I can confirm that Petroleum Engineers who did medicals were called this last week. I don't know about other disciplines though, but looking at the thread here, some were called as well. Earth Scientists who had done medicals more than 12 months ago were also contacted to fill a medical update form earlier in the week. I reckon the recruitment has started to pick up steam. Historically it takes Chevron about 2-3 weeks to provide next steps/update.

Let's see what happens after Salah break.

I don’t know if this information is valid for all roles but my friend who applied for the Senior Facilities Engineer position has done interview, medicals and background check

ExxonMobil is currently operating two deepwater assets in Nigeria ( Erha and Usan) following the divestment of their shallow water assets to Seplat
They don't need much manpower to operate those deepwater assets. Maximum two Production Engineers for example,ably supported by a few technicians ,contract staff and service contractors can effectively man those assets

Na reservoir engineers/geo-scientist/drilling engineers get the plenty work there for these new investments, they would tie back to already existing facilities

This recruitment takes a different toll from last year's. Though I don't know the number of persons needed per role, the truth is that ExxonMobil needs personnels. Hence, the need for the many roles rolled out.

The recruitment is for their deep water operations facilities, Erha and Usan FPSOs. Quiet a number of persons would be needed as the work rotation is 21/21 days.

Not every role is rotation based, they have 1 engineer for each asset, speaking from experience. E.g only one machinery engineer covers Usan and Erha and its like that for most disciplines.

Note - I didnt say that one 1 person would be employed for each role, I only supported the fact that 4 for each role is far fetched.

Patrick, recruitment for IOCs like chevron is a lengthy process. Exxon recruitment in 2018/2019, the folks wrote the dragnet exam Nov/Dec of 2018 and resumed Sep - Dec 2019.

Doubting the interview invite wouldn't make it less true, the picture u saw on the post is from the Chevron portal and not his/her personal email. He logs in and picks a time suitable in the 3 day window.
