Nigerian brothers Ola and Abel Osundario, had agreed to testify against Hollywood actor Jussie Smollett after being allegedly paid $3,500 to stage what the actor claimed was a racist and homophobic attack against him in January 2019. This is coming after the Osundario Brothers refused to testify in the court case against the actor, because, according to them the police still treat them as suspects. Initial reports confirmed that the brothers formerly pulled out due to an administrative dispute over the whereabouts of a 9mm handgun taken during a raid in February 2019, when brothers were considered suspects. But according to an attorney, Gloria Schmidt-Rodriguez, the gun has been located and the brothers are back on board. However, CBS News Chicago, equally reported that the two brothers, Abel and Ola Osundairo are now back in, following a dispute about a handgun discovered by the police during a raid in their home while they were still considered suspects. A statement on on behalf of brothers was given by Attorney Gloria Schmidt Rodriguez were he said that due to an intervention by special prosecutor Dan Webb the brothers, will now cooperate. Jussie Smollett has pleaded not guilty to the new indictment. A judge earlier this month denied a request by Smollett to drop the new charges.
