The young girl pictured suffered burns after hot water was thrown at her body by her Madam in Rivers state. Narrating what happened, Facebook user Pinima Loveday Igenewari alleged that the woman poured the hot water on the little girl for allowing kerosene to dry up in the stove while cooking yam.

Her father was invited and has since taken her to the village. He is said not to be taking the case easily even though the woman has now been pleading.

Drake is loved by his female fans who would do anything to get all of his attention.

“You Never Stop Being A Mum”

There is nothing stronger than the love between a mother and her child, and this story is the perfect example of how strong this bond actually is. Ada Keating, 98, has joined her eldest son Tom, 80, in Moss View care home in Liverpool to look after him, and they get along perfectly fine.

Ada and her late husband Harry had four children – Tom, Barbara, Margi and Janet, who died at only 13. Before his retirement, Tom worked as a painter and decorator at HE Simm building services, then located on Prescot Road. Tom became a resident at Moss View in 2016 because he needed more support.

Ada and her son are inseparable and love spending time together – especially playing games and watching Emmerdale. “I say goodnight to Tom in his room every night and I’ll go and say good morning to him,” Ada, a former auxiliary nurse, said. “When I go out to the hairdressers he’ll look for me to see when I’m coming back. When I get back he’ll come to me with his arms outstretched and give me a big hug.”

Tom is happy with how things are going as well. “They’re very good here and I’m happy to see my mum more now she lives here. She’s very good at looking after me. Sometimes she’ll say ‘Behave yourself!'”

“It’s very touching to see the close relationship both Tom and Ada share and we are so pleased we were able to accommodate both of their needs,” manager of the facility, Philip Daniels, said. “It’s very rare to see mothers and their children together in the same care home and we certainly want to make their time together as special as possible.”

As Ada said, “You never stop being a mum.”

A lady, Annabel Fred took to Facebook to narrate how she and a friend were beaten up and robbed of their belonging at gunpoint by a one-chance driver who claimed to be the Uber driver they requested for. Read her story below

Yesterday I and my friend went to the shoprite to get somethings, when we finished, we came out and ordered for uber' ( it showed 10mins to arrive) so we waited for the uber arrival''' finally a taxi(Acura MDX)stopped in front of us ' then I asked if he was the uber we ordered? Then we both entered and i asked him to start the trip: he then said ok and drive off, he drove for sometime then slowed down' when we asked y the slow down, this car is having issues ma; let me check :: he said( pls my money is reading o I told him) sorry ma we not on surg, he replied,I then said ok o,As he stopped, another guy quickly entered the car then the driver doomed off immediately-- sharply i even tried to open the door and run ; but all to no avail then i realised we were in big troubled ::: my friend started shouting and crying- then one of guys came to the back seat held her neck so hard that she couldn't even scream: then they asked me to give them my phones ( I left my phones at home I told them) the other guy used his gun to hit my eye( he brought out a small knife, pepper spray, and small axe). He asked for the second time ' where is your phone? I see 2 phones for your hand , where them dey?then I had no choice than to give him my phones when i saw blood dropping, he started beating us and asked his friend to give him that handkerchief ( but the guy driving said his spirit doesn't want him to harm us) but he should collect everything from us: so they collected the things we bought @ the shoprite, they took my friend's phones and mine too, her waist watch, my neck chain, our handbags, asked for our atm cards and tnk God none of us came out with it, they searched us and collected the cash we had on us' they even collected my friend's earrings?-- then dumped us on a lonely part: A good Samaritan gave us 1500 to transport bk home we told him what happened-- I just had to share this so we can be very careful this period:::the mistake we made was : not calling the uber number to confirm if truly he was the person: I just want all of you thank God for me o. Corporal David Napoleon, a police officer attached to the Department of Operations at the Bayelsa State Police Command shot and killed a Senior Secondary School Student identified as Joseph Tomizibe on Thursday, October 26.

The incident which happened in Kpansia community, sparked protest with residents blocking the road and causing traffic gridlock along the busy Yenagoa-Mbiama road. The policeman was said to have been arrested, disarmed and detained for further investigations.
But the intervention of Yenagoa Caretaker Committee Chairman, Oforji Oboku, calmed frayed nerves and stopped the angry residents from attacking a traffic policeman in the area.

Spokesperson for the command, Mr. Asinim Butswat, who confirmed the incident said the victim was 18 years and was shot when the policeman was trying to escape from being attacked by irate boys and suspected cultists in the area.


"The incident occurred at about 10pm on Thursday after six armed cultists invaded the home of Corporal David Napoleon at Kpansia area of the state capital," he said.

The suspect and armed cultists tore the window net and gain entrance into the house. The officer, who was home with his family, ran after the hoodlums and arrested one Stephen Ayama, male, 16 years and a member of the Greenlander cult group. He was handed over to the State Security outfit known as Door Akpo.

When he was coming back to his house with a plan to move his family out to a safer place, some suspected cultists and indigenes of the community went after him to attack him. He ran but was chased by the irate youths. He turned and shot ?at them below the knee level. The bullet hit one Tombozide Joseph, 18 years, on the thigh. He was rushed to the Federal Medical Centre.?


However, the Central Zone leadership of the Ijaw Youths Council (IYC) faulted the claims of the police.

The Zonal Chairman of IYC, Mr. Tare Porri, who visited the deceased family, said his interactions with members of the family showed the victim was 13 years old. Narrating how the incident happened, he said:

After consulting with the police and family of the deceased boy, it is clear that the deceased is 13 years old. He and the killer policeman were neighbours.

Eyewitnesses said the policeman shot twice from the kitchen to scare some suspected cultists trying to gain entry. When he came out, he saw that the boys were still around. There was an argument and when one of the boys called others on phone, the policeman shot at knee level but the bullet hit the deceased on the thigh.

Eyewitnesses and the Investigating officer confirmed to us that the boy was not a cultist. He was just witnessing the argument. I call on the State Commissioner of Police to investigate the incident and come out with a clear report to avoid a reprisal attack against security agents. Repraisal can happen when such cases are not properly investigated. Kpansia is a safe community and must be made to remain so.? said Mr. Tare Porri.

A family of five, including an unborn baby, have died after consuming a meal made with the Ewedu vegetable, or known as Jute in the northern parts of Nigeria.

Ex-police inspector Peter Dauda, 43, his pregnant wife Dorothy, 35, their son Godwin, 9, and daughter Patience, 6, all ate their meal prepared with jute one night and went to bed. The unused portion of the jute was spread on a container overnight. The following day, they used the remaining jute to prepare a fresh pot of soup which they ate that night, but shortly after the meal, they all began to complain of stomach ache. They were rushed to the hospital where they all died one after the other.

The two dogs belonging to the family also died after eating the meal, Sunday Sun reports. The incident shocked residents of the Dushai village along the Kagoro-Manchok road, in Kaura Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

Narrating the sad incident, President of Dushai Community Development Association, Mr. Daniel Duniya Bosan said: "The family had prepared and eaten the jute leaves in the evening of Wednesday, September 6, 2017 and went to bed without any problem. But the remaining leaves were spread on a container and preserved for consumption the following day. Trouble started on Thursday, September 7, shortly after they had eaten the vegetable soup. All the family members started complaining of stomach aches the following day, which was Friday, and neighbours rushed them to a nearby hospital. The jute leaves was suspected to have been laced with a poisonous substance by unknown persons. The first family member to die was their six-year-old daughter, Patience, who gave up the same Friday, while Dorothy, Godwin, and their father, Inspector Dauda, died on Saturday, September 9."

Kaduna State Deputy Governor Barnabas Bantex paid a condolence visit to the community. While in the community, Bantex appealed for calm, particularly from the youths and urged them to shun any rumor relating to the death of members of the family.

He said: "I am appealing to you to shun any rumor relating to the death of this family members because such rumor is capable of escalating the already charged atmosphere in your community."

Anglican Bishop of Kafanchan Diocese, Reverend Markus Dogo also condoled the community and appealed to the people, "to commit everything to God and continue in fervent prayers for God to avert such incident in future."

A popular Kano based Catholic priest Father Gospel .J. Inalegwu, has quit the Catholic Church

The Benue born priest, who was ordained in 2013, was kidnapped last year at his parish at St Joseph Catholic Church, Jitan – Dutse, in Tudun Wada Local Government Council, Kano State.

According to Sunday Sun, Father Gospel .J. Inalegwu had since tendered his resignation letter to the Bishop of Kano Diocese, Most Rev. John Namawzah Niyiring and had traveled out of the state with all his belongings.

A priest of the Catholic Church who decried his action, said the Church was yet to recover from the shock of his unprecedented action.

He suggested that the priest might have been affected by the trauma of his abduction, adding however that, “there could be other personal reasons behind his action”.

Sunday Sun gathered that after the priest regained freedom, he was granted a period of rest, but was eventually asked to resume at his old parish contrary to his expectation, as Sunday Sun learnt that he had anticipated to be posted elsewhere.

The Communications Director, Kano Diocese, Father Augustine Nnadi declined comment on the development, but His Lordship, the Bishop of Kano Diocese, Most Rev. John Namawzah Niyiring told Sunday Sun that, “Priests do not resign as they do in the public service, but are laicized”

While confirming that Father Inalegwu was no longer available for his pastoral assignments in the diocese, he maintained that the only authority that could process the request of a priest wishing to return to a lay status was the Holy Father, the Pope. Asked if he had tried to talk to the priest, he replied:

“Yes I did that. I had some discussions with him to try to persuade him not to do what he is doing. I think he probably wants something else.”

The Bishop debunked insinuations that the priest’s action was informed by his abduction experience.

“Long before his kidnap saga, he had voiced out his desire to do what he did. And we have a record of that” he said.
