schwarzkopf: That turn coat need to be primaried, Heitkamp is in more precarious situation than him, she is still voting no. He can't be primaried because the primaries are already over and done with. And At the moment, that his act of voting for Kavanaugh is what will keep his seat in the democrats column, if he made the mistake of voting against Kavanaugh, he would have been kicked out by voters in his home state. The only reason heitkamp voted as she did was because she is already 12 points down in her race because right leaning voters in North Dakota have already aligned with her opponent. If she voted yes, she would also lose left leaning voters too. Either way, she is doomed, only a miracle of monumental proportions will save her from defeat in November |

Justice Kavanaugh is now seated on the Supreme court. Democrats can cry me a river, that won't still stop them from getting the spanking that is coming their way in November |

Brett Kavanaugh has the votes, he will be confirmed tomorrow and the democrats can wail all they want. These nonsense by democrats has energised the Rebuplican base and they will come out again in their numbers to kick democrats asses again in November |

wirinet: You are wrong, putting America first without considering other nation's interests eventually leads war. Putting ones nations interest first above all other interests was what led to so many wars in history. Subduing to some extent your own interests in the interest of all is what led to the planet having its most peaceful period in the history of mankind.
If Trump breaks down that tradition formed after WW2 and promote every nation for itself, then we will be back to our ignoble past.
America might feel so powerful now and feel it can impose it's interests on everyone, but power does not reside with one nation forever. Another wrong conclusion from you, Trump has not said he doesn't consider other nations interests too, all he is saying is that America's interest will be his number one priority and that's what every President should do. I wouldn't be happy if the president of my country put other country's interest above my country's interest. My country's interest should be my president's number one priority |

wirinet: That's where the OBVIOUS lie is. I grew up in the 80s so I know it's impossible to party and get drunk without "sexually assaulting" girls. The problem is the definitiion of sexual assault in 2010s is not the same as sexually assault in the 1980s. Pinning a girl to the wall at a drunken party was not termed sexually assault in the 80s. If you Look at all the teenage comedies we watched and enjoyed in the 80s, you will scream sexual abuse today. Go and watch all the national lampoon films. Then every man who drank in the eighties shouldn't be qualified for any post if we follow your reasoning since there is no way they couldn't have sexually assaulted girls , but since there is no way you would have known every single person who got drunk in the eighties or what they did when they were drunk, I will rather advise you not to generalize. The fact that people you know are doing something or that it is been done in movies doesn't mean that everybody else is doing it. |

wirinet: It's not about Trump, but the widening gap and division between the liberals and the Trumpians (not republicans). Even if Trump is impeached or serves out his term(s), a new republican administration would continue with the racist, nationalist and America first policy. Read up on how and why Hitler won the election in Germany and imposed nationalist Germany first policies. I know all about Hitler and Trump is nothing like Hitler, Trump is not racist, And there is nothing wrong with an American President putting America first |

wirinet: In reality, I do not support bringing up issues from ones youth to disqualify someone from office. My quarrel with Kavanaugh is the lies. Why lie? The accusations were not rape but sexual assault. He could simply have said I might have done some few things in my teens I now regret. Maybe we drank a bit too much and did what we should not have, but I did not rape anyone. I apologise for all wrongs and pains I might have caused. One think I can say is that I had lived an exemplary life as an adult and have pursued the highest degree of moral and professions conduct.
Believe me I would have supported him, because in the 80s we all did naughty things in our teens. Even Obama admitted to smoking marijuana. In other words, he should have accepted that he sexually assaulted someone when he didn't and then all will be well? He accepted that he drinks beer, he accepted that he sometimes had more beer than he should so where is the lie? The only thing you guys are angry about is that he defended himself vigorously against allegations of sexual assault. He didn't do it so why should he accept that he did? |

wirinet: An FBI investigation that the accusers and key witnesses were not questioned? What kind of investigation is that? At the rate trump and his white supremacist, misogynistic and nationalistic supporters are going, the US might be pushed into a second civil war. The difference being that this time, lots of blacks would fight on the side of the confederates (slave owners). Hahahaha , what won't I hear on nairaland? A civil war in America because Trump is president? Lol , then you better go and get your weapons ready because Trump is not leaving anytime soon. |

Politics › Re: Shame: Bukola Saraki Demoted A Serving Senator To State House Of Assembly. by itchie: 3:32am On Oct 05, 2018 |
donphilopus: The present Speaker (Ali Ahmad) of Kwara State House of Assembly who was shortchanged during the governorship primaries was also demoted by Saraki. He was in the House of Reps from 2011-2015 before he was demoted to the House of Assembly and later made the Speaker while the then Speaker of the House of Assembly (2011-2015), Atunwa, was promoted to the House of Reps. He's now the governorship candidate of PDP in the State.
Tinubu and Saraki are both political godfathers but at least one is still being fair to his people. He doesn't impose on others. When he anoints any candidate and the others reject, he allows primaries decide. Unlike who doesn't allow primaries. He prefers to handpick everyone. That means Tokunbo Afikuyomi was also shortchanged by Tinubu who demoted him from senator to commisioner |

The Democratic party cry babies have started whining all over again after reading the FBI report. Kavanaugh has had seven background investigations by the FBI and these losers are still crying that it's not thorough enough. Trump says that even if the FBI does 100 background checks on Kavanaugh, these losers will still not be satisfied and he is right |

LordReed: Really? A judge does not know how to be certain about legal conditions in the past? Are you fucking kidding me?
He by his own admission is a drunk, an obnoxious one (that starts fights in bars), what evidence are you asking for again? Look, I'm not interested in unnecessary argument this morning. Like I said before, goodluck to you guys in trying to use these as an argument for perjury. Perjury is a federal crime you know. If he committed perjury, he will be prosecuted for it. But I've seen all the funny evidence been put out by you guys and I can assure you that no case of perjury can be brought against him on those basis. Only a lunatic prosecutor will stake his or her reputation to bring these laughable case before a judge |

LordReed: 1. He was not legally of age to drink in Maryland, he said he was.
2. He said he never crossed the legal limits for blood alcohol levels, he obviously did. Lol ; you guys are jokers, on your first point, you obviously don't understand the meaning of the phrase "to the best of my knowledge ". That was his recollection of what happened 36 years ago!! If I asked you to recount to the best of your knowledge what happened to you ten years ago, can you honestly claim that you can make a hundred percent accurate description of it? Goodluck with trying to use that as an example of perjury. As for your second claim, where is your evidence that he did cross the legal limits for alcohol consumption? |
