Cyberterror:Atiku will not accept him after remembering how Obi maligned him in 2022 by calling Atiku and his supporters the structure of criminality. |
You can tell that Mehdi Hassan is not happy that Khamenei is dead but he doesn't know how to say No without looking like a hypocrite especially as the former Iranian leader oversaw the brutal killing of his own people. |
The chief of army staff is very incompetent. He is more interested in rehabilitating repentant terrorists than killing them but when the terrorists catch his soldiers, they show no mercy. This is why it is dangerous to have terrorists sympathizers heading our security forces. |
This is one of many reasons why state police is necessary. The federal police are only interested in standing on federal highways to intimidate commercial vehicle owners and collect bribes from them at gun point. |
Unintendedly, those pictures show a lack of urban planning. Soon those haphazardly built houses will grow into a slum. |
Iran is the cause. Nigerians know how to cope with all kinds of inconveniences. This storm too will pass. |
Please the state police should be quickly created. A lot of states are unsafe because the federal police and army are just focused on collecting bribes from motorists. That patriotic zeal to protect their people from criminals and terrorists is not there because they are not indigenous to the states they operate in. |
Burkina Faso will not mind their business now and focus on how to improve their goats, sheep and corn exports that earn them foreign exchange. |
pinkguy:This is not true. Northern Governors forum have long endorsed state police. The Nigerian Governors Forum have given go-ahead for state police. The delay is coming from President Tinubu. He is the one playing games. |
The Nigerian army have long been known to be cowards. They are only brave when they face civilians protesting peacefully but when they meet Boko Haram and fulani herdsmen, they pull off their uniforms and run away. |
If our dear President Donald J Trump of America can cry out to the world that his country's elections are rigged, only an insincere person expects Nigeria's elections to be 100% clean. What America haven't been able to do in 250 years of uninterrupted democracy, is what some people want Nigeria to perfect in 27 years of democracy. |
See the post I made last month warning Tinubu that his NSA is sympathetic to and probably aiding these terrorists https://www.nairaland.com/8603058/usa-should-declare-fulani-tribe#138205049 |
Just because they are Fulani, they are now your brothers. Did you take into account the countless lives including little children that they have taken? Who gives them justice? When you have an NSA who is sympathetic to terrorists rather than their victims, it is easy to know why the cycle of violence never stops in the country. |
richiemcgold:State police understand their area of coverage better because they will be indigenous to the area. State police will really solve a lot of the security challenges in the country as their level of passion and commitment will be far greater than a police force headed and staffed by outsiders whose only motivation is to get postings to states where bribe taking is easy. |
Mods, this is front page worthy. |
State Police: Senate to accelerate constitution amendment as Tinubu pushes reform • NASS, Governors, State Assemblies Align On Proposal • Stakeholders Differ, Proffer Pathways To Better Policing System • State Police Achievable, Afenifere, Yoruba Leaders Of Thought Insist The Senate has signalled its readiness to fast-track the amendment of the 1999 Constitution to accommodate the establishment of state police, declaring that the renewed push by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the reform has further strengthened lawmakers’ resolve to conclude the process within weeks. In an exclusive telephone interview with The Guardian, the Chairman, Senate Committee on Media and Public Affairs, Yemi Adaramodu, said the President’s call was receiving accelerated legislative attention, adding that near unanimity has already been achieved among federal lawmakers on the contentious reform. According to Adaramodu, the National Assembly had made significant progress on the constitution review process even before the President’s public appeal. “President Tinubu’s appeal on state police is being taken seriously by the National Assembly,” he said. “Even before Mr. President spoke, we had achieved near unanimity on the issue, among other items listed for amendment in the Constitution. “Our case is being aided by agreements among many strata of leadership in Nigeria, including the Nigeria Governors’ Forum, the state Houses of Assembly and traditional rulers. So, it will not take us much longer to conclude the processes and pass the constitution amendments https://guardian.ng/politics/state-police-senate-to-accelerate-constitution-amendment-as-tinubu-pushes-reform/ |
Now that President Donald Trump is done with the terrorists in Iran, he should please turn his full attention to the Fulani islamists carrying out genocide against Christians in Nigeria including their leadership like the Sultan, Sheikh Gumi and Sheikh Jingir. |
What Mr Showumi doesn't know is that in Nigeria, victories tend to encourage supporters of the winning party for future elections while defeat demolarises supporters of the losing side. It will get worse for ADC in 2027. |
bentenny:Which clauses are in place to prevent the current federal police from political interference? The President appoints the IGP and can fire him/her at will. Where in the world is the police independent of the executive arm of government? The need for State police in Nigeria is now critical and urgent. No further delay is required. |
Liars. So why is there no Sharia in Turkey, Azerbaijan, Kosovo, Kazakhstan all muslim countries? Sharia is an extremist violent interpretation of Islam, that is why sane muslims don't practice it. |
Indigenous technology. Empowering the local communities. |
But he is not a Muslim so how can you accuse him of blasphemy? Can we say then that all muslims who say that Jesus Christ is not the Son of God but a mere prophet can be accused of blasphemy and threatened to be killed the way muslims always react when Christians say anything they don't like about their prophet? You see why genocide against Christians in Nigeria is real and why the US government is insisting that Sharia and all anti-blasphemy laws must be abolished to stop the ongoing genocide against Christians. |
Kobicove:State police is for states that can afford it. Those that cannot, will have to make do with the federal police already in place. That's what true federalism entails. |
Give it to Tinubu. He is a smart political strategist. |
Kwankwaso is already designated as a state sponsor of terror and about to be sanctioned by the United States of America. He has nothing more to offer apart from Sharia and persecution of Christians in Nigeria. |
Why is he in a hurry? |
Nigeria's federal and northern state governments keep paying these bandits billions of naira which are then used to buy more guns and equipment for them to continue terrorizing Christians yet same government will claim that there is no state-sponsored genocide against Christians in Nigeria. |
The US should include the Sultan of Sokoto in its sanctions list. It is evident he has a hand in the killings being carried out by Fulani islamists. Just a few months ago, he said nobody owns land in the country, that land belongs to God, so people should stop telling trespassing fulani herders to leave their land. It was quite irritating to listen to that. |
