Leader of the Bring Back Our Girls group and former minister of education, Mrs. Oby Ezekwesili, has said that President Goodluck Jonathan does not deserve the hero tittle for accepting defeat in the just concluded presidential poll.

DAILY POST reports Jonathan, before the INEC chairman could announce the final result of last Saturday’s presidential election, had called General Buhari to congratulate him for winning the election.

Following his decision, many Nigerians have been praising the president for saving the entire nation from disaster.

However, Ezekwesili says if only Nigerians knew the extent of damage President Jonathan has done to Nigeria, they won’t hero worship him.

She took to her Twitter page on Thursday, to air her views on the recently held presidential election.

She tweeted: “When a review of President Jonathan’s administration is done, we’ll realize how much damage sycophancy did to governance. Example? Chibok Girls,” she wrote.

“A leader must be without an inordinate desire to be serenaded with ‘good news’ or their team will never let them know the true state of affairs.

“An environment that rewards sycophancy encourages team to withhold accurate ‘bad’ news (problems) from the leader while serving up ‘good news’.

” When a leader makes hero worshiping costly to those who engage in it, he/she deprives the ‘sellers’ market to set the ‘Mediocrity Benchmark.’

“A critical success factor in governance is for the leader to both in word and deed convey a culture that abhors sycophancy. No hero worshiping.”

It was a useless debate. I didn't blink. I was shocked as to where Goodluck was reading from. How come no one was reading. Sometimes you see the KOWA lady stuttering. It was a huge shame, the lady who asked Unovo a question asked the same question to Jonathan, but twisted the question to the Ibo man. What nonsense. That is stupid. Jonathan kept reading from some where and we couldn't understand why. Some of the questions he answered didn't even tally despite something placed in front of him. Can't you see why the media isn't making a fuss of GMB not being around. Because they clearly saw that this was all planned out. Nigeria will never change. The graft allegation against the Nigeria Election Debate Group (NEDG) has vindicated the All Progressives Congress' stance that the debate was compromised by President Goodluck Jonathan, the Muhammadu Buhari campaign organisation has said. The opposition campaign media and publicity director Malam Garba Shehu said the sordid details coming out of organizations of the debate would have tainted the APC candidate had he presented himself to the group.

A civil society group, Value and Integrity Group alleged at a press conference on Friday, that a First Bank account opened for the NEDG had the founder of a private television network as sole signatory, even though he is not listed as one of the directors of the NEDG. According to leaders of the Value and Integrity Group, Sina Odugbemi and Popoola Ajayi, co-ordinator and secretary respectively, “an initial deposit of N1 million was paid into the said First Bank account, and on March 28, 2011, another N20 million belonging to the NEDG was paid into the personal account of the said founder of the leading private television network.”

The Buhari campaign said “We at the APC Presidential Campaign got the eye-opening news of the press conference by the Value and Integrity Group accusing the Nigeria Election Debate Group, the crux of the allegation being that some members of the NEDG have been monetarily influenced.”It added that “although the group failed to mention from what source the monies came from, we had taken a position, based on intelligence made available to us that the PDP has compromised the integrity of an unnamed few in the NEDG with huge and ridiculous sums of money.”

“And watching President Goodluck Jonathan reading from a prepared script gleefully as he answered questions in the debate confirmed our suspicion that there will be “EXPO”. “These two scenarios: The allegation of corrupt inducements in the NEDG and the president reading from a prepared script during the debate validates our reasons for abstaining from the debate,” Shehu said.

Mr. InglishTeecher. I doubt you have any IT experience. How do u expect the device to connect to the internet without a media. U can only get to the internet via wire or wireless medium. If it has inbuilt Wi-Fi, then or is prone to frequency jammers be 2.4ghz or 5ghz or whatever. Every wireless communication device must have an inbuilt radio. Though I don't expect those device to work like the traditional pos systems u see over the counters. I expect the information to be cached in a storage memory inside each reader which will later be extracted by copying the information to a larger database manually rather than overtheair. If APC know there is a jammer technology that can be use to jam the card reader, why should we not believe they had also procure one to be use at states where they know pdp dominates? Most especially when they even know the amount they can acquire one? Now, how come they are not also agitating that the card reader should not be use unless of course, they had perfect their rigging plans on the use of card reader? The case of cloning the PVC accusations by DSS came into mind.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has accused President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) of planning to render card readers ineffective on election days through the use of jammers.

The party in a statement issued in Lagos yesterday by its National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed said the sinister move was geared towards justifying their fears about the use of the card readers and ultimately to scuttle the polls.

It said the PDP has placed an order for 75,000 pieces of the jammers at a cost of $200 per piece, bringing the total cost to $15 million, adding that the jammers will be air freighted to Nigeria next week.

APC said, “We can authoritatively inform Nigerians that the morbid fear of card readers by the Jonathan administration and the PDP has now been translated into concrete action: They have hired an Israeli, Gyora Berger, to do the dirty job of jamming the card readers.

“To those who might accuse us of crying wolf, they should realise that every alarm we have raised in the past has been true, including that the Jonathan administration was pushing for the postponement of the elections and that they are mortally afraid of the use of PVCs and card readers.”

The party added that the Israeli was hired specifically to develop three prototype card reader jammers, and he has now developed three of such jammers (25 metres, 50 metres and 100 metres range) to be carried in the pockets of trusted PDP stalwarts on election days with a view to disabling the card readers within the states.

The party said that apart from disabling the card readers, the jammers will also disable all telephones, iPads, etc within the states of those carrying them on their persons.

“The plan is to deploy the card jammers to the areas deemed to be the strongholds of the APC, such as the North-west, North-east, North-central and the South-west.

“It is the planned procurement of the jammers that has given the confidence to the administration and party officials to continuously boast that Buhari will never rule Nigeria, and also the reason why a chieftain of the PDP boasted last week that the card readers won’t work, thus advising INEC to make alternative arrangements,’’ APC said.

The party said the Israeli, who has agreed to do the dirty job for a desperate Jonathan Administration and the PDP, is an enemy of Nigeria and Nigerians, who does not mind if the nation burns, as long as he has collected his pay for the dirty job for which he has been hired.

It said because the opposition party has become a movement which is being propelled by the people themselves, it is difficult, if not impossible, for the Jonathan Administration and the PDP to succeed in their devilish intentions of rigging, sabotaging or scuttling the forthcoming polls.

’We have consistently said power resides in the people, irrespective of what the government of the day might think. When the people are determined to vote out any government, no amount of money, evil plots and shenanigans can save that government, as the Jonathan Administration will find out in two weeks,’’ APC said.

That is average of over 110 policemen withdrawn from each of the 20 Local Governments In Lagos

Don't know exactly what to call it; rude awakening or shocker of my life!! I stumbled on photocopies of my husband's pension's scheme form, Life Insurance form and will.

As I went through the forms, I saw that my I am not my husband's next of Kin or beneficiary!! His younger brother is!! It hurts to realise that for a house that Ђåvε̲ made more than 60percent contribution to, per adventure something happens tomorrow, I will be left at the mercy of my brother in laws!!!

2123 received instructions of president Jonathan visit to Lagos not that 2123 police will cluster round him. That is the way it works.
This is not even Fashola's problem, but Joseph Mbu that has just taken over at zone 2, bear in mind that such has not happen in Lagos for over 7 years now. Is Mbu competent enough to coordinate high demanding Lagos/Ogun policing network? Or is he here soley for election rigging and confrontations with Jonathan opponents?
