PoliticsRe: Peter Obi Not Fit To Be President In 2027, Not Yet His Time — Dino Melaye by IkeOnyia: 10:42pm On Mar 12
Cyberterror:
The agulu fraudster is stranded. The new electoral act bars him from running away from ADC after Atiku must have defeated him in the primaries. Now he will have to bow to Atiku and beg to be considered for VP.
Atiku will not accept him after remembering how Obi maligned him in 2022 by calling Atiku and his supporters the structure of criminality.
Foreign AffairsRe: Piers Morgan Asks Mehdi Hassan If He’s Happy Ali Khamenei No Longer Ruling Iran by IkeOnyia: 10:02pm On Mar 12
You can tell that Mehdi Hassan is not happy that Khamenei is dead but he doesn't know how to say No without looking like a hypocrite especially as the former Iranian leader oversaw the brutal killing of his own people.
PoliticsRe: Defence Minister Summons Service Chiefs Over Rising Attacks by IkeOnyia: 12:33pm On Mar 11
The chief of army staff is very incompetent. He is more interested in rehabilitating repentant terrorists than killing them but when the terrorists catch his soldiers, they show no mercy. This is why it is dangerous to have terrorists sympathizers heading our security forces.
PoliticsRe: Daylight Robbery In Minna, Victim Fights Back (Victims) by IkeOnyia: 12:08pm On Mar 07
This is one of many reasons why state police is necessary. The federal police are only interested in standing on federal highways to intimidate commercial vehicle owners and collect bribes from them at gun point.
PoliticsRe: Is Hope Uzodimma The Best Governor In The South East? by IkeOnyia: 10:20am On Mar 06
Unintendedly, those pictures show a lack of urban planning. Soon those haphazardly built houses will grow into a slum.
PoliticsRe: Cooking Gas Prices Rise As Petrol Hike Bites Harder by IkeOnyia: 11:47am On Mar 05
Iran is the cause. Nigerians know how to cope with all kinds of inconveniences. This storm too will pass.
PoliticsRe: We Are Not Afraid Of State Police – Disu by IkeOnyia: 9:14am On Mar 05
Please the state police should be quickly created. A lot of states are unsafe because the federal police and army are just focused on collecting bribes from motorists. That patriotic zeal to protect their people from criminals and terrorists is not there because they are not indigenous to the states they operate in.
Foreign AffairsRe: Burkina Faso Signals Military Support For Iran Amid Rising Global Tensions by IkeOnyia: 8:43am On Mar 05
Burkina Faso will not mind their business now and focus on how to improve their goats, sheep and corn exports that earn them foreign exchange.

pinkguy:
Because state police will prevent terrorist movement to south of country , please don't forget they already have their state police (sharia police) but the don't want Christian state should have their own Police
This is not true. Northern Governors forum have long endorsed state police. The Nigerian Governors Forum have given go-ahead for state police. The delay is coming from President Tinubu. He is the one playing games.
PoliticsRe: Major, 3 Soldiers, Hunter Killed In Borno by IkeOnyia: 8:47am On Mar 03
The Nigerian army have long been known to be cowards. They are only brave when they face civilians protesting peacefully but when they meet Boko Haram and fulani herdsmen, they pull off their uniforms and run away.
PoliticsRe: 2027 Polls Won’t Be 100% Perfect, INEC Chairman Warns by IkeOnyia: 6:49am On Mar 02
If our dear President Donald J Trump of America can cry out to the world that his country's elections are rigged, only an insincere person expects Nigeria's elections to be 100% clean. What America haven't been able to do in 250 years of uninterrupted democracy, is what some people want Nigeria to perfect in 27 years of democracy.

See the post I made last month warning Tinubu that his NSA is sympathetic to and probably aiding these terrorists

PoliticsRe: There Are Terrorists In Nigeria Who Want Peace - NSA Nuhu Ribadu by IkeOnyia: 3:15pm On Mar 01
Just because they are Fulani, they are now your brothers. Did you take into account the countless lives including little children that they have taken? Who gives them justice? When you have an NSA who is sympathetic to terrorists rather than their victims, it is easy to know why the cycle of violence never stops in the country.
PoliticsRe: We Will Hasten The Process For Creation Of State Police, Senate Assures by IkeOnyia(op): 10:05am On Mar 01
richiemcgold:
There's should be no room again for any dillydally. State police is a must. We already have similar agencies that can be used by the lawmakers to evaluate possible negatives. Their job is to create specific laws to abate them. State security agency like Amotekun is a very good benchmark. They understand the local terrains better and have worked together with army and police on many successful operations. Laws don't allow them to carry sophisticated weapons and they are not allowed to intervene in any election. A replica of this nationwide should be a good way to go.
State police understand their area of coverage better because they will be indigenous to the area. State police will really solve a lot of the security challenges in the country as their level of passion and commitment will be far greater than a police force headed and staffed by outsiders whose only motivation is to get postings to states where bribe taking is easy.

State Police: Senate to accelerate constitution amendment as Tinubu pushes reform

• NASS, Governors, State Assemblies Align On Proposal
• Stakeholders Differ, Proffer Pathways To Better Policing System
• State Police Achievable, Afenifere, Yoruba Leaders Of Thought Insist

The Senate has signalled its readiness to fast-track the amendment of the 1999 Constitution to accommodate the establishment of state police, declaring that the renewed push by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the reform has further strengthened lawmakers’ resolve to conclude the process within weeks.

In an exclusive telephone interview with The Guardian, the Chairman, Senate Committee on Media and Public Affairs, Yemi Adaramodu, said the President’s call was receiving accelerated legislative attention, adding that near unanimity has already been achieved among federal lawmakers on the contentious reform.
According to Adaramodu, the National Assembly had made significant progress on the constitution review process even before the President’s public appeal.

“President Tinubu’s appeal on state police is being taken seriously by the National Assembly,” he said. “Even before Mr. President spoke, we had achieved near unanimity on the issue, among other items listed for amendment in the Constitution.

“Our case is being aided by agreements among many strata of leadership in Nigeria, including the Nigeria Governors’ Forum, the state Houses of Assembly and traditional rulers. So, it will not take us much longer to conclude the processes and pass the constitution amendments

Foreign AffairsRe: Lucky Soul, He Died In Jihad’ – Sheikh Gumi Reacts To Ali Khamenei’s Death by IkeOnyia: 8:25am On Mar 01
Now that President Donald Trump is done with the terrorists in Iran, he should please turn his full attention to the Fulani islamists carrying out genocide against Christians in Nigeria including their leadership like the Sultan, Sheikh Gumi and Sheikh Jingir.
PoliticsRe: When 7% Turns Out In FCT, Celebration Is Premature — Showunmi by IkeOnyia: 5:20am On Feb 28
What Mr Showumi doesn't know is that in Nigeria, victories tend to encourage supporters of the winning party for future elections while defeat demolarises supporters of the losing side. It will get worse for ADC in 2027.
PoliticsRe: Mr President & Nat. Assembly, push for REGIONAL POLICE instead of State Police by IkeOnyia: 4:20am On Feb 28
bentenny:
State policing is better if proper clauses are properly and unambiguously inputted to prevent interference from political office holders and ensure effective policing!
There can be collaboration between states in terms of intelligence sharing..however,states should operate their own security as every state possess it's peculiarity!
Which clauses are in place to prevent the current federal police from political interference? The President appoints the IGP and can fire him/her at will. Where in the world is the police independent of the executive arm of government? The need for State police in Nigeria is now critical and urgent. No further delay is required.
PoliticsRe: No Foreign Power Can Force Muslims To Drop Shariah — Shariah Council To USA by IkeOnyia: 9:26am On Feb 27
Liars. So why is there no Sharia in Turkey, Azerbaijan, Kosovo, Kazakhstan all muslim countries? Sharia is an extremist violent interpretation of Islam, that is why sane muslims don't practice it.

PoliticsRe: Muslim Youth Threatens Doma Chairman Over Blasphemy, Christian Youth Reacts by IkeOnyia: 12:45pm On Feb 26
But he is not a Muslim so how can you accuse him of blasphemy? Can we say then that all muslims who say that Jesus Christ is not the Son of God but a mere prophet can be accused of blasphemy and threatened to be killed the way muslims always react when Christians say anything they don't like about their prophet? You see why genocide against Christians in Nigeria is real and why the US government is insisting that Sharia and all anti-blasphemy laws must be abolished to stop the ongoing genocide against Christians.

States wey never fit pay workers salaries na how dem wan pay state policemen?
State police is for states that can afford it. Those that cannot, will have to make do with the federal police already in place. That's what true federalism entails.

PoliticsRe: 2027: Makinde, Kwankwaso Hold Closed-door Meeting In Ibadan by IkeOnyia: 3:03pm On Feb 25
Kwankwaso is already designated as a state sponsor of terror and about to be sanctioned by the United States of America. He has nothing more to offer apart from Sharia and persecution of Christians in Nigeria.

PoliticsRe: Jonathan Burke In Abuja As FG, Sources Bicker Over Ransom Payment by IkeOnyia: 12:23pm On Feb 24
Nigeria's federal and northern state governments keep paying these bandits billions of naira which are then used to buy more guns and equipment for them to continue terrorizing Christians yet same government will claim that there is no state-sponsored genocide against Christians in Nigeria.
PoliticsRe: 7 Reasons Sharia Won't Work In Yorubaland — Facts The Sultan Of Sokoto Doesn't K by IkeOnyia: 10:19am On Feb 24
The US should include the Sultan of Sokoto in its sanctions list. It is evident he has a hand in the killings being carried out by Fulani islamists. Just a few months ago, he said nobody owns land in the country, that land belongs to God, so people should stop telling trespassing fulani herders to leave their land. It was quite irritating to listen to that.
