Top 5 oil producing states in Nigeria: - Akwa ibom - Rivers - Delta - Ondo - Edo Even the Itsekiri's alone produce more oil than all Igbo speaking parts of Delta and the entire SE combined. So also does Ondo. So why do Igbo's lay claim to Niger Delta oil? |

Great initiative - this is what Afrocentricism and black consciousness is about. It will help the students excel more in sciences and mathematics!! |
Who's Akabueze? And who's XereX? Damn son! ![]() |
FreeGlobe: My brother why do you resort to insults now that you have lost the argument. You are becoming too emotional and uncivil for my liking. I only consider the issues and facts. If you can focus on that then we can talk. You started the ad hominem attack and I served you back with your own dose, bruv. Even comparing Detroit a city like Detroit whose claim to fame was solely car manufacturing - to a multi-layered city that virtually almost everything in Nigeria goes through shows you deserve more curses than that. How dare you compare a city that's the gateway to West Africa and that's been the hub of the West African coast for eons - to Detroit? Slap yourself for that! ![]() Anyway, when you can find any city in the world with the same small land-mass as Lagos - with over 20 million people, shout me! ![]() |
FreeGlobe: You seem to be as dumb as a stone. Most igbo elites live in Enugu and Abuja. The ones who stay and have houses in Lagos are those that have business interests there because of the monopoly of opportunities now being addressed. There is nothing strategic about the Location of Lagos and historical facts that will make it not to go to sleep (Apologies Ohaneze Ndigbo) when igbos depart to access other favourable opportunities. Detroit was once a rich and bubbling city in America, today they are filing for bankruptcy thanks to the advent of Japanese cars and other factors. .Laughable...You mean all your elites that cut their teeth in Lagos, no? Keep living in denial! I don't even want to make the thread a tribal warfare...however, the jealousy most of you exude when it comes to Lagos is sickening. You abuse it and want the worst for it, yet you want to lay claim to the same city like your collective lives depend on it - confused lot! How about get all your folks out of the city and see if won't prosper than it's now? Comparing Detroit to Lagos - two different cities with nothing in common shows how much of a twerp and rustic person you're. I doubt you were educated beyond secondary sch level, and if you're, it must have been one of those mushrooms unis in the middle of nowhere. |
solomon111: If you believe this nonsense you wrote up there, then sorry i can't help you.Your IQ has always been lower than that of a pander. So there's no surprise here. Rather than asking me dumb questions, tell me why your own fore-fathers never put your village on the map. |
FreeGlobe: if you like call Abuja a glorified whatever its still a million times better than the world biggest slum called Lagos. I have stayed in both places and should know. Heck both calabar and Enugu are even more liveable cities than Lagos, people just go to Lagos to make money and with the ongoing decentralization efforts of Lagos via new international airports and seaports, Lagos may become a ghost slum village in the future like Ibadan.it shows you don't understand the basics of how strategic location for commerce and economics, and historical factors would always make certain cities attracts more investors than others. Even if Lagos is decentralised (something I hope happens soon to decongest the city), it would only rid the city off scroungers and attract a new wave of investors from diaspora. Hence why despite the decentralisation of everything in the UK, London is still the premier city in the UK. Same for New York city in America. Lagos was Lagos before Nigeria, and the glory will never depart it - that's a fact. Also you keep citing your pseudo-livable cities, however, how come nobody wants to live in those cities? Heck, most of the people from there troop to Lagos - why? |
solomon111: Lagos is not even in the top-ten livable cities in Nigeria.Well, a few countries on the list were represented by two or more cities - how come all the villages you listed up there ^^^^ didn't get a mention? All those villages combined should never be mentioned in the same sentence as Lagos. People from there migrate to Lagos, not the other way round. You can overdose on haterade as much as you want, but you lot can never touch Lagos. Lagos is head and shoulders above all those villages - FACT! ![]() And hell yeah, my fore-fathers set the tone for what Lagos is today. (REAL)Lagosians have always been far ahead of everyone in Nigeria way before there was a Nigeria. We're talking about merchants who controlled the coast and monopolised trades here - savvy and ingenious people who put Lagos on the world map! |
FreeGlobe: Not all cities made the list, Abuja is far better than Lagos but was not there, the list was all about the best and the worst, the intermediates were not consideredYou're not making sense at all. If Abuja was considered a city worth mentioning, I'm sure it would have made the list. Abuja is just Abuja, a glorified pensioners' town. |
solomon111: That state has no future. However, it made the list...where's your ![]() |
mankevo: In rational thinking, I don't expect anyone to jubilate over this. Do we reason ''One Nation'' at all?@ the bolded - words of wisdom! |
Yes, it might be the 4th worst city in the world, however, it's still the best and by far the only place worthy of city-status in Nigeria. The rest are glorified villages and towns and none of them made the list, including the sleepy and boring architectures having Abuja! If you doubt my assertion, check the migration pattern in Nigeria to find out the only place where almost all Nigerians want to migrate to. Anyway, that being said, how many cities in the world with the small land-mass as Lagos has over 20 million people inhabitants? - NONE. So Lagos isn't really doing bad, thanks to Fashola - the state just need to purge some of the "foreigners" living there and it'd be fine. The land of my ancestors, Lagos, I'm really proud of you! ![]() Signed by Imhotep, the greatest man that ever lived and the father of almost everything we call civilisation! |
Nigerians are problematic everywhere they go!! ![]() |
Military strike CANCELLED! They would wait for the UN report! I knew they were bluffing, today's Russia is Putin's Russia and the Iranians. China has also joined the axis against the west. Syria is not Libya, Syria has enough to cause some damage. And with Iran, Syria has a capable ally. |
Great move! They don't want to be sucked in, however, they would lead from behind...with the Iranians and its proxies leading from the front. The war is more or less an Israeli vs. Iranian confrontation. Missiles are going to start flying everywhere in the next few days, may the best side win. I just hope certain civilisations don't perish in this one! ![]() |
true2god: I agree, Russia is not a reliable ally. When US threatened dem in cuba (1962), dey chickened out despite the fact that the US was afraid of attcking cuba. Can you tell us how they chickened out? If getting the US to remove its missile defence system in Europe and avoiding armageddon mean chickening out, then being a chicken isn't a bad idea, I guess. How about the US that was huffing and puffing, yet couldn't do nothing? Educate your mind and think before you post next time. |
Sharaf-G:Jaw jaw is only better than war war when you're dealing with sane people. However, when you're dealing with violent people who're superficially humanoids, but animalistic in their thought process. You've to war war and jaw jaw after sending a message across. The Fulani's bleed just like everyone else, so why should they be allowed to terrorise everyone? They aren't even known to be great fighters. This is the 21st century, the desert pikeys should look for other ways to raise their cattle rather than disturbing the peace everywhere. |
St_Black: its SO obvious u were never bright right from the inception of time!!!Church! To duffers, it's tribalism. To higher minds, it's nationalism and new consciousness to fight for the revival and survival of the Yoruba race. We've been stepped on and abused for too long, by these people who aren't even in the history books. We're taking a stand now - and Oduduwa has endorsed it! ![]() |
N_girl: I neither argue online nor in real life and I'm not going to start now. It's clear that you two(St_Black and ImHotep-X) lack a lot of intelligence in your day to day life.Go tell your autobiography to the birds - not interested in the story of your life, mate! ![]() If inane drivel is intelligence in your world, I'd rather be dumb. Most of you just post for the sake of it through your nostrils. What happened to the matter in the big skull that you've got? - use the darn thing next time! ![]() |
