LadyGuinivere:

Please don't call somebody's questions nonsense. The poster actually made valid points. Another Person Made a list of pros and cons. Yes there are cons to birthing in the US just like everything else in life.
U just put both on an imaginary scale and pick one side. If people called your questions back then nonsense u wudnt have been returning here
I called the question nonsense, because the benefits is like the difference between light and darkness.,moreover, this forum is for the people who wants to give birth in the USA for one reason or the other. not for someone who is trying to discourage others by saying that we are subjecting our children to future tax burden in the US, before even asking his or her question about the benefits of becoming a US citizen. So i see the writer more as a discourager than as a person who wants to know more. However, the question you said i asked back then was a relevant question concerning visa, which is in line with the forum, nothing more.

people does travel experience matter when someone wants to give birth in the US?
Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 3 by happytbaby: 3:08pm On Mar 26, 2016
@ Yomisley,

I think it depends on who you meet (Visa officer). People have gotten it on virgin passports. Travel experience just helps to show capacity, and may also demonstrate that you are likely to come back since you 've been going to other countries(developed) and coming back. It's not a must sha, just show your money, be prepared and pray for Grace.

@ Austine2020,

I think you read the original poster's post with bias, I have read it for the umpteenth time and simply cannot see what you are saying. She was polite. I have seen people condemning this our endeavour on the first few pages of part 1 of this thread (dunno if those posts survived the rapture) and Comfortina does not sound anything like them.

This endeavor is a choice, if someone gets discouraged by those questions then they didn't have something to do before,as my people will say 'won nikan se'.

It is important to be civil to people on this thread regardless of your opinion of their thinking. It's impossible for all of us to think alike else husbands and wives would never quarrel.

Lady G abeg ctrl alt ignore.

@Biollar, this your dollar quest is gangster, see you using torchlight to find money no wonder your moniker rhymes with'dollar'

Petdaughter:
Hi Guys, I got a very sad call this morning. My cousin lost her 3 year old son yesterday. The little boy was playing in their compound with other kids, no-one knew when he left the compound and then stepped on a soak-away slab. The slab was not stable and he fell into the soak-away. Everyone gathered and tried to get him out but unfortunately he had swallowed and inhaled the waste. The poor boy died. I feel so sad and unhappy about this. Pls dear moms, try to be alert towards ur toddlers and kids, one split second can make a world of difference. This is the most heart breaking news I've ever heard Cos I have a 3 year old son myself. May God continue to protect us and our little ones from harm. Amen!

May you take comfort in knowing that you have an angel in heaven. I extend my most sincere condolences to you and yours

This is part of the pros of giving birth here...you cannot come n fall inside soakaway here...may God help us in Nigeria....may the little boy's soul rest in peace.
LadyGuinivere:
@ozycy no be like that o! Sometimes these soakaways are just the result of terrible contractors. U will be living in a new house and be feeling funky, next thing one wall or the other just gives in.
My husband stepped on the soakaway of our former house and the thing just collapsed. Na out of giri giri e take hold onto the walls with em legs and hands for dear life o! Nobody was there o! This was a house that was less than 4 years old. So na just to dey pray against nonsense and ingridents occurrences.
@petdaugter I don't even know how to say sorry o but sorry to to your people o.

Good morning house and happy easter.
Very informative posts in here and I must say thank you to everyone for the lively discussion.
We just found out that we are expecting our 2nd baby and we will like to have the baby in the USA. The baby is due in early December but my US visa also expires in December so it will definitely expire during my stay. Can I use it like that or do I renew the visa before I travel?

1. You can ENTER the US up until the last day of its validity.
2. You may be stamped in for a period not exceeding 6 months (usually) at the cbp's discretion.
3. U are allowed to stay in the US Depending on the tenure stamped in so if ur visa expires in December and the VO stamps u in for 6 months , technically ur visa has been extended for that long.
4. However if the vo is not minded to do that and decides to stamp u in for the validity of ur visa , you then have issues.
So finally, there are your options. Its now for u to decide of u wanna renew or hope to stamped in longer.
For me. I never take chances and I'd rather have a long term valid visa before travelling
