Albarka Sukuya, a pastor, was detained by Plateau State police agents for allegedly staging his kidnapping on a number of occasions in order to demand money from his church members. The suspect also set a Mercedes Benz and a Toyota car on fire last week at the ECWA Bishara 3 Jenta Apata premises, claiming one of his senior pastors hates him. The Jenta Apata resident who is the suspect is accused of criminal conspiracy, self-kidnapping, and vandalism. The harmonised Mental Health Bill has been signed into law by the president, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retired). The Lunacy Act of 1958 will be replaced by the Bill, which was harmonised by the Senate and House of Representatives in 2021.
