Has anybody going for English Language and Literature got the "Admitted" status?

Hello house. What should my girl do, every time she tries to check her admission status on her jamb profile, it request for the year of examination, but the scroll down list that pops up is only up to 2016 utme? Thus she has been unable to check her admission status.

Use a computer, it dosen't show if you're using opera mini, or google chroome on your mobile phone. Maybe you can try mozilla firefox and see if it will open. But it will definitely show if you use computer.

Thanks. It worked out. My status show "Not Admitted". I hope this does not mean anything negative oh. Did anybody else status show not admitted?

Is the CAPS registration still going on? Can it be done in any internet cafe or must it be CBT centre?

Hello everyone, why is the admission list taking so long to be released? Pls does anyone know for sure when merit list will be out. Pls let me know thanks.

I wrote today. Arts. It was my four Jamb combo.
60q in 50mins.

In English 20q, 15q lit in english, 15q in govt, 15q in crs

In English
Five of the questions were emphatic stress. I remember some of the words
- Some
- Wine
- Sometimes
About four questions in Antonyms
- unwittingly (I remember this one. I don't remember the other three, this was the first question we were asked in English)
Three questions in nearest in meanings
- invaluable
-unpertubable
I don't remember the last one
Five questions on Idioms, maybe even more. There was a lot of idioms.
Only two questions on consonants, the words were
1. Seize
2. Prestige

There was no comprehension. No filling the gap. No Concord. No infinite/past tense/past partciple.
I was surprised no comprehension.

In literature questions came from some of the books, poems and play
1. Theme of Native Son?
2. What signaled Ajumobi death in Lonely Days?
3. What is the panic of growing older about?
4. Which author work inspired Native son?
5. What type of novel is The Castle of Otranto?
6. What type of poem is The Pulley?
7. What type of poem has four lines? (past q)
8. A fourteen line poem is called? (past q)
Three was about three or four questions on figures of speech.

I was shocked to see no stated poem or prose that we were to read and answer. Just simply questions.

In govt
Which country operates written constitution (Past Q)
What years did Babangida rule Nigeria
Who is the head ruler in Yoruba Kingdom
_____ is the centrepiece of Nigeria's foreign policy? (past q)
Which colonial administration policy did the french use in West Africa? (past q)
In Bi-cameral legislature how many chambers?
In what year was the Kano riot? (past q)
Which of the below is a feature of representative government?
There was no question on Nationalism.

CRS
Who did they buy the field from to bury Jesus?
Why did the centurion say "truly this is the son of God"?
Why made the wall of Jericho come down?

Glory to God the exam was very easy, compared to how hard I thought it was going to be. It was God. As in, I am so happy. I finished early, but instead of submitting I decided to go through the questions and my answers again, that is why I remember some questions so vividly.

I have been so nervous, and with the rumours of maths. Thank God it was very good exam questions. And some of them were post UME past questions especially in govt.

Go and tell it to the students who travelled from other states states to write thier exam today. If people are frustrated you should know why.

I did my reg yesterday in one cyber cafe in UNIBEN. It started after 12:05, I was surprised to see UNIBEN charging 4,500. At first the system wasn't accepting payment, but after like 20 mins it started making the transaction.

Three SUG students came around after three ( it was very crowded and the staff of the place was doing the reg by who came first, my num on the list was 64).

The students told us that UNIBEN will drop the price to 3,500. That it is a mistake from thier system. That by later tomorrow it will be adjusted. They also warn the manager not to collect more than 1k. The staff were collecting 1500 from applicants who were using the mgr ATM card to pay.

Some people now left, hoping to save the 1k, some said they will do it tomorrow. I just wanted to get the whole thing over with so I paid the 4,500 when it came to my turn.

Since UNIBEN past questions didn't have answers I didn't download it. I bought one past question yesterday for Arts, with answers. Though it is very detailed with answering questions, I don't like the cover because the author just put Law pictures, as if they are the only one that will buy the past questions. I didn't see one that was exclusive for Eng Languge & Lit so I had to buy Arts.

Everything went well, except for the o level result, which I had to upload awaiting result for all the subjects. NECO is not yet out. Will NECO result be out before screening?

Also, I am wondering if UNIBEN will refund me the 1k extra they charged, when they rectify the issue in thier system. I filled in my bank account details in the reg, will they refund the money?

Will NECO result be out by September 13th? Since screening is to commence by Sep 14th to 25th.
