Coalition of Niger Delta Agitators has condemned the recent alliance meeting between the Yorubas, Middle Belt, South East and Niger Delta Elders. The coalition in a statement made available to DAILY POST on Monday also hinted that it would declare Niger Delta Republic on September 1 if its demands are not met by the Nigerian government. The group said while the Niger Delta leaders could meet Igbo and Middle Belt, it was against Yoruba which allegedly acts against the interest of the South South region. The statement reads: “The eight years of President Olusegun Obasanjo was a total disappointment. He failed to develop the Niger Delta or resolve the Niger Delta issues. Even the NDDC he created was not funded in order to drive the development of Niger Delta according to master plan. “After so much agitation and pressure by the Militants, Obasanjo decided to nominate Goodluck Jonathan as running mate to ;ate Yar’adua, the Yorubas were not comfortable having Vice President from Niger Delta, this was demonstrated in 2014 APC Primaries election. The Presidential candidate was zoned to the North to complete the tenure of late Yar’adua while the Vice President supposed to be zoned to the South South to complete the tenure of the Niger Delta. “But the Yorubas ignored and brought their son. Today the Yorubas have the Acting President and the Minister of Works, Power and Housing who ignores the East-West road and concentrates only on Benin-Ore road, which is their own. “The Acting President tour of the Niger Delta states was a camouflage to deceive the Niger Delta people. After many months since the Acting President visited, there is nothing good come out from the visit. The call by the Acting President for the relocation of the head office of the Oil/Gas companies to their operational base was a great joke which we know even if he is the President he would not enforce it. “The greatest enemy of the Niger Delta people are the Yorubas. They constantly do everything possible to frustrate the progress and development of the Niger Delta region. They are in control of the Oil/Gas companies, they pay taxes and royalties to Lagos state government instead of Niger Delta states. “If we are to continue as one Nigeria from October 1st, 2017 we demand as follows: Restructuring and True Federalism that will give all the zones equal right; Total Resource Control; Removal of the Group Managing Director – NNPC; Removal of the National Security Adviser; All the Oil/Gas companies and their servicing companies must relocate their headquarters to their operational base. “Also, there must be concrete arrangement that come 2019, the President or Vice President must come from any of the Niger Delta States; Sixty percent (60%) of oil blocs in the Niger Delta should be awarded by Niger Delta people. “We resolved to unfold the programmes for October 1st, 2017 declaration of Niger Delta Republic on September 1st 2017, if the Federal Government failed to meet up our demands as stated above”. The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has reacted to the alleged report which claims its leader Nnamdi Kanu declared Anambra State Governor, Willie Obiano free of complicity in the alleged massacre of IPOB members and Biafrans at large in the State. The group’s media and publicity secretary, Emma Powerful in a statement made available to ORIENTAL TIMES said Obiano was in actual fact indicted by Kanu for doing nothing in his capacity as the chief security officer of the state to stop the massacre. IPOB however insisted that it will continue to hold the governor responsible for the death of IPOB family members in Anambra until result of the findings of a panel of inquiry proves otherwise. The statement read in full: “We the members of the indigenous people of Biafra (IPOB) worldwide under the command and leadership of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu disassociate our leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu over the purported and concocted rumours going round the city that during his visit to Eze Eri Eze Chukwu Emeka of Agulu Eri that he exonerated Chief Willie Obiano the Governor of Anambra State from the massacre of IPOB members and Biafrans at Nkpor on the 29th and 30th of May 2016 during the remembrance day celebration. “We want to make it categorically clear that IPOB leader did not exonerate Obiano but instead indicted him for not halting the massacre as the chief security officer of the state and also for reporting to the kangaroo Army Board of Enquiry that nobody was killed at Nkpor and Onitsha head bridge when there are innumerable eye witness accounts backed up by video and pictorial evidence, the evidences was presented to the well recognized international human rights organizations in the world like Amnesty International, Human Right Watch etc. “We IPOB is holding Governor Obiano responsible because about 60 of those butchered and buried in mass graves by Hausa Fulani dominated Islamic Army of Northern Nigeria, voted for him during his last election, IPOB campaigned door to door for his election in 2014. “To put the record straight, we are aware that Governor Obiano did not kill anybody by himself or fired anybody with bullets but as the number one citizen and chief security officer of the state he is culpable for not rising up on time to stop the massacre of those that campaigned vigorously for him in 2014 rather he came up through his information commissioner condemned and tagged the innocent civilians who gathered to celebrate their fallen heroes and heroines during the war of genocide against the people of Biafra in 1967 and 1970 as miscreants and hoodlums who came to destroy the state, is on record. Obiano must come out openly and tell the public what actually happened on that particular day in Anambra State. “There is no way these explanations amount to endorsement unless those that watched the video of the meeting between our leader and Eze Chukwu Emeka Eri the 34th need psychiatric help or examination in their brains. Our request from Willie Obiano remains that he must constitute an independent panel with powers to subpoena witnesses and documents to thoroughly investigate what happened in public. “Only the result of the findings of the panel of inquiry will exonerate or clear Obiano’s name. As long as the status quo remains, we will continue to hold Obiano responsible for the death of IPOB family members in Anambra State. The gruesome massacre of IPOB members at Nkpor, Awka and Head Bridge Onitsha all in Anambra State under the watch of Obiano is one of the reasons why there will be no election in Anambra State come 18 November 2017. “IPOB have no control over what people say or media outlets that wish to report such news. “What we know is that IPOB will defend whatever our leader say anywhere anyplace because he has not lied to IPOB and he cannot do that because he visited Agulueri and Umuleri the home town of Willie Obiano. “More so, every event, trip or gathering made by our leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is meticulously documented and recorded for posterity. The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) says “enemies” planted in its group were responsible for comparing Nnamdi Kanu to Jesus Christ. In a statement on Sunday, Emma Powerful, spokesperson of IPOB, claimed that the Department of State Services (DSS) and unnamed politicians were behind a plot to defame Kanu. Powerful said Kanu is a Christian and will never challenge the authority of God. “It is dangerous comparing him with God Almighty or Jesus Christ. It is the work of enemies planted within us by DSS and some politicians. Those involved in this ridiculous scandal and deformation of character will fail without delay and God Almighty Chukwu Okike Abiama must deal with them,” the statement read in part. “Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the IPOB leader in his life never challenged the authority of God Almighty who created Heaven and earth or Jesus Christ the son of God even the spirit. “Nnamdi Kanu is a Christian and cannot blaspheme God Almighty and his son Jesus Christ, those using his name as saviour, messiah and Jesus are misinformed and uneducated because he never asked them to do so.” Powerful further said it was not the wish of Kanu to boycott the Anambra governorship election but that of the eastern part of the country and IPOB members who visited him in Umuahia. “The boycott of election in Anambra State come November this year was not the making of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu rather the wish of eastern Nigeria and IPOB members who visited him in his home town Umuahia, where the people told him that they don’t need election again in Biafra land and they are ready to boycott election because since the creation of Nigeria they benefited nothing in Nigeria elections except killing, riots and humiliation from our politicians,” it read. “Since the announcement for the election boycott in Anambra state, the federal government and their agent the DSS mapped out strategies and huge amount of money sharing to destroy and tarnish the image of Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB in general, those with this stupid story on social media platforms should retrace their steps because they will fail.” http://biafrasay.com/p/326741/those-comparing-kanu-to-jesus-are-enemies-planted-within-us SOURCE : http://biafrasay.com 3 Likes 1 Share |

The Obong of Calabar, Edidem Ekpo Okon Abasi Otu V, has dissociated the palace and people of Efik kingdom from the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu and his agitation. The monarch also called on the Police to arrest the man who recently visited Kanu, claiming to be his ’emissary’. This is contained in a statement on Saturday by Chairman of the Etuboms’ Traditional Council, Palace of the Obong of Calabar, HRH Etubom Bassey Okor Bassey Duke. It described the man whose identity remains unknown to the palace as an impersonator, who must face the full wrath of the law. The statement reads: “The attention of the Obong of Calabar-in-Council has been drawn to a video currently making the rounds on social media in which a person is seen claiming to have been sent by the Obong of Calabar to ask Nnamdi Kanu of IPOB to visit him. “The Obong of Calabar is one of only eight rulers recognised by the Federal Republic of Nigeria as Natural Rulers and Treaty Kings whose kingdoms existed hundreds of years before the amalgamation, and who interacted with, and signed Treaties and Agreements with Sovereign Nations in Africa and Europe. “The content of this video is therefore a ridiculous insult, and the Obong of Calabar-in-Council dissociates itself completely from everything to do with the person and fake message carried in the video. “From the poor illegitimate dressing, intonation, accent and comportment, it is clear that the person is a petty impersonator with dubious intentions.
