Lol, I have this thing...I'm not sure what to call it (an aura perhaps?) that makes people do & say weird things.
I cannot speak of social media experiences because I'm not big on that. However, I could write a book on the craziest things I've seen & heard in my waking life.

One time I was having a random conversation with a tattoo artist in my area. Out of the blue, he asked if I wanted to see his penìs tattoo & before I could grasp out a response, Jack was already out of the pulpit. It was just bizarre. I didn't find that particular incident annoying though. What I find annoying is the fact that people seem to feel (free?) enough around me to say & do inappropriate things. I'm not talking only about people I'm acquainted with (like the tattoo guy), but also random strangers I don't know from Adam. I've seem more penìses than a whòrehouse wench. Strangely enough, this didn't start now. We moved from my early childhood home because my father beat up a neighbour for exposing himself to me. I believe I was 8 or 9 at the time. It has happened so often that now I almost expect it & that's the annoying part of it.

This is so so so unfair to have start happening to you at such tender age as 9.

However, it could just be your own destiny.

A US Based Billionaire medical Doctor Hands Over Judiciary Complex

Governor Obiano of Anambra State has challenged successful Anambra people to join the State Government in the development of the State.

The Governor spoke through his Commissioner for Environment, Mr. Mike Okonkwo during the commissioning of a High Court complex in Umuchukwu built by an American based Medical doctor, Godwin Maduka.

He said this would reduce unemployment among the youths, restiveness among young people and other social vices in the society.

He commended Dr. Maduka for his continuous support to the development of the State, urging him not to rest in his oars.

The Chief Judge of the State, Justice Ijem Onwuamegbu, who described the complex as magnificent edifice, said they were more than eager to take over the High Court for the use of the people to ensure quick dispensation of justice for the ordinary man in the State.

According to her "we immensely want to thank and appreciate the donor, Dr Godwin Maduka, while I use this medium to call on other privileged sons and daughters of the state to emulate him in building such human oriented projects for the development of our dear state and Nigeria at large".

Dr Maduka, while handing over the High court to Anambra state Judiciary said "today will remain memorable in my life to see this dream come true".

He stressed that it has been his desire to put in place in his community those things that made the white people look down on the Africans.

He said one of such things included justice to the common man even as he recalled how his people used to travel as far as Ekwulobia, Onitsha and even Awka in search of justice.
Most times, he said, when the poor and the down trodden calculated the cost implications of seeking for justice, they naturally leave their fate in the hands of God.

He recalled that sometimes in 2010, he also built and handed over a Magistrate court to the State

The US based medical doctor said the construction of the judiciary building in his community was to bring justice nearer to the people

Also present at the occasion were the member representing Orumba South Constituency in Anambra State House of Assembly and about 14 traditional rulers from both Orumba North and South Local Government Areas.

The Court described as one of the bests in Nigeria with judge's residence are the first of its kind to be donated by an individual in Nigeria.
Maduka had equally in the past build Police Station and Civil Defence office in his community and other projects he has provided his people.

We are really facing hard reality in this country. But then, someone must always write things about why we have the problems we have no matter how lame the excuses seem.

This will not solve any of our problems.

I live in Lagos and I used to think this cyberfraud was a city thing, as many kids are easily adopting it as a culture all around.

But the last time I went home, I wept for how deeply enmeshed the youth are in cyberfraud. It was seen as an alternative should honest work fail to yield easy riches.
Even those who can't spell the name of the phone they operate are also into cybercrime..or so they claim.
Despite the number of honest elders that go before them, a depressing number of the youths have chosen to tow another path.
I refer back to my service year, where we battled to 'force' kids to abandon their means of 'livelihood' and attend secondary school. When some of them happened to come into the corpers' lodge while we were lamenting the job insecurity ahead. One of the visiting student asked what the aim was then, if they will get all these education and can't be comfortable from it.
On one of my visit home yesteryears, a suspected yahoo kid bought a new car, brought it to his family compound with two 'cartons' of beer and some interesting edibles to ask that elders bless his car and pray over him. The prayer and feasting that occured there and then, not one thought was raised over the source.
Religion plays a crucial role in how accepted a person is in Igboland. How many churches outrightly turn down and condemn whomever is well-known to be involved in such fraudulent dealings? Very few, if they are to succeed, as the church is somewhat political in dealings as well.

Until these key elements retrace their steps, it's going to be a terrible outing for us from the east. For as long as there is a comforting shoulder still at home for them to cry on, condemnation will have little or no effect.

Can you stop typing trash? Have you already accepted that crime dwells in the east and east alone? Crime, from whatever context, is wrong and should be condemned but it's sheer stupidity to try to promote the assumption that it is peculiar to the east because more than a double of whatever happens there are happening in yoruba land and other places in Nigeria.
