the boerboel breeders in south Africa got lucky... they didn't really really work so hard... bull mastiff from settlers breed with the local dogs and viola... it breed true... it doesn't work that way all the time... that's why breeders breed... if your experiment breed true... you have hammer...

Did the temperament of bull terrier stop people from breeding them...? And the bull terrier is a mix of Old English Bulldog & Old English Terrier... and the bull terrier breed pure... same as the boerboel... if people don't cross them... most dogs wouldn't be in existence today... the boerboel... the pitbull... the bull terrier... the Dogo Argentino... the list goes on... and if you ask me why people cross is to actually breed out disease... make the dogs stronger... too much in-breeding and diseases are passed down the genes... I'll put up a pix of a bull terrier and a Gerberian Shepsky...

well,when i say traces,i don't mean genetics,am referring to their looks because Siberian husky are somtims refers as wolfdogs,i am wondering if missing a GSD and A Siberian husky(gerberian shepsky) will come out good because of these reasons
1.the GSD is family dog which functions as a security dog too,protects its family very well while a Siberian husky welcomes strangers even intruders.
2.GSD is very easy to train cos it obeys obedient command while husky is very difficult to train.
3.siberian husky are escape artists,they usually escape from homes given any slightest opportunity,it is advised that ur house must be fence b/f acquiring husky,ur gate must be closed always while GSD will stay forever with u ones that friendship has been established.

from these three points ,do you think missing A GSD and SIBERIAN HUSKY is ideal.

No no... it has no wolf traits... it's a mix between a gsd and a Siberian husky... and it doesn't breed pure yet... when you mate them with a gsd... they go back to being a gsd... and when you mate them with a husky... they go back to being a husky... they don't breed pure yet... and as per temperament... they have temperaments of both dogs.... Most of the time... balanced...
