Earlier, we had notified the forum of a Justice competition organized by HiiL together with the Ford Foundation. Apparently, the competition is closed and now there's the pitching and the selecting of winners.

HiiL, in partnership with the Ford Foundation, is delighted to invite you to the Innovating Justice Boostcamp taking place in Lagos on 29 September 2016! This event will highlight this year’s semi-finalists for the HiiL SME Empowerment- and Family Justice Challenges.

The justice start-ups were carefully selected from more than 400 candidates from all over Africa. During the boostcamp, the entrepreneurs will pitch their justice innovation, after which the best will be selected and reviewed by a jury. During the boostcamp, the best innovations will be selected and reviewed by a jury, who will advise the selection of finalists who will pitch for the Innovating Justice Awards and acceleration funding worth over[b] € 160 000![/b]
The Innovating Justice Boostcamp will have key-note addresses followed by pitches, panel discussions and interactive working sessions that bring together the different worlds of entrepreneurs, investors, civil society, justice professionals and academia.
The selected start-ups in West Africa are from Nigeria, Ghana and Cote d'Ivoire

SME Empowerment Innovation Challenge for innovations addressing the legal and justice needs of SMEs in Africa. The winners will receive acceleration support and investment of up to 80,000EUR in total.

Family Justice Innovation Challenge focused on justice solutions for people dealing with transitions and problems within the family. The winners of this Challenge will also benefit from acceleration support and investment of up to 80,000EUR.
