APGA Commences Registration Of Delegates Ahead Of Governorship Primary Election

Statutory and Adhoc delegates of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA for the governorship primaries are gradually trooping into the accreditation venue, at Dr. Alex Ekwueme Square,Awka.

The delegates are being accredited according to wards, and local government areas.

The primary election will hold at a different venue later in today.

Anambra Broadcasting Service (ABS) can confirm that the process is peaceful, as INEC officials and security operatives are on ground to monitor the process, and ensure a hitch-free primaries.

Professional associations, international conferences (especially with UNIZIK nearby), Tradeshows (Onitsha is nearby). owever, to play at the international level or even locally they have to do a lot with the Awka state capital in terms of infrastructure, organization and management.)They have to improve accessibility of Agulu Lake Hotel where they sunk huge money and which will be attractive to high class visitors because of its remoteness and security. This means improving the road that leads there which is pothole ridden and lacks street lights. It means removing the police barricade of Zik Avenue and removing all the horrible things you see on Zik Avenue which include people parking on a dual lane carriageway (not done anywhere in the world), selling in wheel barrows and on the side of roads, and the filthy eke awka market in the center) They have to improve the federal expressway which means ensuring that trucks and trailers use the flyovers, remove that rubbish footbridge at Unizik junction, relocate TRACAS, EASTERN MASS, RIVERS TRANSPORT COMPANY and all Awka-Onitsha, Awka-Lagos and Awka-Abuja private buses that congest Unizik junction to a bus terminal at Agu-Awka. They have to build a flyover across from Regina Caeli - Old Inec road.) They have to reduce by 50% the number of Keke operating in the town or even ban them entirely and replace them with high capacity buses. Every other state licenses keke, shuttle buses not Anambra. They are now a nuisance in the state capital with their small capacity, wild driving behavior and use in criminal operations. They should concession out Ikenga Mall to investors to finish. Visitors will want to go shopping in the town and Ikenga Mall is a stone's throw.) They should remove the culture of touting entirely from Awka. This is the state capital not Ochanja and it should be a place for decent living for civil servants, university people and service businesses not street trading or primitive trading.
