Nigeria is the only country where terrorists are tagged "repented" by the government, given cash payouts and decent houses, while their victims are left in IDP camps and unmarked graves. Of course the terrorists are all muslims so it is not very surprising that such strange largesse is extended to them especially with their brother heading the NSA. None of them is ever brought to justice for the murders they committed, the churches they burned or the forced conversion of Christians to muslims like the Chibok girls were publicly subjected to.

This is why the USA is correct in saying that the Nigerian government is carrying out genocide against Christians in the country.

President Jonathan made a terrible mistake during the privatization of PHCN, turning it from a national public monopoly to different private monopolies in their states of operation. Ideally, the GENCOs should also be in charge of distribution to encourage more players into the generation business. But Jonathan sold off the DISCos to politicians with little or no experience in electricity matters while Joe Ajaero who was electricity union president at the time, failed to demand due diligence after Jonathan's excessive payout to PHCN staff distorted his reasoning. At the end, most of the staff who collected humongous pay off, were still retained by the new owners who themselves have been ripping the country off since then.

The NSA Nuhu Ribadu has been a monumental failure. President Tinubu is fueling insecurity in the country by retaining him in that office.

Fulani herdsmen have been busy with their orgy of violence killing countless number of Christian farmers in Benue state over the last few weeks. From Kwande to Apa to Katsina Ala and Guma, the killings go on unchecked. Nigerian soldiers sent to the area do nothing except arresting and sometimes killing the indigenes who are brave enough to defend themselves from the fulanis. As usual, the fulani attackers are never caught or killed.

It is now more than a month since President Tinubu called for state police but he has taken no concrete steps to actualize it. Even the killings and kidnappings in his own South west region doesn't seem to bother him. He just hid himself in the presidential villa enjoying Solar light while the rest of the country is in blackout and under the feet of killer herdsmen.

May God save these vulnerable people in Nigeria as Tinubu selfishly minds his own business.

I won't be surprised if he is the one who invited Fulani herdsmen to Rivers state. He has never condemned the senseless killings by herdsmen in Ogoniland and other parts of Rivers state.

The chief of army staff is very incompetent. He is more interested in rehabilitating repentant terrorists than killing them but when the terrorists catch his soldiers, they show no mercy. This is why it is dangerous to have terrorists sympathizers heading our security forces.

This is one of many reasons why state police is necessary. The federal police are only interested in standing on federal highways to intimidate commercial vehicle owners and collect bribes from them at gun point.

Unintendedly, those pictures show a lack of urban planning. Soon those haphazardly built houses will grow into a slum.

Iran is the cause. Nigerians know how to cope with all kinds of inconveniences. This storm too will pass.

Please the state police should be quickly created. A lot of states are unsafe because the federal police and army are just focused on collecting bribes from motorists. That patriotic zeal to protect their people from criminals and terrorists is not there because they are not indigenous to the states they operate in.

Burkina Faso will not mind their business now and focus on how to improve their goats, sheep and corn exports that earn them foreign exchange.

This is not true. Northern Governors forum have long endorsed state police. The Nigerian Governors Forum have given go-ahead for state police. The delay is coming from President Tinubu. He is the one playing games.

The Nigerian army have long been known to be cowards. They are only brave when they face civilians protesting peacefully but when they meet Boko Haram and fulani herdsmen, they pull off their uniforms and run away.

If our dear President Donald J Trump of America can cry out to the world that his country's elections are rigged, only an insincere person expects Nigeria's elections to be 100% clean. What America haven't been able to do in 250 years of uninterrupted democracy, is what some people want Nigeria to perfect in 27 years of democracy.

Just because they are Fulani, they are now your brothers. Did you take into account the countless lives including little children that they have taken? Who gives them justice? When you have an NSA who is sympathetic to terrorists rather than their victims, it is easy to know why the cycle of violence never stops in the country.

There's should be no room again for any dillydally. State police is a must. We already have similar agencies that can be used by the lawmakers to evaluate possible negatives. Their job is to create specific laws to abate them. State security agency like Amotekun is a very good benchmark. They understand the local terrains better and have worked together with army and police on many successful operations. Laws don't allow them to carry sophisticated weapons and they are not allowed to intervene in any election. A replica of this nationwide should be a good way to go.

State police understand their area of coverage better because they will be indigenous to the area. State police will really solve a lot of the security challenges in the country as their level of passion and commitment will be far greater than a police force headed and staffed by outsiders whose only motivation is to get postings to states where bribe taking is easy.
