You can always transfer the cost to the owner of the website! Outsource the work for a small fee, charge the owner slightly higher and there u have the site ready in no time without any stress.

@DualCore Gr8 point on having a CONTRACT I just can't stress the importance of this.

MY SIMPLE UNWRITTEN RULES:

1.Make ur clients Sign CONTRACTS - "If its not in PRINT its NOT that IMPORTANT" - Make ur potential client sign this before u begin any work.

2. Never do any demos or samples - its a waste of time, the client will look for someone cheaper to do the work eventually. If he/she insists on having a demo or sample tell him/her to have a look at ur portfolio.

3. Discuss the amount and mode of payment before hand - I have found that having them pay 100% before the work begins avoids unnecessary problems. Trust me a client that is ready to pay 100% or 80% before the job is a serious one. U pay 100% for ur air ticket before u board the plane so why should web design be any different?

4. No Refunds - Let them know in the contract that if they decide to stop the web project for any reason that there will be no REFUNDS at all. Again this helps u get only quality clients that know what they really want.

5. Don't be Cheap - If u follow the above rules it can be really hard at the beginning to get clients as they are TOUGH. But once u get good clients make sure to charge them reasonable amounts. Its better to do 2 websites for 500k each than 10 websites for 100k each. The former is less stressful as u r dealing with just 2 quality clients.

6. Don't Be Afraid to fire the Client - if any client becomes stubborn e.g doesn't pay on time or simply stressing you don't be afraid to get rid of him/her no matter how long u have been together. Staying with this client will even hinder ur performance on other clients' projects.

NOW TO MY ADVICE
If u feel u have given that client enough time. Just be bold and walk away such clients aren't worth it at all. Don't look at it that u wasted ur time. In fact u have saved urself a lot of time in the future following up such a client to pay. Now since you have learned a vital lesson don't repeat such a mistake with the next client.

This error mostly occurs due to Web space quota. to solve this increase the size of the allocated quota if u have access to the server control panel or contact ur server admin to do it for u. E.g if ur quota is currently 50MB upgrade to 100MB.

when u are making ur order for a domain or hosting at godaddy.com before you check out there is an option where u can enter a valid coupon code and get discounts. For instance if u r buying a .com domain which costs lets say $10 and u enter the coupon code rad7 . If its valid u will pay $7 instead.

A .com name is good and easily accessible than a .com.ng, as people might forget the ng and dont find your domain,
If you want to reach out to Nigerians and the world in general,i would advise for a .com name,which cost lest than 20$ and free hosting.

350k for a dot com name is pure 419 cos me i buy domains for $0.79 cents .

I would have to agree with styles2009 on this one. Its like second nature for almost all internet users to think that every domain end in a .com So get urself a .com if u u can get it! Its also great for ur SEO. .com domain usually rank better than a .com.ng

Can someone point me in the right direction
Ive been Reading these posts on unlocking modems and I'm a bit confused,
I'm in London but will be in Nigeria for 5 weeks from next week and want to be able to access the net on my lap top,
i guess unlocking the usb modem is like with the phones where by youcan put any Sim card in it, but my worry is what are the data charges or is this for free, are you guys surfing for free or do you somehow pay your service provider eg. (mtn) and how do the charges work out.
Also my mobile phone is wifi enabled and so is my lap top and my phone has a modem inside so can i not somehow surf the net with this combination by just using the Sim card in the phone. also which network has the fastest service.
can anyone indicate the sort of costs involved in surfing or how to possibly hack into a network

You will not surf for Free but after unlocking you can use ur vodafone 3g modem on mtn or glo networks!!!
