That was how I introduced this church member of mine to my colleague and all she did was beg him for money for hair, money for keeps, dinner etc. Until the guy gently walked away from her, found a decent gurl and had his traditional marriage last week Saturday.
The other guy I also tried to match her up to, recognized her and said he sees her at CMS waiting for a lift rather than take a bus to work in d mornings. The very first day she also met him in my house, even in d rain she requested to be taken to a nearby pepper soup joint. I WAS SO SO ASHAMMED
The idiot gurl wants to come to my house and spend d weekend and I have been avoiding her cos I am upset with her and embarrassed.

Planning on when I will seat her down and tell her why those guys walked away without asking her for even sex. because they are decent and does not need such girl around them. She is even lucky they are focused.
She feels being slim and fair will give her a man. Her life style won't!!! Never!!!

Awww, Mr. Charis thanks for the blandiloquence, it's an honour to be part of this one big amazing family on NL. I'm hoping as this year draws closer everyone of us must have attain the heights they envisaged when it commenced and that next year would be an even better year with loads of success.

Nairaland has been a great part of this year, very educative, inspiring and accommodating. I can't imagine how my year would have been humdrum without this forum, it's been refreshing. I'm looking forward to a better year with much accomplishment and my wish is for everyone to accomplish their heart desires.

Just like my stance on religion, I'm not against the sacred union of marriage and have an even stronger reservation against the idea or a world where the union would be non-existing. Just like everyone else, I do hope to get married someday and I'm looking forward to it. But I'm for a robust dialogue on why I think the institution is failing and not a 'must-do' like most people want us believe. I think in isolation and not what the bandwagon brigade subscribe to and we can always disagree to agree. Nuff said.

It's the last month of the year and everyone can perceive that joyful season of Christmas and excitement about a new year. As the curtain of 2015 is gradually rolling away, it's important that we look back and ponder on the life we've lived in 2015, notice where we missed some steps and learn from our mistakes (if any).

However, it is important that we wind up the year with a note of thanksgiving. It doesn't only refresh your soul, it also energizes you to do and achieve more. On this note, I open the floor for our 2015 thanksgiving thread.

I'm thankful first and foremost for life. There were instances where I would have been ran over by a car on top speed but I was kept safe. Thank you Jesus. I'm grateful for me,for what God has done through my life, for been able to be a blessing to others both emotionally, financially, spiritually and otherwise.

I'm grateful for ideas God has given me for businesses, even though I haven't been able to meet some target I set for myself, I'm grateful because I'm not just left at the mercy of the dwindling economy. I am making progress.

I'm grateful for my family. Words can't express how grateful I am. I simply have the best family around me.

I see friends as special gifts from God. Not just an acquaintance but a friend indeed. I'm grateful for all my friends outside nairaland. Mentioning their names will be unnecessary. We've been through a lot together this year alone but we came out strong. They were there to correct me at instances where I was about taking a wrong step. They are very few but they are awesome!

To my nairaland friends
I'm grateful for people like dearpreye whose posts at a time helped rekindle the entrepreneurial fire within me.
There's this friend I have here. We've quarreled and settled a few times. Lots of love for you Deejavuu. I appreciate our friendship.

Then, there's this big head called Sleekyshuga. This one is a trouble maker. I appreciate your troubles

Ronald4lif - Hmmmm his command of the Anglo lingua makes me doubt if I offered English language in secondary school. Most of his comments are inspiring and brilliant ((I don't agree with some comments he makes as per religion and marriage though. ) but he's ma nigga .

Kachisbarbie - There's a picture of her I have in my heart which was carved out by her comments on here. Girl is simply adorable.

I could go on and on but I'll stop here so this post would be as 'brief' as possible.

Finally, I'm thankful for the new year. I'm eagerly waiting for it because I see it as another opportunity to get it right. I see 2016 as a plain slate given to me and I'm sure going to write good, inspiring words on it. It's an opportunity to right the wrongs of 2015
