PoliticsRe: Amaechi On Face-off With President Jonathan (Video) by ilebaami: 9:54am On Jul 28, 2013
Billyonaire: I saw arrogance, I saw false charisma, and I saw a man who disobeys the "First of the 48 Laws of Power" without a standing in the transgression of the law.

In his statements, he said he does not discuss about his sub-ordinates, yet he wants The President to discuss with him.

In politics, diplomacy is the order - Doing the harshest things in the nicest way, but Amaechi has been openly insulting a sitting President that was voted-in by majority of Nigerians and by extension, the majority of Nigerians are pained by these insults.

I understand that Nairaland age group is majorly 21-25 yrs so many Nairalanders are just advancing bracket who are either just out of school, seeking jobs, and inexperienced as is normal in that age bracket, but for those who pay the pipers, for those in the age bracket of 25 to 60s, we know what it means to have an insubordinate person in a chain of command, so when I watch this video about Amaechi, I feel terrible with his utterances. He is clearly done in politics and is trying to bring GEJ down with him. Arrogance and Pride has no place in politics.
The age bracket of most Nairalanders must be the reason for excessive venom in articles. I handle a lot of very young people between 18 and 25. I encourage them to read the lines very closely. But more importantly, I tell them to look between the lines and see that there is more than meets their young eyes. Young people should learn to ask questions and listen a lot.

Hear the Irish Mirror of 17th June 2013:
"Motorists can expect major traffic disruptions in Dublin today and tomorrow due to the visit of the US first lady Michelle Obama and her daughters Sasha and Malia.

Kildare Street on the south of the city will be closed to through traffic until tomorrow evening as the three women are staying in the Shelbourne Hotel.

Mrs Obama and her daughters are visiting Dublin while her husband will be at the G8 summit in Fermanagh.

Dublin Bus routes through the city will also be affected and will re-join their routes via Hume Street/St Stephen‘s Green or Merrion Square East.

There will also be temporary rolling road closures to make the movements of Mrs Obama and her daughters easier today.

Traffic coming from the Leeson Street direction on the opposite side of St Stephen’s Green will not face restrictions.

Local parking restrictions are in place on St Stephen’s Green East and North and Molesworth Street until tomorrow evening after kicking in at 6pm yesterday."
How intelligent is Soyinka?

Bleep.u.sexkills:
President that promised and delivered what? Really? Where is the light we supposed to have by end of 2012? Where are the 36 new aiports? Where are the good roads? Where is the corruption fight promised? Where is the fresh air promised? How many of our rifineries working? Where are the 100 buses promised after the oil subsidy saga?

All we got so far is voodoo arithmetic; ala 5 greater than 29, 16 greater than 19, his wife harassing a sitting democratically elected Governor.

2015 is around the corner.
Your reaction is a dissappointment. No fuel queues and you are not happy. Light? All previous Presidents have not done as much as Jonathan in privatising Power which is the only solution, and you are not happy? Consensus as agreed in previous and all NGF constitutional arrangement is superior to 19 secret voters(19 daylight signatures and midnight invisible voters, who is superior? and you are not happy? GEJ is a winner any day.
PoliticsRe: Soyinka Warns About Rivers State Crisis by ilebaami: 3:34pm On Jul 18, 2013
Wole Soyinka may have written many plays. He may have the Nobel. He may have been a sound mind. At the moment I can see why he cannot have a wife. He is immature.
PoliticsRe: Michael Chinda Remains Unconscious After Surgery by ilebaami: 4:09pm On Jul 13, 2013
size38: The media has been biased on the footage. Dey refused showing when Chidi Llyod was being beaten by by this same micheal chinda and Eavns Bipi. Also, dey refused to show when where micheal chinda and his group were shouting shoot him, shout him. Even when Evans Bipi was slapping d speaker Hon. Amachree. Infact, micheal chinda got what he bergained for. What must have given them d guts to go inside d Assembly hall wit thugs and a fake mace to impeach d speaker? Ordinary 5 members challenging 27. Is dat possible? If not for d intervention of d Governor, only God knows d number that would have been killed by their thugs and militants they came wit. Is that d democracy we all wish for our country? Politics of thuggry and impunity here and there.
How do you think the 5 were just 5? Why can't the so-called 27 stand up for themselves? The answer is simple. Bipi 5 has more lawmakers on his side, period.

Gbawe: http://pmnewsnigeria.com/2013/07/11/rivers-assembly-fracas-soyinka-falana-slam-jonathan/
Soyinka berates Jonathan because he cannot see that Lloyd started the fight in the the peaceful house by grabbing the Mace. Falana too does not see any tormentors except GEJ. These people need to come to Port Harcourt and talk with people.
PoliticsRe: Rivers' Speaker Impeached, Amaechi Storms Assembly As Fight Erupts? by ilebaami: 11:11pm On Jul 09, 2013
Pukkah: What manner of affront and audacity is that?! Only 5 members attempted an impeachment?

Nonsense!

Kudos to the pro-Amaechi Team!

Like play, like play, Jangling Jang (with his minority votes) is still parading himself as the Chairman of the NGF. God forbid the coup by another minority group!

Vigilance is the eternal price of liberty.

To be forwarned is to be forearmed.

If you don't want an unruly stick to injure your eye, you must dodge it or avoid it from afar.

Kudos to Rotimi Amaechi!

It's either you come out of this much stronger or much weaker.

In any case, life is a risk. Face it. Fortune favours the bold. Greatness is not for the lilly-livered or the spineless.

Ride on Rotimi!
You need to ask how the 5 had the floor of the house to conduct the impeachment successfully. You will all soon know that Amaechi 27 have melted. Chidi the aggressor who is breaking heads with the mace is in the dark.

buffox: Out of all of this; I cannot help but ponder on this question Where would GEJ go back to as a home land after his dictatorial reign?

Here is a list of all those GEJ has decided to terminate politically and send to the gallows:

- James Ibori (Delta State - SS Region)
- Henry Okah (Rivers State - SS Region)
- Timipre Sylva (Bayelsa State - SS Region)
- Rotimi Amaechi (Rivers State - SS Region)huh?

There is life after presidency - that's the bit I cannot help but foresee a bleak one for him!
You are so sure that you are right. However you are totally wrong. GEJ has been on the popular side with the people in each of the cases you mentioned. You are not from the SS so your view is coloured by a compromised press. I feel genuinely sorry that smart people like you are not allowed to know the truth. You soon will.

musiwa29: Intervene . britain built the first road.. from lagos to ibadan.

as i am speaking to you in the year of our lord 2013. the queen is still the head of western nigeria

this is carter bridge. you can see all nigeria govt did was remove walkway. painted it new. and claim it is a new bridge. this is the scam that as been going on. britain built it in 1901. you can go and mesure the width.

jonathan is not rebuilding this road, he just comes to take pictures and for the next 10 years the road will remain the same. this is what they have been doing to our people we are feed up.

the ibadan to ilorin expressway road. the road was built because i openly ask olusegun obasanjo to build the road. that what will they remember him for.

look at carter bridge built in 1901...

PoliticsRe: Lies Told By Our SW Brothers by ilebaami: 2:44pm On Jun 23, 2013
ilebaami: Lagos has a high misery index amongst Nigerian States. If for example you are a university Prof, you will live a more comfortable life in the following cities than Lagos: Calabar, Uyo, Port Harcourt and Abuja. These cities have functioning infrastructure, Security and less tax burden.
Lagosians are beginning a life of suffering and bragging. Let me give a simple example of the growing misery of Lagos. To touch the sea water in Lagos you will spend not less than N500 in form of transport and tolls to Oniru, Eleko, badagry etc. A few years ago you would
just walk up to the bar beach for next to nothing. Now that is no more, instead you are going to have the
Atlantic City so expensive that only non-Lagosians from
SE and Niger Delta will be able to buy in the main.
Furthermore, the SW is living on past glory and the allure of Lagos. Lagosians and S/Westerners cannot carry the maintenance burden of Lagos for long. In a few years the S/W except Ondo will need aid from economically prospering states like Anambra, Akwa ibom, Rivers, Delta and other non SW states. Only Ogun is tapping it's potential in SW.
Education in all the SW is falling rapidly. Check the cut off marks of Anambra, Delta and Imo of late and compare with Oyo, Ekiti. The SW needs the SE/SS more than they realize.

PoliticsRe: ACN Advises Abati To Mind His Language by ilebaami: 10:33pm On Jun 13, 2013
Lai and the ACN need not lose sleep over Dr. Reuben Abati's eloquence. GEJ and his men have bragging rights based on their documented mid-term successes. Abati is bound to be a little more assertive. Too bad for Lai whose claims are free of facts.
