I'd like to point out these salient observations about this so called Anambra international airport without putting anyone to the cleaners. The terminal aluminium roofing as seen here is a complete mockery of standards relative to the cost of the project. This to the best of what I know makes it not sound proof. With an estimated cost of project to be 6billion naira, something of more quality could have been achieved, but for a team of money laundering legends to be at the helms, anything flies and mediocrity will be celebrated anytime given the group of gullible folk in our society.

The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Airpeace Nigeria Limited, Chief Allen Onyema says at ninety five percent completion stage, Anambra International Cargo and Passenger Airport, Umueri is ready to commence commercial activities.

Chief Onyema who gave the disclosure upon his landing at the airport for the third time, described the airport as a gateway into the South East Region.

His landing concided with Governor Willie Obaino's weekly inspection visit to the airport in company of members of Anambra State Organized Labour.

The Airpeace boss who disabused people's mind from thinking and seeing it as a white elephant project, stressed that it received the fastest approval by the federal government of Nigeria.

He applauded the federal government for corperating with Anambra State, described the project as befitting as the federal government is pushing commercial activities into the South East and added that Anambra airport is better than most airports in the Country.

According to Chief Onyema, every facility in aviation is already within the airport, noted that it is a legacy project that nobody can ever doubt.

He called on people who have businesses outside the state to come and invest, as the facility has the capacity to provide millions of jobs in the areas of travel agencies, hotels, resorts among other business opportunities as, stressing that the airport is viable for such businesses.

Among those who were part of the visit was the Deputy Speaker of the state House of Assembly, Dr. Paschal Agbodike.

Nigeria society of engineers visit to the Anambra State International Conference Center, Awka

In time Obianos single biggest achievement from the over 800 billion naira he spent since 2015 will be the 4-6 billion naira International Conference Center which is unparalleled in the South East. Finally trade shows, awards, business conferences and political conferences will be held in Anambra not just Lagos and Abuja. Lets hope as he is taking power from Agu Awka to the airport he will spare a thought for ensuring constant supply to the Conference Center and environs.

But they have to drop it for Anambra the new state , cos the Omambra river that Anambra got it's name was not located in enugu

Besides u don't create a new state into old capital , between Edo and Delta , Delta is new cos they got new capital while Edo got Benin city
I know u will call Delta old state if they took the name Bendel with them , abi ? Whoever got the old capital city is the old state , forget name

Saw the carousel being installed. The Governor said the three fire-trucks have been paid for and are being built to specification, so should arrive the country soon. He said three escalators and three lifts are to be installed as well. The airport has been linked up to the recently launched power substation to guarantee electricity supply to the airport. He also reiterated that the project was done without the state gov't borrowing a kobo, while not shirking its other financial obligations like salary payments, etc. He rounded up by saying anyone asking silly question like 'why he landed in the brand new airport'....if it's vexing them that much they can go and build their own!

Why are you crying? Did he or Did he not start and complete 3 massive flyovers in Awka ? I know a southeast governor that has been building a single flyover in Aba for 6.5 years now. Yet, its not completed.

Enugu was created in 1976 by Muritala Mohammed , Anambra was created by babangida in 1991

After creating new Anambra in 1991
Enugu has to forfeit the name Anambra, cos the Omambra river is situated mainly in Anambra not Enugu .

Enugu should be around 45 , just like Imo state , Abia and Anambra was created same period with Delta State
