Take a look at dangote cement that was listed in 2010 at N135 per share and see the growth so far which happens because not everybody can produce cement therefore the competition is low. Aside dividends shareholders enjoyed, the growth of dangote cement from 2010 till today is over 700% ROI. I'm not advising anyone to buy or discouraging anyone from buying but people should have a basic knowledge of the particular company they are investing into and also know that shocks are high risk investment. Before investing do the basic checks of what the company is into, owners, debts, projected future growth, the edge over competitors (other companies in the same business), the yearly revenue, market availability and cost of production etc. once you have gathered all this information then you make your decision whether to invest in the company or not. But sadly most people invest blindly and with high hopes based on what they feel or what people are saying. Another important thing is that people should not judge a company's growth by the price of its shares but based on the value of the company.

it's easy to judge people from afar without getting to know their true story. Sometimes we think those that are struggling are lazy. The Nigerian system has failed it's citizens that's just the truth, and people are willing to do anything to survive. You spend 1M in 2 months but also know that some familie's yearly income is not even up to 1m.
Also for the 50m you mentioned, anybody that have the opportunity to own 50m and still go broke, that person is financially st¥p!d. Because even if you have zero knowledge in business, one can just divide 40m into 3, and put like 13m in FG bond for 3 consecutive months, therefore every month you'll be getting like 1.8M returns, the remaining 10m you use it to arrange your life.
