lol, legacy would be given deputy, obaseki have been meeting with orbhi the divide is not too much

But they would get to test their might under primaries, once it's free and fair I don't see orbhi still talking, he said he would support whoever emerge

A deputy to them would close it, na Shaibu dem go use take settle

I go remind you when everything don burst.

you seem to be updated with the way you point it out

I just watched Ighodalo flag off, momentum is on his side, and he got obaseki media team if apc falls to his hand he can very well spin this to an oppression cry

His wife is also Igbo which is another deadly combo cos the non Edo communities are very well scattered in Benin metropolis and they too can easily be engulfed into the oppression cry

Shaibu also lost to asue with this homeboy talk and asue spinned it on whether diaspora Edo people are not also Edo which ended everything cos nobody in Edo that doesn't have a loved one abroad vital to them

Oshomole has previously fallen to obaseki in the torgba oppression cry so hope he learns

I'm not sure propaganda will go far in this election. Alot of people learnt from the 2020 guber election. Eyes are open now. I'm damn sure APC ticket will go to esan.

Ighodalo is not bad but the Obaseki baggage will affect him. Most people believe he didn't leave up to expectation. He had problems with the palace of the Benin Monarch and many others whose properties he demolished.

But most devastating will be imminent implosion of the PDP after the primaries. It's inevitable! Philip Shaibu will most likely team up with the legacy party led by Dan orbih to balkanize the PDP. They'll rather work for the APC than have Obaseki's candidate as governor.

There's no way on earth Philip Shaibu and Dan orbih will work for Obaseki's candidate. Never! Obaseki don show dem pepper. They see this election as an opportunity to deal with Obaseki.

How popular is osunbor, onolemenmen and col imuse

From these three here, onolemenmen will be the best. But I don't think Oshiomhole will support him.

Col imuse is a nobody in Edo politics.

You have a point.honrstly,APC needs to hurry and unveil it's candidate to match the growing popularity of ighodalo

Ighodalo is not a threat at all. He can't win this election unless APC gifts it to him with their selection. The election is September, so there's more than enough time.

This election is for the APC to lose. All they need to do is simply give the ticket to a grassrooted esan man. That's all.

Okpebholo will blow Asue away in esan land, he's well loved by his people. Oshiomhole will deliver Edo north and Edo south will be shared. It's a very simple election.

If they don't give it to an esan man they'll lose. The esan agenda is beyond the esan people. It's a clamour for equity and justice which majority of Edo people across board have bought into.

It's called democracy for a reason. And for that fake list of votes by senators the surfaced online is clearly a fake news and many senators have since refuted it.

It wasn't an open ballot so how did you know who voted for who? It was a secret ballot voting. Think about it

Senator Monday Okpebholo aka Akpakomiza is Oshiomhole's choice for the APC ticket.

Please, tell us the truth since you feels what I said are all lies

Oshiomhole is not supporting ize iyamu this time around.

Obaseki didn't plant NEDA imasuen. Neda was a PA to urhoghide. He was to hold the ticket for urhoghide if he fails to clinch the PDP ticket against iduoriyekemwen who Obaseki was supporting. By the time he returned period for substitution was over. The guy went on to win via the Obidient movement.

Obaseki did not plant Rice man in LP. He's contesting on his own merit. He left the PDP very early when the rumour of Obaseki supporting Asue started to make the rounds.

He is fronting for Ize Iyamu once again but this time, he is not doing it openly because he knows there would be revolts from Esans who are APC members and sympathisers in Edo State.
But don't worry bro, an average Esan man cannot be intimidated, so if Edo APC bring forth a non Esan candidate, we that are Esan APC members can deal with Oshiomhole and every others.

You're a bloody liar

Obi's party, LP doesn't even have a say in this Edo election, it's all about APC and PDP.
And, Ken Imasuagbon, the rice man may likely win LP primary because it's Obaseki that planted him there, given him 100m, so that if Shaibu fails to get PDP, he won't be able to move to LP to get their ticket to contest.
Same way it was Obaseki that planted the current Senotor, representing Edo South, Ned Imasuen, incase PDP candidate failed to win and it worked for him

If APC doesn't present an ESAN candidate, I, a die hard APC supporter and Oshiomhole political son will be supporting and voting Asue Ighodalo.
It's an ESAN agenda and it's a movement both on ground and in the lips of every Edolites. APC better gives the ticket to Onolemhenmen, who is a well known Esan man compared to Ighodalo, else we will bury our own party in this election in Edo State.

An esan man will get the ticket but it's not going to be onolemenmen

What I want you to know is, the house can rock the bolt against them by not allowing the clerk to inaugurate them for months while the lawmakers concerned/ousted filed frivolous case in the court. But as a person, I am of the opinion that the ousted lawmakers should file for a review at the appeal court and direct same to the president of the appeal court. The judges that delivered the judgements erred in law because there are several supreme court precedence they should have followed but they just went to manufactured their own law and robbed it on the legitimately voted lawmakers.

Like I said before, the judgement is flawed but there's nothing they can do about it unfortunately.

IfnobeGod20:

Some of your points are valid but I found one there laughable. In paragraph 5, you claimed the speaker can be suspended sine die by the new speaker. Please who is this new speaker? Remember these 16 lawmakers cannot function except they are inaugurated by the clerk and it is when they function, they can choose speaker among themselves and then do what you claimed there.
They need doing their home work very well so that the house clerk can inaugurate them into the house and make them to function as lawmakers, else they can do but nothing.

Meanwhile, the 16 lawmakers can apply for review of the cases and address it to the appeal court president. They need not apply to the supreme court because legislative election ends at the appeal court. Where justice is the focal point, I think something need to be done about it. If they advanced the same prayer on their appeal but the judges looked other way, it would make their argument for review tenable and sensible.

You answered your question yourself. He can't stop their inauguration. They'll eventually get inaugurated and deal with the ypp speaker later. He should have sense.

By the way appeal court doesn't review judgement. Even the supreme court that does, is very rare and very difficult to do.

They'll soon file form 48 and 49 against him. The court will summon him to come and show course why he should not be sent to prison.

Lol 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Prison don dey hungry dis illiterate speaker so.

Tinubu is the president not Buhari. He's a core politician who protects his party's members. That's obvious in the way he sided with the 27 APC lawmakers in Rivers even against court orders, let alone when the court judgement is in their favour. Lol 🤣🤣🤣

That ypp mugu should be advised accordingly before he's strip naked.

As for the other ignoramus members of nairaland exposing their ignorance here, there's no review anywhere. All assembly matters both state and national ends at the appeal court. The supreme court lacks jurisdiction to even hear it at all.

The speaker has a choice to either leave there peacefully or be disgraced out of the seat. He may even be suspended sine die by the new speaker if he's not careful.

Finally, it's a painful and unfair judgement by the appeal court but there's nothing anybody can do about it. It remains binding as unjust and painful as it is.
