LadyGuinivere:
1. You can ENTER the US up until the last day of its validity.
2. You may be stamped in for a period not exceeding 6 months (usually) at the cbp's discretion.
3. U are allowed to stay in the US Depending on the tenure stamped in so if ur visa expires in December and the VO stamps u in for 6 months , technically ur visa has been extended for that long.
4. However if the vo is not minded to do that and decides to stamp u in for the validity of ur visa , you then have issues.
So finally, there are your options. Its now for u to decide of u wanna renew or hope to stamped in longer.
For me. I never take chances and I'd rather have a long term valid visa before travelling
Thank you very much @LadyGuinivere your response was very helpful. I think I might just renew as you said, will give the feedback in due time. Have a great day

Good morning house and happy easter.
Very informative posts in here and I must say thank you to everyone for the lively discussion.
We just found out that we are expecting our 2nd baby and we will like to have the baby in the USA. The baby is due in early December but my US visa also expires in December so it will definitely expire during my stay. Can I use it like that or do I renew the visa before I travel?

You can use healthgrade to find a doctor. Where in the USA would you like to have your baby? That will help us guide you.
Thanx Chidaroy i would like to have my baby in Fayetteville, North Carolina.

Hi everyone, I have been following this thread silently since part 1 and I've learnt a lot. Thanx to everyone for sharing valuable information.
Please I want to know if anyone knows any affordable hospital and doctor in Fayetteville, North Carolina?? I am due in May and still haven't found a doctor or hospital.
The one my auntie who lives there used said they can't accept me as a patient or give me any written appointment until they see me in person. I am worried that at the POE they may ask for any hospital correspondence and I don't want to be sent home abeg!
Any help for this first-time-mama?
