DoctorAyukebot: You should be ashamed of yourself for doctoring unto others what path to tow. What better alternatives have you created for them. I know a lot of successful private school teachers. Every profession has its ups and downs, successful practitioners and failures. That you were a failure as a private school teacher shouldn't be a yardstick for the profession. You totally misunderstood the post. He's simply saying people should not get too comfortable working in a private school for long in order for them not to waste their youthful age. Yes some private school pays well but we all know what is happening in 90% of private schools in Nigeria. |

Beautifulday: Then something is wrong with Nigeria system of production.
The imported rice are bought. At what price that the local counterparts can't compete favourably?
The imported rice are transported from host nation. Initiate logistics cost isn't available in Nigerian rice production.
The imported rice incurs clearing cost which Nigerian rice do not suffer.
The imported rice has more processing value than local rice. Processing cost
The big question.
How is imported rice cheaper than local rice
Local man is confused Local Rice with low quality was becoming unaffordable for the common mass . The government should accept the fact that our local production cannot sustain 1 third of the population. |

As long as it's not affecting people directly they will stand by and watch. This country can only go forward when we start standing up for one another |

Tolumiide: You will not understand this story if you are not a victim. Public hospitals have not been working optimally for over 6 months. 1)Resident doctors were on strike for months. 2) Johesu went on strike weeks after the Doctors resumed from strike. And Nobody is talking about it. Blame the government... 12 years of no salary review for workers while that of doctors have been reviewed 3 times. If you have a conversation with the hospital workers you'll understand.. working hard but being paid peanut. Some of the reasons some of them don't act friendly |

Health › Re: FMC Abuja Reacts To Death Of Ifunanya Nwangene by Iseddy: 8:47am On Feb 02 |
Dogalmighty17: Providing CPR on a snake bite victim? This only further pushes the venom deeper into the body. The first question any competent medical professional will ask is, what kind of snake bit her? This will quickly narrow down and pinpoint the most effective anti-venom for that particular kind of snake.
The shameful disgrace of Nigeria is that the whole federal capital territory doesn't have a centre equipped with anti-venom that any hospital across Abuja can call and have it available in minutes.
Abuja is expanding. It is inevitable that this expansion will reach areas that certain wildlife have long regarded as home. These displaced animals, snakes inclusive, start entering residential areas. The case of the Airforce personnel who got bitten by a snake that crawled through her soak-away into her toilet, is fresh in memory. Her house was built in a freshly claimed area.
Yet just a 45 minute drive from Abuja, along the Abuja-Keffi expressway, is a snake farm owned by a retired Chief of Army staff. The most evil CAS this country has ever had. Snake venom is steadily harvested from that farm and shipped abroad. stop displaying your ignorance. CPR is not to treat the snake bite or fight against venom. Is probably the patient was unconscious, Not breathing or only gasping, No pulse. That was why CPR was administered. polyvalent antivenom was said to have been administered which is meant to fight any snake venom since they didn't know what type of snake bite her. |

Berankis: Writing all these medical jargons to bamboozle us doesn't change the fact that most Government-owned hospitals are very nonchalant when it comes to attending to Nigerians, especially ones requiring emergency medical attention. A lot of their doctors are always disgruntled, angry and rude. Only a few remain calm and well behaved. My last experience at the Lagos State General Hospital wasn't very pleasant at all. I just feel the current Nigeria is frustrating the hell out of every Nigerian. Government neglected the health sector. Those health workers are working like slaves. Imagine all government hospitals has been working skeletal for 3 months now because of JOHESU strike and the government still refuse to honour their demand an agreement of 12 years ago. Just imagine no salary review for the past 12 years and compare it with inflation today. When learned about their demand and reason for the strike I honestly support them. The government is our problem not the health workers |
