If we are sitting back like against canada Regina...................ucheibe ...............Ajibade Schemerkhiz: Club or Country this trio are the best in Midfield...
To me (#12) Patri is the best Defensive Midfielder in the World followed by Germany Lena Oberdorf.
Which pair would be the possible best trio for the Superfalcons in Midfield going to the AWCON and World Cup proper • Rita Chikwelu • Ngozi Okobi • Halimatu Ayinde • Rasheedat Ajibade • Regina Otu • Christy Ucheibe •Tony Payne • Amanda Mbadi • Peace Efih • Onyi Echegini • Joy Bokiri |

No tough group here Schemerkhiz: The CONCACAF Draw.....
Group A the toughest..
4 Semi Finalists qualify directly to the World Cup... Two teams that would finish third in each group goes straight to the intercontinental Play off.. |

I'm not ranting about vandrezzer but the player invited he's way above 20 years Philosopher1979: I don't understand you. Vandrezzar fc is one of the few privately owned clubs in the country with innovative ideas. They are like leventis United of old. It's good the way nff is cooperating with them as they are set to change the face of Nigerian football. One of their coaches is even in one of our youth teams. This is a good development. You embrace progress when you see it |

For the national team she's a mildfieder Since Okobi has fallen off waldrum has prefer Ajibade over payne for the attacking midfielder role BascoVanVeli: I was talking about the national team. |

Ayinde has been out for far too long , don't expect to get back 100% Ayinde u used to know she has probably lost a pace or 2 now Schemerkhiz: If am to go with this Line up, I will definitely sit out Christy Ucheibe for Halimatu Ayinde.. |
Sports › Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by isan(m): 11:14pm On Apr 13, 2022 |
She has a position she's a striker , she's just versatile she can play anywhere in the front 3 and also a attacking midfielder BascoVanVeli: Okay but it still goes with my point that she didn't have a position. |
Sports › Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by isan(m): 10:37pm On Apr 13, 2022 |
In 2018 Ajibade didn't play in the wings , in the first game she started as an Attacking mildfielder and the Final she started as the striker BascoVanVeli: Ajibade basically didn't have a position on the team when u saw her in 2018. She was on the wings and that wasn't going to work. Deborah, Esther and Flourish play in positions that the team is actually lacking. Deborah actually got a call up already just that she had to return to the U20s. Esther and Flourish have pace to burn that can be used on the wings.
If we can throw a 19 year old Nnadozie in goal at the world cup, I believe these girls should be at least good for an invite during some friendlies. Let them at least train with the team and let the coach decide. |

Go and watch the full match , even the stat you posted showed both teams with 5 shots on target and 2 goals each every other stats is bullshit and all those your if this if that is useless do you know how many times onumonu was a touch or few inches away to breakaway on counter and score ? daveP: I missed this game despite expecting it but naptu fp highlights is enough for me.
I see nothing much to praise the ladies for except this time, Surviving.
The foolish setpieces situation reoccurred once again. Canadian Corner/set piece and all the defenders were oblivious that 4red shirts were behind them all eventually.
As big as the Canadian team are in Women's Football, they also did this nonsense marking that led to our first goal despite having the better defenders. That should make anyone know by now that this zonal thing doesn't work.
My observation about Ebi stands. Its mostly her fault the equalizer she gifted them. A quick backpass to save herself would have sufficed. That was foolish from Nnadozie too. We don't need such mistakes on a grand stage. The 2nd equalizer had Ebi blocking Nnadozie the third time. Ebi did nothing defensively to me. Its like Her and Rita are just minus 2. Unimpressed!!
For the Canadian Chance at the 27th minute, 6 of our players were blocking the line of sight of Nnadozie, plus a red shirt,. Number 4 was left unnoticed by alll of our players in the box. If any ball came to her she was either going to volley a goal in, with the space she had or take a touch and choose an angle. Our Coach need work on this weak aspect. This Wafcon have better teams now o.
I liked the game Plumptre brought this time. She really covered for Payne. The coach needs tell Payne and Ucheibe to help each other when one is out of position. Uche should play something like what Xhaka does when Tierney goes attacking. That way, Plumptre has less work facing three red shirts.
Relevance of Rita Chikwelu to this team is enough to make an epistle. She has no pass, no accuracy in passes, no cover, no aerial prowess, no tackling or flair for shooting at goal, just merely existing because of what?? Ajibade was doing her job at many points in this game. If Ajibade doesn't get a better midfield partner, even if we get our tactics right vs a wC team, Any of such team that prepares to exploit Rita will beat us with more than 3goals. Where are the Rita Replacements?? Where are these young ladies?
See that sleek one-two the red shirts did and our defense were watching in awe rather than do something? That's the one two our attack needs. For now i doubt there is any chemistry with our attack. I think that's also why Ordega was near ghost in this game. No impact whatsoever.
For players that barely did much to put the team forward, our 5,6 were already fatigued before the final whistle. Smh. If we jam the Southies in wafcon, they may beat us with just these weaknesses. Sinclair was full of life all through.
Never should a 5woman defence be used again.
Players that look ready to me
Nnadozie Ajibade Onumonu Payne
Catch up
Plumptre Alozie Ucheibe
Just there
Ordega Kanu
Minuses
Ebi Rita
How can we add this possession thing to our game? Its highly needed. At least to solve the fatigue/burn out these ladies have always. Ajibade also seem to be the one with an eye for a shot at goal. Like Ndidi, if she's injured, that's it. Its over!! Individual brilliance and Nigerian Teams!! |

I know Regina is not available I'm just asking question dkay51: All these player you guys are mentioning shey u know they were not available for the match sha. The coach knows his team and once he has his full squad we can then assess them. We had only 3 forwards for these matches where we usually have 8-9 forwards in the full squad, even the formation was mostly to maximize the number of defender we had on ground. |

In my opinion NFF should be planning how we can climb the FIFA ranking we are ranked 39 we should be playing team ranked from 25 to 15 if we can beat this teams we can move up in fifa ranking and get a favorable draw at the world cup |

Sports › Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by isan(m): 5:55am On Apr 09, 2022 |
The team is fatigued most of them only got to camp on matchday and we really have some nice shots on target to test their goalkeeper something we didnt manage to do against USA in my own opinion i will say the team has gotten better since the us series and they will be much better before the world cup JohnBullMySon: Canada's defence isn't too spectacular. A little more organization might have seen a goal. |
