The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has banned Ejikeme Joy Mmesome from writing its Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) for three years over alleged forgery of her 2023 result.

The board also withdrew Mmesoma’s 2023 result which has stirred controversy. JAMB in a statement Tuesday morning insisted that Mmesoma forged the result, stating that it had stopped issuing Notification of Result slips after the 2021 UTME due to falsification of results.

Mmesoma had in viral video on Monday, said she is “traumatized” by the allegation against her, maintaining that she printed her results from JAMB portal.

In its statement on Tuesday, JAMB stated that “its system was neither tampered with nor compromised as the candidate simply falsified a copy of a result slip of a candidate named ‘Asimiyu Mariam Omobolanle,’ who sat the UTME in 2021 and scored 138.”
