You think Chinese business men/women love you more, until they destroy the Nigerian SMEs business and go back to their country while you and your people remain poor. Think why Europe is trying to regulate their cheap electric cars in European markets over their own. Every reasonable government will try to protect their own, and homegrown products. Just like Dangote said: it's only Africans that develop Africa. If a Nigerian make money he uses it to develop Nigeria, same can't be said of Chinese in Nigeria. There should be higher taxes for foreigners doing retail business in Nigeria, that's if Government not banning them completely, to protect Nigeria Small Scale Businesses. Think!

They have a point if you understand them. How can China be doing retail business in Nigeria? Do they want to end Nigeria SMEs and make our people poorer. There should be law to restrict them to only their wholesale and industrial-scale businesses.
Simple thing government needs to do is not resist them to wholesale and large-scale industrial businesses, then, put higher tax on foreigners to protect the locals.

Saudi produces 7.2 million barrels of oil per day with a population of 38.4 million people.

Iran produces 4.5 million barrels of oil per day with a population of 90million people.

Libya produces 1.4 million barrels of oil per day with population of 7million people.

Nigeria produces 1.7million barrels of oil per day with a population of over 250million people .

So, Nigeria is not an oil rich country but just an oil producing country. It would be very difficult for government to continue to subsidize refined petroleum products.
