Anyone who knows her should please tell this unique lady to take the SAT or the ACT; and two SAT Subject Tests: one in math (level 1 or 2), and one in science (physics, chemistry, or biology e/m). She might need to write TOEFL too.
I am sure she will ace all of these exams.
Funding should be her least problem, there are lots of funding available to exceptional students.
I wish her all the best.
EducationNigerian Student Wins Prestigious International Fellowship In Canada by IntEduServices(op):
International fellowship supports PhD candidate's search for math solutions to energy puzzle

Babatunde Odetayo hopes to improve access to reliable energy networks in developing countries.

Help people all over the world have access to reliable and renewable electricity — and do it using math. That is what Babatunde Odetayo aims to accomplish with his innovative research. The Schulich School of Engineering grad student is developing modelling tools that can be used for integrated planning of natural gas and electricity distribution systems.

“The goal of my research is to develop modelling tools that can be employed to optimize the location and size of natural gas-fired generators and natural gas supply infrastructures,” says Odetayo, a PhD candidate in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and part of the Energy Systems and Control Group.

Long-term planning for reliable and sustainable electricity delivery
Odetayo, who obtained a B.Tech from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, in Ogbomosho, Nigeria and an MSc from the University of Nottingham, in the United Kingdom, is researching how to use mathematical optimization to demonstrate the advantages of using an integrated approach to long-term planning for natural gas and electricity systems. His research has earned him a prestigious Werner Graupe International Fellowship, a $75,000 scholarship awarded to only two students in Canada this year — both from the Schulich School of Engineering. The other recipient, Amjad El-Qanni, is in the chemical engineering department.

“My research aims at employing mathematical concepts such as optimization theory to enhance access, globally, to safe and reliable electricity networks,” says Odetayo. “I am convinced an integrated approach to planning both systems will increase the overall system efficiency and reliability.”

An integrated planning approach to energy distribution will ensure that natural gas can be used as an effective bridging fuel as electricity providers transition to clean and renewable energy resources and compensate for the intermittencies of the renewable energy system.
Improving lives through access to electricity
“Natural gas-fired electricity generation presents a huge opportunity in the path to a renewable and sustainable electricity provision for all, especially in developing economies where access to funds, weak physical infrastructure and market inefficiencies remain a challenge,” says Odetayo.

Odetayo’s interest in energy technology began in high school when a promising teacher died during a routine surgery due, in part, to a power outage. He has spent his career demonstrating how technology and access to electricity can improve lives.

“I believe access to electricity is central to improving the social and economic development of people across the world and I wanted to contribute toward bridging the gap between electricity demand and supply,” says Odetayo.

“Babatunde’s research is in making power and gas distribution systems planning in such countries [as his home country, Nigeria] more resilient and efficient. This is important in order to make those energy services available to more people,” says Hamidreza Zareipour, professor in the electrical and computer engineering department and member of the Energy Systems and Control group. “This award is, beside other things, a recognition of Babatunde’s desire to make a difference in his country through scientific research.”

The Energy Systems and Control group works to address the challenges of the electric power industry, including planning, operational and economic perspectives.

EducationRe: I Applied For MSc But Foreign Supervisor Said School Is Accepting Me For PhD by IntEduServices: 10:33pm On May 04, 2016
virtually all graduate studies in Canada especially in Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) comes with Research Assistance (RA) and you will also be eligible to get Teaching Assistant (TA). These two sources of funding should cover your tuition and living expenses and you should have like $200-$400 extra depending on the city you live in. You are also eligible to work 20hrs per week outside the University.

Who says Ph.D is free anywhere? Even to the citizens, it's not free when not scholarship and Canadian citizenship is not everything. Oga Team16; I would advice you to look at it in many ways, you have a bright future nd please don't restrict urself with today's offer for Ph.D to tomorrow future. Look at it in a way that you are fighting a highly competitive post and there are lot of guru's like urself, don't you think the easiest way to choose the best of the guru's is thru their certs, guru's that have masters have upper hands to you that jumped it. Please follow your heart. Your supervisor is not God regardless of the certs he/she bagged.
EducationRe: I Applied For MSc But Foreign Supervisor Said School Is Accepting Me For PhD by IntEduServices:
Please accept the offer.

Most professors don’t like investing in masters students. The return on investment is not that great from a research perspective as they usually graduate about the time they are supposed to start providing good return on investment.

PhD is usually 4 years as compared to two years masters. Course requirement for master is usually 4 grad level courses for masters and two for PhD in Canada. However, this depends on your supervisor. Essentially the courses are the same for both masters and PhD. The only difference is the time you spend doing research. While you spend around 1 year for MSc you usually spend 3 years for PhD research. From a research point of view, one PhD provides more research value than two MSc’s. I believe you can see why your supervisor offered a PhD instead of MSc.

Two things required to succeed in PhD are: Motivation and Patience/Persistence. You sound motivated so you should be good.

Once you have your PhD nobody cares about MSc. It’s like asking a medical Dr. for his WAEC result .

Also, virtually all graduate studies in Canada come’s with Research Assistance (RA) and you will also be eligible to get Teaching Assistant (TA). These two sources of funding should cover your tuition and living expenses and you should have like $200-$400 extra depending on the city you live in. Since your long-term goal is a PhD, I do not see any reason not to accept the offer.

Reply the professor and let him know you are excited about the offer and you can’t wait to join his research team.

Congratulations and the entire best sir.
EducationSteps To Getting Into Graduate School Abroad With Funding by IntEduServices(op):
1. Carry out a comprehensive search of Universities base on your choice of country, state/province, and course of study, CGPA, standardized test scores, and tuition fee payment abilities. You can utilize a combination of international and national universities rankings, student experience review, industry reviews to ensure you get the best graduate school experience.

2. GCPA conversion: Do an unofficial conversion of your CGPA from scale 5.0 GPA to the North American 4.0 scale. This will help you determine schools to apply to.

3. Write a convincing research motivation letter/cover letter/statement of purpose based on current and future research trajectories, and government policies in your area of interest.

4. Prepare a good application and avoid common application mistakes. This is central to getting admitted.

5. Get a high score in the standardized exams such as GRE and TOEFL.

6. Search through the numerous funding opportunities available and apply.

7. Get research assistant positions by preparing a customized and convincing application for research assistantship to professors in your choice of schools.
