Possess at least a Masters degree in Library and Information Science or Library Studies, plus at least seventeen (17) years post qualification cognate experience.
Be registered with a professional Library body.
Not be below the rank of Chief Librarian in a Public College of Education System or a Public Institution of higher learning.
Not be more than sixty (60) years of age by the time of assumption of office (January, 2017).
Be computer literate.
Be of proven integrity.
Be a certified Librarian.
Show evidence of scholarly publications in National and International Journals.
Note: possession of a doctorate degree (PhD) will be an added advantage.
