In an interview with Brekete Family Show on Monday in the Federal Capital Territory of Abuja, Obi was asked if he would support the Biafran Republic as president. Obi replied, “I am a Nigerian.” Peter Obi, the Labour Party's nominee for president, has stated that his administration will not support the realization of Biafra, a persistent call for secession in South-East Nigeria.
