Romance › Re: Stop Hyping Marriage! It's Not An Acievement Neither Does It Make You Successful by IsaacBuchi(m): 1:29am On Mar 02, 2016 |
BoiledHead: That's the point I'm saying. You guys see this age thing as a clock or countdown that if you don't marry u nothing.
Marriage does not determine your future. It does not make you matured or better. Who said my agenda will complete at 50? Let's assume it does who said I will/must marry? . Marriage is not by force. My message is stop making it look like a law or order. its not No one cares, marriage or no marriage....so far as you arrive where you want to be....how you get their is your business - married or single. If singleness makes you happy why care what others think about your decision...people would always talk |

Greene66: He never said marriage is of no use. I thought you are matured? He said it's not worth the hype. Just like someone hyping Nokia and I say don't hype Nokia it's not as good. Does not mean I won't use Nokia or idont use Nokia.
And 50-point agenda depending on the agenda can be completed in 20 years. Even if it's 50 he completes it from his posts nothing mandates him to marry. He can just enjoy his wealth or leave it for his nephews or younger ones or he gets married. Read and understand
Point is stop hyping it. Hey man! i don't even see the point of hyping singleness on the other hand. He has no solid base to argue this out...it is as much baseless. To every man his world he rules... |

BoiledHead: What are you saying what I'm I saying?
I'm not married. I dont even plan to. Not anytime soon. Perhaps when I have completed my 50-point agenda in life then I can go and find/buy a wife. An agenda that ensures my children and their children's children will never ever be poor. Until that is achieved i don't need a child or wife. When you completed your 50 point agenda at 50 years you can then marry a young lass, give birth and leave them with money to replace you and love them. By the way so you will still marry? I thought you said it was of no use? Marriage is an institution, only matured heads can carry it. It is not meant for everybody. |

Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Why Are Most Nigerian Graduates Very Selfish Yet Expect A Miracle? by IsaacBuchi(m): 2:13pm On Feb 17, 2016 |
[b] I don't think that nairalanders or graduates here are that selfish. Obviously there are instances when such responses of, "how did you apply and all that.." exist but which does not equate or supersede the number of good a lot of youths/nairalanders are doing on this platform.
First of all such selfish responses are sometimes meant to be a joke or the responders way of saying I have never been to such interview or a want in words of what to reply.
Secondly there are several threads that has been opened on this forum hy not only working class but by fellow job seekers who wants to assist others as well, and these are done by giving selfless time and devotion to other peoples concern.
Apart from looking for jobs this forum has taught a lot of people on how to manage career, employment and other business affairs. This remains handy when some finally gets job offers. Sometimes it turns boring when someone repeatedly ask things that has been overly hammered. I won't say it wrong to ask but I sure bet that honest queries always has someone kind in nairaland to help.

Romance › Re: 5 Reasons Why You May End-up In A Bad Marriage. by IsaacBuchi(m): 1:39pm On Feb 17, 2016 |
op one question: are you married? cutebobo: Nowadays many people will come out shouting that 'my marriage is this my marriage is that' shortly after their marriage and you keep wondering what happened. I think I have some of the reasons.
Handsomeness or Beauty This is the problem of some Nigeria girls but the guys are not also exempted. They are like, 'if I want to get marry, I will a tall guy, slim, fresh guy, dark, light, eloquent english, pink lips, big breast ( for guys),. Its good to have the image of want you for your life but I must tell you, few years after wedding, all this beauty will fade away. Its not as if the partner will loose the beauty or handsomeness but then, you will focus your mind on important issues like feeding, taking care of children and so on than facial look.
Faulty Courting Courting should be like a training ground or should I say where what you really want for your family life is decided before marriage but unfortunately Nigerians see it as merry time. Moving from Kfc to Shoprite. If you see something wrong in your spouse to be, correct him or her then if he/she refuses, cancel the relationship so as to avoid 'you know me like this ooo before we get marry issue'
Two parallel lines I know of some families where the husband will be a gentle going man while the wife is really tough then you keep wondering how it happened. Issues like this also break marriages. If you are the kind of guy that does not like trouble, please don't date a troublesome lady and thinking that you can bear it now. What you can bear now my not be so years later after marriage. Love may be blind but marriage is the tool that will open it. Choose carefully my brothers and sisters.
Respect Respect is equivalent to love. You can't tell me you love a guy you want to get married to and you can't give him the respect he deserves even if you are age mates. This is where most Nigerians ladies are missing it. Some ladies don't want to marry men older than them by few years because they don't want to be controlled by any man. A lady who does not respect you as her boyfriend will surely not respect your family and that's it.
Don't let your parent or church choose your future husband for you I have heard of some cases where some churches will tell you to marry your church member. For what reason my fellow nairalanders? Don't ever do that because when you finally face challenges in that marriage, all they can do is advise both of you. Finally, don't let your parent dictate the tribe to marry to you. You owe your life and not your parent's life

INDUSTRIALFAN: sorry o no vex..... I just don't see any sense in giving 200k just like that to one or two people that would grow it. their intelligence should be used to revive the dead industries. INDUSTRIALFAN: Lol... let me start by saying I wasn't saying "YOU" wanted the money. I was just trying to paint a picture of youths waiting for 200k. secondly, I didn't say NO youth can make good use of the 200k if given. You'll have to agree with me that just a microscopic few have a vision.... others just want to make money and flex life. thirdly, I am not being biased with APC blame eish..... just so you know, I am of the opinion that you are what you make yourself..... check my signature.... We're both driving in the same train. I won't, and I don't think anyone has been helped waiting hand and toes for the past, present or even future government to solve their stomach needs. There is no denying, however, that the policies made by any government in power can either improve upon the livelihood or cripple the sustenance chances of the masses. Now you can't be against giving 200k or whatever amount to a few people. In a competition where entrepreneurs are expected to vie for a stipulated start up income, the brilliant/deserving ones can be picked, is it not? With proper selection this budding entrepreneurs can create Jobs for more people, is that not true too? We all can't be bosses some have to be employees. No entrepreneur -even if they are self reliant - would not find helpful any financial support to his business, after all it is money that grows money. The government has and will always have a larger part to play in the rise and fall of the economy of its individual citizens, but we can only try not to allow them control our fate. @JuniorPortland |
Politics › Re: Plunging Naira :don't Blame The Fg...... Blame Yourselves! by IsaacBuchi(m): 7:33pm On Jan 26, 2016 |
INDUSTRIALFAN: You don't expect a government to make much change over night when the same people that complain are same people that will still find a way to smuggle foreign goods in without thinking twice while blaming whichever government is in seat for certain back drops. How many of the youths if given 200k will do sth worth while with it when na dem love groove pass anything? everyday of the week is one party or the other.... How many successful countries have you seen hand cash out to youths? so you just wake up one day and expect free 200k to drop in your lap so you can do one business you had in mind since you were a baby? what happened to reviving the industries that prove to be lucrative but have been abandoned and getting the youths to get employed there and make decent earnings then save up to start whatever business he or she wants to do? abeg tell me another story joor... Oh pls I didn't ask for 200k nor was I suggesting the govt should drop any to me. I made a metaphor of what can be accomplished with so little in the hands of an astute &passionate entrepreneur. If you think you cant make a change with 200k or claim all the youths in Nigeria can't then meet someone who can change his world with 10k. My mentor told me even if he was placed in a hole he would make the hole so nice that people wld leave their space of paradise to live in that hole. Why do I have the feeling you have a biased fix over this 'blame APC' part? |
