bunbit23:For educational purpose Ezumezu Arobunagwu/Arobinagwu/Arobinagu/Agwu means all the collective spirits of that Agwu. It's not Agwu from Ikwunne and Ikwunna. Arobinagu is a collective spirits, it comes together with Water spirits, Ndi Ichie, Akpu, Ogwugwu and Ana na Ajana of that particular land it emanates---mostly, from your Ikwunne maternal home. Arobinagu is also referred to as Aro-nnewanyi or Aro-Chukwu, just as many Igbo Gods, it's usually imagined and pictured to be a female goddess with her Python, big fish or any animal. Because, in Igbo culture, they believe a mother/woman came first on earth before a Man and a mother can take care of her children more than a man, just take a look at how a fowl takes care of her chickens etc.

kenny714433:Onitsha South is mostly a business hub, so there are little or no trees in that region, but you can expect a touch of aesthetics in other regions. Although the current gov. of Anambra state has shared coconut plants for every household in Onitsha so everything takes time. |
Unbiased1:Dude! You're not making sense, try to understand the main point before diving into conclusion. I'm not here to ferment unnecessary argument. |
Shikena:I don't hate Yoruba, don't deviate from the main point because I don't have time for much talk okay. |
Shikena:inferiority complex made you to spend hours on Anambra state thread only for the mention of Lagos(no man's land) please, go and develop other chocolate roof village kingdoms of Ibadan, Osun, Ilorin, Ogbomosho, Ogun & Ekiti etc.. These places are eyesore to Nigerians. |
Shikena:What will you gain by claiming Lagos state only on social media, meanwhile in reality you are neither a Lagos residence nor even an indigene of Lagos. Grow up man. |
Shikena:That wouldn't change the fact that your Lagos is a no man's land. |
Shikena:That's because we don't rig elections, Peter Obi already made it clear to Nigerians that he doesn't give "Shi shi". Say no to bad government. |
Shikena:Yes, you won by rigging the same way you made your way into presidential seat! And messed up Nigerian economy. Congrats. But we own Lagos & Abuja same as other states in Nigeria. |
Shikena:Warming up for 2027. Cry Nairaland a river, Lagos is a no man's land. |
Shikena:Then don't envy Igbos in Lagos state or any other place in Nigeria, because Lagos & Abuja or any place in Nigeria is still a no man's land. |
Shikena:Yes, you can become the Governor of Anambra state, I got your back too. |
Shikena:First of all, you've to become a residence of Lagos state, dude you didn't sound as one. |
Shikena:Every citizen of Nigeria born in Lagos state can be able to become the Governor of Lagos state, provided that free and fair election is being held into consideration. |
Shikena:Brother, keep short if you don't have anything reasonable to say, you cannot go against the rule of law with your ethnic identity bla bla blah! Since federal government of Nigeria leased Lagos International Trade Fair to Nd'Igbo for 100 years, Lagos ethnic sh!t does not have the power to claim the market from Ndi Igbo, even the Lagos state government can't do that because the agreement was made between Ndi Igbo and the Federal government of Nigeria, when Lagos state was the Capital of Nigeria. And the agreement is renewable after 100 years. So Lagos state government must wait after 100 years when the agreement has already elapsed. Your ethnic identity and awareness is just another form of tribalism it has no power over the rule of law. FYI, hatred and tribalism is forbidden in Nigeria, hence the case of One Nigeria. As far as Nigeria is concerned Lagos & Abuja or any place in Nigeria belongs to Nd'Igbo too. |
Imagine all these Umu-Yoruba sef! So Eastern resources is made for one Nigeria but the same Easterners cannot claim ownership of Lagos & Abuja or any place in Nigeria, you're a great jokers of all time. |
Shikena:This reasoning just spewed out from a self acclaimed civilised dude! As long as One Nigeria is concerned, every citizen of Nigeria has a right to claim any place S/he domiciled. If you don't like that Constitution, you can as well request for disintegration of Nigeria. |
Shikena:You're speaking from both sides of your mouth, hence trying to deviate from the main point, is South Africa also part of One Nigeria? The case of South Africa is clearly xenophobic. The problem we have in Nigeria is tribalism, of which you know the Igbos are accommodating in nature that they don't have any utter of tribalism in their blood. In reality, every Nigerian has a right to own a property in any part of the country. So we've the right to claim any place in Nigeria. Free yourself from hatred and tribalism, at the other hand, we still call our brothers attention to industrialise our regions. |
Shikena:You're right brother, You see!! Truth is bitter, that's why Nd'Igbo call Lagos a no man's land. |
Shikena:Ignoramus, this clearly shows you never been to Lagos International Trade Fair or never stepped foot to Lagos, hence I don't have to quote your ignorance. No any Lagos residence can deny the fact that Nd'Igbo controls 90 percent of major markets in Lagos. Go and verify. |
Anybody can easily twist history just to disregard Ndi Igbo their priorities, when it comes to business in Africa as a whole leave it for Nd'Igbo. Ndi Igbo brought the idea of "Lagos International Trade Fair" that's situated along Badagary expressway, Amuwo Odofin. And it was being leased by Federal government of Nigeria to Ndi Igbo for 100 years. The market is being managed and owned by Nd'Igbo including Igbo task force and president till date. Never heard of any O'dua's Investment activity in Trade fair. Yes, Lagos Chamber of Commerce & Industry will be part of the agreement but the brain behind that Market is Nd'Igbo. The largest international market being built in Port-Novo, Republic of Benin, is owned by businessmen from Abia and Anambra, does it mean the the government of the Republic of Benin should not be part of the deal ? Shikena: |
Unbiased1:FYI, Lagos still buy market from Onitsha & clothings from Aba to sale in Lagos. Onitsha goods tends to be quiet more cheaper compared to Lagos. The greatest mistake Nd'Igbo did in Lagos was building "Lagos International Trade Fair" I overheard that Ndi Igbo brought the idea and developed the place. But we can still bounce back, there's a saying in Igboland which translate to "Okoro adighi akari onye koro ya" there's a plan to move Ladipo & ASPMDA market to Umueri International market, Alaba market and Ikeja to Oraifite etc.. It's Ndi Igbo that brought the ideas of these markets and the same Nd'Igbo will definitely determine where it will stay next. We can make our regions more viable, Anambra state has more indigenous clusters of industries than Lagos, Onitsha harbour industrial layout is the largest industrial estates in Nigeria. There are so many industries in Anambra State, I know many Anambra products that are being sold in Lagos, but the problem here is Nigeria export strategy is poor which is caused by selfish government because you've to bring your goods to Apapa Lagos for exportation. We still have to invest more on our land. |
legitnow1:My brother, thanks for this great eye opening. They loot resources in Igboland and call it a barren land. They closed the Seaport of Calabar, Port Harcourt, Akwa Ibom, Warri & Onitsha River port and make Lagos Seaport functioning, why won't Lagos be more viable? They increased custom duty charges and banned some goods from entering the country, meanwhile, Northerners are busy importing cows and goat from Chad, Niger and Cameroon to Maiduguri, Katsina and Yola....only for 'em to sale these foreign animals to Eastern and Western regions of Nigeria. Ndi Igbo have to wise up!! |
MaziObinnaokija:And that HERO BEER (not just that product, Beta malt, Grand malt and Budweiser) generates good revenue for the state, more than any other investment in Nigeria because it is partially owned by Anambra state government (the state government owned 10% stake in the brewery). In conclusion, Peter Obi made a wise investment by staking $50 million dollars of the state funds in Intafact Beverages Limited. |
TruthsFM:Hmm! Who's Dahiru Mangal, which business/company does he owns before building the cement plant, where does he get the lump sum of $1.5 billion from? Which products does he manufacture in Nigeria before setting up this project if there's any? Saynotobad government, Saynoto business monopoly, Saynoto APC and their tribulations, Saynoto Dangote and likes. A minimum wage earner in Nigeria can't afford a bag of Rice neither will S/he afford 3 square meals, transportation talk more of good apartment in Nigeria. Common importers can't grow their wealth anymore because of naira deflation. Industrialists are really battling with high cost of production, high taxes, lack of electricity, poor road networking system and maintenance etc. I suggest our government should give us an enabling environment for industrial activities to strive very well, it could be more better. In reality, Dahiru Mangal is licence to acquired a cement plant so he can sale to Nigerians as usual just like other monopolised licensed cement business men with a little or no export rate to the neighbouring countries. Now, how can a product manufactured in Nigeria and sale to Nigeria increase our economic growth? |
onuman:Can you just look at your lies on the Bolded...it's just like saying there's no difference in Urban development between Nsuka and Enugu city(the old capital of Anambra state) when Enugu state was created. Despite Housing a federal University, Nsuka has forever been a typical village and is now a village compared to Enugu city, likewise Orlu to Owerri. I once discussed with one of my Nsuka friend and he complained on how...I guess, current Gov. Enugu state neglecting his hometown(Nsuka) from modern development to Enugu city despite coming from Nsuka, the same thing applies in Imo state. Every city has its roadmap to development and the roadmap must be maintained. Nobody from Orlu zone has an industry that employs up to 100 people in Imo state. We already know the real owners of money in Igboland, we don't dignify audio billionaires unlike Orlu folks. Owerri has the likes of Kelechi Iheanacho, Kanu Nwanko which there glory 's being felt by Super Eagles and Africa at large, but you cannot said so to Orlu. Meanwhile, we can go to Imo state thread to discuss more. |

Mmm, really...? So you're actually claiming to be an Oil producing region in Imo state just to defraud some of the Anambra South communities that forever detested and rejected to be part of the proposed Orlu state.. For the best of my knowledge, the major Oil producing region in Imo state is Ohaji/Egbema. Ohaji is under Owerri zone not Orlu. Do you think Owerri will release Ohaji for Orlu state if your mere imaginable Orlu state happens to come to an existence which will never work. The representatives of Ozubulu, Ihiala LGA, Umunze, Uga, Umuchu, Ohaji(Imo) and the Abians communities have forever rejected to be part of Orlu state. |
onuman:Lagos Island has 2 functioning Seaport in her region Apapa and Lekki(old & new), other regions do not complain about it. Onitsha has dragged the Anambra International Cargo Airport to Onitsha region, and it's being referred to Onitsha Airport. So why do you think federal and state establishments that induce modern development will be located outside Owerri zone the capital city of Imo state? Have you ever seen any region or town in Rivers state complained over marginalisation by Port Harcourt city? |
onuman:"You keep repeating the same thing and playing dumb to not understand my points". The roadmap development of Imo state started during British colonialism for Eastern region, Nigeria, which passes down to the present Imo state. The roadmap was not publicly and jointly drawn up by people from Orlu and Okigwe senatorial districts, rather it was done by the past ruling power which were not even from any of these zones you mentioned nor even native of Nigeria. There's no city in Lagos state that's more developed and viable than Lagos Island. Lagos Island was strategically planned to be the economic powerhouse of Lagos state and Western region the same way Onitsha was planned to be the economic powerhouse of Anambra state and Eastern region. The same people that made Hausa Fulani to become the ruling class in Nigeria thereby making other regions to cry over marginalisation. Now, ask yourself if this ruling class are more educated, more intelligent, more rich and industrious than the Igbo people. All these were planned by the colonial masters, it's not by the opinion of any of the indigenes of the States, thus, the opinion of an earthworm doesn't concern a python. You can't cry over the scars is permanent. Orlu state is a dead on arrival...it will never work. |
onuman:I based my assertion on the roadmap development of Imo State which is centered to Owerri zone. Owerri zone is not greedy, blame the people who made the roadmap instead. Look, there's already a roadmap development of Imo state, every state in Nigeria has it's roadmap development. It's not about handling the gubernatorial seats, or being a state capital. That's why the economy of Awka will never surpass that of Onitsha or Nnewi city. I recently discussed with some good business oriented brothers from Awka about setting up an industry in Awka, they all complained about how the industrial activities in Awka is not viable compared to other big cities in Anambra state, this is simply a handiwork of roadmap development of a state. There's no city in the United States that will host more multi millionaires than New York City. |
onuman:You quoted all federal and state institutions and parastatals that are supposed to be spread all over the state to induce human and economic development to all over Imo state, were all located in Owerri senatorial district during the military era. First of all, you need to understand the roadmap development of Imo state very well before making a blind assertion! Even the Owerri city is not livable and viable for human habitants unlike other cities like Port-Harcourt, Kaduna, Lagos & Onitsha. I guess, your argument is based on the population of students in Owerri zone that bring more capital to Owerri city unlike Orlu...but even the students always run out from Owerri to their various based during holidays in order for them to feel a serenity of livable and viable city. Therefore, every development in Imo state must be situated in Owerri city/zone otherwise it will be deteriorated, this is how it meant to be, you need to understand the roadmap development of Imo state otherwise we will just be making a pointless argument on the Internet. |
