The Imo State University (IMSU), Owerri has officially commenced registration for the 2026/2027 Post-UTME and Direct Entry Screening Exercise.

Registration started on Monday, 25th May 2026.

ELIGIBILITY

- Candidates must have chosen Imo State University, Owerri as their first choice and scored a minimum of 160 in the 2026 UTME.

- Candidates who did not choose IMSU initially but scored 160 and above can also apply, but must change their first choice to IMSU on JAMB CAPS before the closing date.

- Direct Entry candidates must possess OND, HND, First Degree, A’Level or equivalent in relevant disciplines.

- All candidates must upload their O’Level and qualifying results on JAMB CAPS. Candidates who fail to upload their results will not be admitted.

According to reports, a serving corps member at the Girls Secondary School, Ibagwa-Aka, Igbo-Eze South Local Government Area of Enugu State, Princess Motunrayo Bolufemi, on Saturday committed suicide because her parents rejected who she presented to them for marriage.

Motunrayo, who was a graduate of Banking and Finance from the Kogi State University, drank two bottles of snipper chemical and reportedly said “life is not worth living” before she died.
