Who cry don help? Nigeria is on a downward spiral of debilitating breakdown. Its like a curse that has been passed by generations. Everything is wrong with our system. We're both driving in the same train. I won't, and I don't think anyone has been helped waiting hand and toes for the past, present or even future government to solve their stomach needs.

There is no denying, however, that the policies made by any government in power can either improve upon the livelihood or cripple the sustenance chances of the masses.

Now you can't be against giving 200k or whatever amount to a few people. In a competition where entrepreneurs are expected to vie for a stipulated start up income, the brilliant/deserving ones can be picked, is it not? With proper selection this budding entrepreneurs can create Jobs for more people, is that not true too? We all can't be bosses some have to be employees. No entrepreneur -even if they are self reliant - would not find helpful any financial support to his business, after all it is money that grows money.

The government has and will always have a larger part to play in the rise and fall of the economy of its individual citizens, but we can only try not to allow them control our fate. @JuniorPortland

You don't expect a government to make much change over night when the same people that complain are same people that will still find a way to smuggle foreign goods in without thinking twice while blaming whichever government is in seat for certain back drops. How many of the youths if given 200k will do sth worth while with it when na dem love groove pass anything? everyday of the week is one party or the other.... How many successful countries have you seen hand cash out to youths? so you just wake up one day and expect free 200k to drop in your lap so you can do one business you had in mind since you were a baby? what happened to reviving the industries that prove to be lucrative but have been abandoned and getting the youths to get employed there and make decent earnings then save up to start whatever business he or she wants to do? abeg tell me another story joor...

Oh pls I didn't ask for 200k nor was I suggesting the govt should drop any to me. I made a metaphor of what can be accomplished with so little in the hands of an astute &passionate entrepreneur.

If you think you cant make a change with 200k or claim all the youths in Nigeria can't then meet someone who can change his world with 10k. My mentor told me even if he was placed in a hole he would make the hole so nice that people wld leave their space of paradise to live in that hole.

[b] I won't say u r wrong or entirely right. I would say entrepreneurship is not entirely the answer and employment is not also the answer but an astute entrepreneur has a better chance of wavering the storm of economic hardship than would an employee.

An employee's life is ruled and circled by his boss. He depends on him for survival and so he is squeezed into begrudging obedience. if he however set aside some money for a side business he can have better hope for the future.

Note that not all can be like Dangote or Oga Seun but in our little world we can change our economy. The're little shop owners who make more money than bankers. some make a bankers monthly salary in a day. With there little business most of our mothers have trained many children through university.

That said we can't all be boss someone has to be employee, but an entrepreneurial spirit is what we all should endeavor to cultivate.

With advice, reading and mentorship we can develop essential skills required to be an entrepreneur. Nothing comes on a platter of gold.

I have been married for a year now to a man that is very unattractive. I married him for two reasons

1. My younger ones and friends were all married and I was desperate at 32.
2. He treats me well

He's a good husby but I sometimes get ashamed walking with him because he's very ugly. I'm a pretty girl and when we are in public he's all over me wanting people to know we are together and I see the looks they give us.

I don't mind sleeping with this man and being his wife, I just want the feeling of shame to stop.I know some men don't treat their wife well and I feel lucky mine own does that.

My dear, there is one thing I ve come to see in life, humans are far too unappreciative. If that same man with his looks and all that ugliness you think u see was a movie or music star or some sort of a famous name I am sure u would have been looking at him differently. Infact you would have thought he was the most handsome man on earth & the best thing since sliced bread.
Humans are stars because we give them the adoration. Adore ur man and you'll come to love him. You have no choice if u want to keep or marriage but to adore him and soon you will see a star in him. Praise him in little things and with time u'll love the man (star) u make out of him.
We all beautiful in our own way if u open ur heart to notice it in others. Life is too short to complain, & be unappreciative about the things in our life. When u grow old don't have to regret that u didn't love as much u should. Its your life make it rosy for yourself and let the world die to be in it.
