That arrest should be termed "illegal" because since the NASS have expunged forged certificate or certificate forgery from the Electoral act, it should also be applicable to every facet of the Nigerian agencies. What is good for the goose should also be good for the gander. Politicians alone cannot enjoy that fraud |

Please which one would you strongly advice Between Sponsoring my wife's Nursing career to the UK or Enroll for Msc in Construction Project Management in the UK?
My aim for the Msc is as a means to jakpa and reside in the UK to continue working not that I really needed the Msc.
Please i need your candid advice. Thanks. In such a situation "The Golden Rule" prevails. Since you also have the mind of JAPA. Go first, hustle and then come back to pick your family, not your wife coming to pick you. QED |
Food › Re: Agege Bread with "Best Before" Date? Why can’t our local bakers do this? by isio1: 12:45pm On Feb 19 |
sinorte: I was at the store recently and picked up some Agege-styled bread. What caught my eye wasn't just the softness, but a clear 'Best Before' date printed on the packaging.
It seems this is the standard in the Western world, and it got me thinking about our bread industry back home in Nigeria.
My Questions for the House: 1. Safety vs. Tradition: Most of us buy bread in nylon bags without any reliable info. We rely on "pressing" the bread to check for freshness. Isn't it time we moved past this and demanded proper labeling?
2. The "Chemical" Factor: Do you think some bakers avoid dates because they use preservatives to keep the bread soft for weeks? A date would force them to be more honest about their ingredients.
3. NAFDAC's Role: Why is it that many of our local staples get away without these basic consumer protections?
I know our "street" bread is legendary, but shouldn't we be evolving? Or do you think adding dates will just increase the price of a loaf for no reason?
Let’s discuss. Have you ever bought bread in Nigeria that actually had an expiry date? Or are we just "living by faith" with our breakfast? There's expiry date on BOKKU 🍞 bread nylon. But for the now (today), I don't know if they are still going on with the format. |

Naijahero1: To be sincere, with the way Tinubu attacked Jonathan, I was expecting TInubu to come and teach Oga Joe a lesson on how to solve Nigeria's problems but he is even worse. Everything is propaganda and lies. I was expecting my Yoruba people to be at the front of those warning or even disowning him because the terrorists are already in the Southwest, growing and waxing, to my shock they're divided, mute and looking for what to collect and eat while their brothers in Kwara die like flies. Why didn't they learn from Plateau, Benue and Kwara? The sane and reasonable ones are talking and criticising his bad policies. Not all Yorubas are his supporters. You think US is dumb, they have access to informations beyond your government. There are people who are involve in terrorism secretly while openly appearing like saints. Who believed initially that the US strike against terrorists in Nigeria would be Sokoto? Average Nigerian were expecting Borno, Zamfara etc. But Sokoto was their headquarters.
So this guys have classified informations that average Nigerian doesn't have. So where is Sheik Gumi, Modu and Yerima the former Governor who introduced Sharia in Zamfara State in all of this?? I am not doubting your perspective just to be clear. |

Ihaveleftnaija: If we want the same standards and annual budget South Africa has, are we willing to pay the price they are paying for all the development they have? That's the biggest question. South Africans pay 40% and above in taxation, are ready for that or we just want the beauty and class without paying the price tag for it ? You cannot be this organised and developed without the budget to match the standards. Let's pay the taxes first and complain later if the government doesn't deliver. The natural resources that our country (Nigeria) is blessed with, do they (South Africa) have them in the same measure Why not also compare the corruption rate. If you really want Nigerians to pay 40% tax. If the government can reasonably minimize or wipe out corruption or even reduce government wastages, development can come with even minimal tax. Nigerians are very ready to pay any amount, e.g after the whole noise about fuel subsidy, are Nigerians not paying today? |
