Oyo State governor-elect, Engr Seyi Makinde visited outgoing governor Abiola Ajimobi today. This is coming 6 days after Makinde, who is of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, defeated All Progressives Congress, APC, candidate, Oloye Adebayo Adelabu in the governorship election.

Just few hours into the electoral exercise that took place across various states in Nigeria, saw an Oyo State honourable Olatoye Sugar mudered by some unknown gunmen. Sugar was House of Representatives member in Abuja representing Lagelu / Akinyele Federal Constituency under the platform of APC from 2015-2019.

His bid to run for senate in 2019 made him decamped from APC to ADP to pursue his career. He was later rushes to the University College Hospital Ibadan at the late hours of the election day, but gave up to ghost that same day due to the gunshots he had on his face.

The Nigeria police has swung into action to make sure those who killed the honourable are brought to book.
