Note... Its always better to look for a working replacement board than to keep spending money to fix a faulty laptop board.
Laptop engineers can get you a working replacement board.

Hard reset.... 1. Turn off your laptop and Disconnect all external devices if any, Unplug the charger from the laptop, Remove the battery.
With the battery and charger removed , press and hold the Power button for about 20 seconds or more then release the power button, it will help to drain any residual electrical charge from the capacitors.

After that, connect charger and put the laptop on.
Most times the laptop will come back to life.

It DOESN'T work all the time.

The system does not boot to windows or Does not boot at all?

Have you tried a HARD RESET?


There are good laptop engineers at Ikeja computer Village though its always better if you know anyone there to help you make enquiries.

If you had delivered the laptop at the time I wanted, I wouldn't have budged on that but I lost my laptop and needed a quick fix immediately only for you to be playing childish games over money or the cosmetic condition of the laptop.

Try and be STRAIGHTFORWARD!!!.
Estimate is different from actual fee, I can give estimate based on my experience.
For bus drivers I can give actual waybill fee bc most of them has fixed prices for different states.

Go back to that thread you saw the laptop, Lenovo l430 and zoom the photo I posted for the laptop, look at the mouse pad very well you will see that small peel there.... Since now you have diverted to mouse pad not as clean as you want.

It's not as if I posted another photo and sent you a different laptop.

The laptop is foreign used and I always try to get clean ones.

We agreed at a price and you gave me the available options for expedite delivery of the item, we settled for GIG and I added 500 naira (which I shouldn't) to make sure you get the item to the park that day, you called the next day to my surprise, stating that you were at the pay point and started giving rooster stories on why you couldn't have done that the previous day. You still had to add another 500 naira to the waybill sum OF 4400 naira, making it 4900 but I SENT 5000 naira.

once the item arrived my location, you intentionally stopped picking my calls for close to three days, the more reason I had to call you out here.
I would stop here, I don't want to smear your market further, you know why you refused to pick my call - it's because you're dishonest.

If the mere 500 hundred naira which I sent to you willingly is the factor, you and I know deep down that if you had no ulterior motive, it should be a simple waive off.

That day I went to maza maza for waybills and there is Gigs office at festac very close to the peace mass maza maza office.

Most times I go to that maza maza with many laptops to different states,,,, to make it easier and faster for me,bc there are some states you won't see bus around Ojo.

This waybill of a thing, i am doing it always, I mean always, so I have seen different types of customers.

Note..... If I send 5 laptops 1 day, sometimes its only 1 or 2 people will call me to say they have received it, others tell me on WhatsApp.

Many customers do not call to say they have received.

There are people here outside Lagos that are buying 3, 2,4 units always and they don't even comment here provided the laptops are delivered and working perfect.

If you think anyone took your 500naira, you can also ask for refund of 500naira.

2 units of t420 laptops are with me now yet to send to Abeokuta since yesterday (rain disturbed the sending today also, they will be sent tomorrow morning) the customer is here on this forum too).

Some laptops sent during the inter state lockdown spent 10 days, 1 was mistakenly sent to Calabar instead of Uyo, then they had to send it to Uyo from Calabar again..... It took more than 1 week.

The one going to Aba, The bus was seized bc of lockdown, the buyer waited until they released the bus after over 1 week.

I believe if you are 1 of the customers, you will call me names here on nairaland.

You paid for a laptop, I sent it to you and you received it.
The only issue you are having is that you think I took your 500 naira.

More reason I do not like paying for waybills in Lagos, I prefer a customer to pay when the laptop arrives his or her location.






I believe you can track the gig logistics with your receipt to know which of their office it was sent from in Lagos.

At alaba international, containers move faster than even gigs logistics, containers move almost every night carrying goods.

People do not use gig logistics a lot because of the cost, and most times I send more than 3 laptops to 1 reseller outside Lagos ( most resellers do not use gigs, DHL, ups and other expensive ones bc they need to make profit.

Do not be deceived by what saw on the receipt.... I have many times saw 4500 on the receipt of ups after paying 5k, many of them do not write exactly the amount paid.

Come to my WhatsApp and see many receipts.

Some will add insurance money, some will add this and that but on the receipt you will see difference of 500 Naira, 800 Naira..... I do not know where those little ones that did not appear on the receipts will go to.

Pay for laptop and waybill or pay for laptop and pay the waybill fee at the point of collection... If its possible bc even some drivers won't take it if you don't pay them in Lagos.

Some drivers also quote high price when they arrive the destination, that's why most buyers prefer I pay it here so that they just go and pick it up when they arrives.

When I used DHL too during the lockdown, I noticed same thing even ups too.

They will tell you 6000 Naira,,,,, but on the receipt you will see around 5600 Naira total.

It's not new to me.
