A secondary school student was electrocuted in Eyaen community in Benin city, Edo state yesterday July 12th. According to reports, the deceased was on his way home when he tripped and fell touching an electric pole.

Apparently, there was an accident in the community two days ago and one of the cars hit the high tension pole built with cement and rods. The accident destroyed a part of the cement, exposing the rod with electricity. The young boy when he tripped, fell and touched the metal part. He was electrocuted.

The lagos state police has paraded the 120 cultists they arrested On the "7th of July" which was the day their confraternity marks its creation anniversary. 

one big banner with 07 logo, one big clay pot, two small calabashes and one locally made pistol were recovered from them. They will all be charged to court after investigations concerning their activities have been concluded.

A woman fainted, this morning, upon hearing that her only child was among the over 30 Olabisi Onabanjo University students arrested at a nightclub, on Friday, July 6, 2018, for wearing black shirts.

According to the SUG president of the institution, the students were later tagged cultists and forced to lie in their statements that they were arrested on July 7, the day confraternity marks its creation anniversary.

The police claim they were wearing black because they are members. All efforts to secure their release have proven abortive.
