shit finish for that place so? And una get mouth dey blame the president. Una see him shit for there?”We are having a distant relationship with the truth in this country. We have developed that rare ability to be hypocritical and not so much as give a damn whether we are equally guilty of the things we are blaming on others. In truth, Goodluck Jonathan should roll up his sleeves, spit on his palms and get to work on a lot of things. We keep saying that corruption escalated under his regime but why do we keep failing to associate it with the fact that these corrupt individuals are Nigerians? I listened to some custom officers saying that If it wasn’t for Goodluck Jonathan’s backward policies, everything at the Nigerian borders would be perfect. Yes, let us keep dumping everything on Goodluck Jonathan. Even our own responsibilities as citizens. He’s the reason our custom and police officers are more interested in collecting bribes than fighting crime and checking for contraband goods coming into the country. It is also Jonathan’s fault that the security operatives at the Lagos airport have all turned beggars. Should the president also take the rap for the Director-General of the Standards Organisation of Nigeria not being able to see that the nation is littered with fake products? urself where your governor got the billions he spends on frivolities? People in the rural areas of Akwa Ibom state are living in thatched houses and we are building another stadium? Have you tried asking what the Abia State Government did with the state’s allocation for eight years? Do you think President Jonathan will be allowed a minute of sleep if he failed to remit monies due to the states? So why then do we pour all the blames on him? Your governor owns empty estates in Dubai and factories in South Africa when people of their states are homeless and jobless, is that Jonathan’s fault too? Where did we get the preposterous notion that President Jonathan took office and people started having trouble finding jobs? Did we have a zero unemployment rate in the country before President Jonathan?
